HI MAT TUCK You win the gold divot tool. I will send it out this week. Please send me email sidekickgolf@gmail.com and please include a photo or screenshot of you EDITING this comment to prove it is you!!!! PLEASE ASAP!!!
My lowest score is a 93. I just picked up this addiction 2 years ago. I wasn't able to break 100 for a year and was getting frustrated and upset every time I played. Than I found this channel and my outlook on golf has completely changed. The way of the playa is the only way !
Keep at it! You'd be surprised what happens if you get a lucky break or two. My best score stood at 91 for what seemed like FOOOOrEVERrrr. Then I grinded out an 88, I haven't broke 90 since then(STILL COUNTS)lol...Golf is funny...
Nobody on these videos ever tops an iron or does a worm burner off the tee like I do lo. Really do enjoy the videos though and will definitely incorporate this method to try to get better!
When you started the tuba right before his birdie putt I was begging it to be a fake out 🤣 well played. Best score is a 90 in May, which at the time was way better than my standard 96-98. Last two 9 hole rounds I’ve gone 44-43 so we are seeing improvement. Sub-90 is coming
Matt I want to say thank you for everything you do with this channel. As someone who struggles with bad depression I try to play golf to get out and get sunshine and exercise. All too often (I am a 25 handicap) I get frustrated (poor technique and no distance) and end up feeling worse. Your videos and this channel help so much with taking a step back, and putting it all into perspective. Every time I get down about my game I come here and watch the latest video and without fail I am inspired to relax, get back to the course and apply the principles you teach. It... really... helps. So thank you for what you do. I just wanted you to know that you help people and it matters.
Chris, great job getting out and fighting the depression. I'd suggest a lesson, a good pro will help you get better distance results, find your power leaks, and get more consistent. Why stay frustrated?
@@chrismayne1613 Good to hear about the lessons. The dumbest/ best thing about golf is that even if you mess up a shot, the next shot can totally make up for it. I'm completely convinced that the 2nd and 3rd shots are the most important. Go get 'em.
Chris, it's been two years since you wrote your post. You literally describe me when you wrote it. I also love coming here to watch the videos. A great lifter of the spirit when I do. I also have been taking lessons for the last year and even though my game is still crap, I enjoy my shots more and the game is more enjoyable. Hope all is well your end, John
My best is 69 on a par 71. Everything clicked that day. With my father in law and made a memory for us both that will last a lifetime. After all that's what golf is all about for us! Great memories and fun times!
To help get my overall score out of my head; "My Par" for every hole is five (5x18=90). It helps build my confidence and make it fun for me, shoot par on a par 3. I saved TWO strokes.
best round ever 77 off stick, net 66 , only fortnight ago ,somewhat easier course than what you guys play, slope is 113. But couldnt have done it with out your "way of the playya", cheers anf thanks
Congratulations J-Mac on the 80 and B-Dog on the 86! I finally broke 90 last week...87. Matched it again yesterday. This is an encouraging video both for the shots AND how to play the next shot. Once I quit trying to hit hero shots the doubles and triples dropped way down and the pars began to appear. Best video from GS that made me keep going despite the 110s is How to Break 80 With a Banana Slice. Watch Didi’s swing and see how he broke 80 because HE UNDERSTANDS EVERY CLUB PERFECTLY. That’s what I’m striving for. On to break 80! Thanks Matt for your channel and your website. You’ve made golf fun again because I’m not trying to compare myself to a PGA pro anymore; the ego is gone and so are the 100s!
My lowest score so far is an 89,ive had it twice and there's hopefully still plenty of improvement to go from it your videos are definitely helping matt.
This video spoke to me in so many different ways. I shot 86 yesterday, from the whites, while watching a guy in the group in front of me struggle and be frustrated while playing the blues. I’m playing where I should play from, getting the results that I should be getting, and not getting angry when I golf. My last 4 rounds are Avg-88 and I’ve lost 6 balls off the tee in 72 holes, playing at courses I’m not 100% familiar with. Keep the good lesson coming!!!
Shot 84 when I was 13, that never happened again. But I'm playing today after a couple years of not paying, I'm 19 now so yardage will be longer than 6 years ago, at least by 70 yds. Wish me luck playas
shot 79 this year, this season dropped my handicap from 18 to 13 by ultra stress free golf, with almost no swing changes. Just changing my mindset. it has been an awesome season.
I broke 100 for the first time two years ago when I found your channel, still had a driver in the bag. Broke 90 for the first time by the end of that season (2018). Then I broke 85 for the first time, best score ever of 84 without a driver in my bag. It broke on that fateful fathers day of 2018 and still haven’t gotten my driver back from the pro shop hahaha. Every so often when I’m out playing with the pro I ask him how the progress is on fixing it... or at this point just giving it back to me to fix. But I’m playing better golf than I ever have before! The stress free/IDGAF system has done wonders for me... but I’m starting to get the itch that itch to hit that driver again lol. Play on, playas
In playing consistently over the last 2 months, my lowest score is a 91 and it's all thanks to this channel. My course management and temperament has gone through the roof... as has my really bad South African accent! #RoadToSub90
My buddy across the country turned me on to Golf Sidekick two days ago. Incredibly helpful! I love your videos Matt! Next up: Break 90! Whattaplaya!! Thank you, thank you, thank you. Dave and Adam in Canada.
Was able to break 90 thanks to the WOTP last year... my best is 85...now let's break 80 💪💪💪...shot 89 two days ago on a new course playing from the back tee...just used my 3 wood or 4 hybrid from the tee box...Thanks Matt for this channel!
Hi Matt, it took me a year to get below 100. I used to keep you posted on my scores but got carried away when I got below 100 and forgot to tell you. But now I’m shooting low 90’s on a regular basis. I came equal first in a competition last Saturday with 93, came second on count back. PB = 91 (non comp day) I’ve dropped 5 points off my handicap since February Thanks for your great videos
Such great content! Matt, you are amazing! Watching these videos has changed my approach to golf. As a 20+ handicap golfer I have gone through the struggles of trying to improve my game for years!! I knew I had enough talent to do it but I wasn’t playing right way to get there.. I played my last round using only my 7 iron and below. I adopted the lessons from these videos and shot +17 on my last round! This system truly works.
Great video Matt. Great work B-Dog! You the man. Sub 80 coming soon! Still haven’t managed to break 90 since we shot the vids, but this is a great example of how to execute the system by thinking through the round and avoiding head worms.
I went from shooting 120s a year ago to a PB 86 2 months ago. Been taking lessons from a pro for the swing and keeping the way of the playa in my mind at all times, I’m obsessed with this game
My best score in an 87...I've only broken 90 once, but can see myself doing it more consistently playing Ultra Stress Free Golf! Thanks for the videos!
I’m shooting old school bdog rn. I shoot 120 normally. This is my first year ever golfing. I still have a lot of fun. But thanks to this channel and taking advice my score went from 148 to 120 in 6 rounds. On to 110
B-Dog is my golf doppleganger! I felt for him so bad when I was watching the video where you gave him the "get lessons" ultimatum - I always knew I needed lesson but I kept telling myself that I'd find the magic UA-cam video that gave me the key to unlocking that perfect swing. Seeing Brian's lesson was eye-opening, and instantly convinced me to schedule a lesson that week. I've been taking lessons consistently for the past 6 months and the results have been incredible. I was probably shooting 130+ rounds (didn't keep score), just slicing and hacking my way all over the course. I'm consistently in the 90's now, having broken 90 once. I think it's the only video I've watched on UA-cam that I would label as truly "life-changing". THANK YOU!
Shot 87 once. Started 18 on a later tee time. Had to rush through the back 9 to finish before we couldn’t see anything. Wasn’t thinking to much about my play, only thing on my mind was finishing before it was completely dark. That mindset of not thinking about the ball, shot, swing, etc but just playing to finish helped me play my best round ever. Plus we were literally running between shots on the last few holes.. had no time to think! Gave me a new outlook on my mindset when I play. Gotta chill out and have fun!
Mate, the best I’ve ever played on 18 was a 95 and i literally felt like every shot was tiger woods, just shows how difficult golf is and the fine lines between 10+ - 10- shots
This channel has changed my golf!!! Before this channel, I almost quit got because I was always 100 plus every time out. I am four months into this channel and have taken on the way of the playa and shot my best score ever at 89! I am now a constant 93-95! Thanks for the great content and the breaking 90 series!
I have to say ever since I started watching this channel a few weeks back, now I’ve maintained my score under 90, personal best is 84 and feeling better for this Sunday... stress free golf really works
I wasn't really convinced to give golf a try again until I saw these videos. You all look like you are having a blast, that golf is actually fun instead of the stress it used to be for me. I can't hit the ball worth shit so I will be following this channels example and getting that lesson, then trying to play 150 psp golf when next season starts here.
Tried to apply some of this to my round today. Didn’t work on bringing my score down because I still strike very inconsistently but the mentality of it really helped.
Great stuff Matt. I was here in the beginning. Some of your vids began to waver early on and so did my watching. There were times when I would pull up golf vids, including yours just for entertainment purposes and for a while that is the only reason I watched. But, if you pay attention, there is always valuable information to be had. I guess I would honestly have to say, any of my game improvement over the last few years has been due to Golfsidekick more than anything else. You have come so far and brought me with you. I have really been enjoying the brand you have built. Thanks!
That'a a fantastic improvement and you can see how much more enjoyment the man is getting from his game! Bad shots instantly forgotten and celebrating the good! Well done
great mention about the "forward tees". My course is pretty darn long, I've moved even further forward to senior tees. Treating myself to lower scores and keeping it fun. When I shoot a few 79's I'll go back. :)
On the last hole of my round yesterday, I planted a feather and then proceeded to make about a 20' birdie putt on the hole. It really does work. Thanks for producing this great content.
92, and finally getting some instructions that I can relate to and helping me understand the swing vs having every cliché thrown at me and making me play worse
Shot a 72 last week - everything was going my way. Normally shoot closer to 80-81. Been watching your videos for a few years now, I love your mental approach to the game and the way you break down each hole. Keep it coming!
Superb video! So inspiring. Took a lesson, watched lots of golf sidekick videos and I finally broke 90. Once I broke 90 it was easier to do it again. Thanks playa-in-chief!!! You and your crew are the best. Cheers from Houston, Texas!!!
About four years ago I had shot a 73. Best part was I was playing in a tournament! Since then I have only been able to shoot a couple of 74's and been struggling to get back to those mid-low 70s. However, i've been following the way of the playa over the last year and a bit and has helped me out immensely with how I approach a course, as well as keeping m entertained! I couldn't thank you enough Matt
Started playing a few months ago after 5 years off. First 2 rounds were in the 110s, last round was 104 with 3 blow up hole, +13 on 3 holes. I’m sniffing under 100, which I’ve never done. Matt’s advice on mindset has been such a help.
So happy to see Brian playing so well keep going dude and I can’t wait to see the video where you smash 80 hopefully me and you can both get there this year!!
I shot 96 and then 100 back to back this year. First time breaking or matching 100 probably ever in my life, I owe a lot of it to this channel for changing my mentality (technique still work in progress lol).
Shot 88 2 weeks ago, and I know you have so much to do with that!!! Watching your course management on your channel has taught me so much, and allows me to take the pressure off of constantly striving for par. (I've played 2x at the same course since, and shot 90 and 91, so I know I'm getting way more consistent than I used to be!) THANK YOU!!!!
My lowest score is 92 and have got it twice. That’s why I used the ring bell on your Chanel so I can watch these videos. To get lower score I need to take out my ego and play fun and safe golf. If I play bogey golf its money for me. Love your videos like most of us🥰🏌️♂️💪
Just shot my lowest score of 91 yesterday with a heatwave, lots of distractions, etc. Mindset stayed calm, and my putting improved immensely because of your "How to putt like a BAUS" video! I even kept a goose feather I found and planted it every time I had a birdie putt (3 chances). I had 1 truly bad hole which prevented me breaking 90 but it didn't discourage me! I'll break 90 next round for sure!
i hit the course for the first time 4 weeks ago. Shot 131 (which i was actually happy with, considering i had no idea how to pitch/chip and didn't know how to use a driver also... It was a last minute invite from a friend, so i really had no time to practice anything. Honestly i was just trying to be under double par haha... Been practicing a lot ever since. Heading out for my second time tomorrow, really hoping i can bring it way down.
Thanks Matt!!!!! Just used your strategy/philosophy on my first round in 18months. Set my expectations as a par90 and Beat it!! No doubt if I went in thinking 72 I would have deflated myself after a few holes
Lowest score is an 81! Had 82 the week before and shot low 90s before that. This channel has had a great influence on how I approach the game. Waddachannel
My lowest so far was an 83. It won me the comp on the day at my club, I was delighted but it could have been even better. My handicap was 17 on that day. I've had an 85 since but not played a lot this year thanks to Covid 19. Can't wait to get back out there, especially seeing this vid! 🙂 Well done Brian!
My lowest was a 67. I shot 9 under in the first 10 holes. The entire clubhouse turned out to join me at the turn. Having 50+ people with me ended my great round on the back 9 and blew it with 4 boggies... Now I haven't played in years since my clubs were stolen. I just got fitted and scooped up new clubs. So far I'm dead straight but MUCH shorter than I was previously. Age or the different setup might contribute to that. Well and I practice much less... I used to hit 2k range balls and putt and chip for 16 hours for every one round I played. Those were the good old days LOL. Need to practice some more to get the distance dialled in. Love your philosophy Matt! Amy
Bro so Much thinking goes into your videos honestly, this is the best golf channel ever. I play exactly like B DOG and you give players like us hope 💪🤣
Congrats to both J-Mac & B-Dawg. well played Playas.. Another six months of this consistency and I'm sure we will be seeing a Xmas special where they take on the Playa-in-chief himself.. woot woot!
Shot 45 on my home course Georgia National 2 weeks after watching your breaking 100 and 90 videos Playa. Oh yeah this was on the front side before the time change. But it was all I could do to break tipple digits before this. I can't wait to get 18 in...
Like B Dog, my best is a recent 86, off the whites. I started watching this channel fall/winter 2018-2019. The first video I recall is the one where he was trying to break 100. Since then, I’ve used a lot of the advice on this channel (and Matt’s sister’s!). I literally started golf at age 50, and started with professional lessons to learn it “right”. Stressing short game, my pro started me with putting and chipping/pitching. I still can’t hit a driver worth a damn, but I manage my expectations (again, advice from this channel) and currently am just striving to break 100 on a regular basis. More lessons will come this winter, maybe with new clubs! Thank you, Golf Sidekick (and Tea Time!) for the great content! I owe you a few shirt purchases!
Been in the 110 to 120 range for awhile. Last month, I smashed my PR and shot a 94. I attribute that to playing smarter and clubbing down to avoid trouble. Stress free golf is the way to go, it lets the “PLAYER” come out and play!
Well done B Dawg and J Mac, you have inspired me to commit to my golf and really see how much fun I can have playing golf rather than worrying about a couple of bad shots lol
Anybody else find themselves on the golf course trying to imitate his accent? What an insane Bause!! I've also adopted the planting feathers thing he does.
Thanks for the vids guys! Broke 100 for first time a couple of weeks ago. made my first couple of birdies ever this season (gotta keep planting those feathers). Next step is to break 90. Keep up the good work!
My lowest score is 89. Ive only started taking my game "seriously" this year though and this channel has really helped me play smarter and tamp the ego down. Started planning out shots to leave me 100y from the green where I can bomb my PW in the dead center almost every time now. Putting on the other hand...shits hard lol
Great content, ive hit 4 rounds 95 and 96 in a row having not been able to break 100 for over a year since following the channel. Funny thing is they are my best scores, but i haven't played very well; but i have been mentally rock solid. I hope i can follow B dog style to sub 90 soon!
I was always frustrated with my driver knowing that it was holding me back, losing 3-4 balls a round off the tee. I finally took your advice and went and got driver lessons and I can proudly say I shot my first level par 72 round from 6500 yards! I would highly suggest getting some lessons, it can make more of a difference than you think!
I shot my first 89 this season!! All thanks to this channel. Since then I was actually able to shoot an 84. I do have a lucky chip in eagle to thank for that. My ball bounced off of my mates ball and went straight in the cup. Lol.
Danny, the concept of playing in circles is a good one to free up my swing. Bubba Watson plans every shot to curve tremendously. Incorporating that is liberating from trying to hit straight. If I want it to arc, then I can take a serious full swing. Thanks.
My lowest score was a 79 but I needed a hole-in-one to earn it! :) I didn't even see the ball go in the hole, it was a thinly hit 6-iron "stinger" dead at the pin that I assumed rolled far past the hole and off the green. When I got to the green I grabbed all my wedges and my putter out of the bag only to have the ball barely catch my eye in the cup as I walked past it towards the deep rough behind the green. - The only time I have broken 80 ...SO FAR! Hole was playing about 165 from the white tees that day.
Golf Sidekick Thanks man. Started watching you after last season ended. I’m in northern Canada where there’s 5 to 6 months of snow. I feel like I might be able to break 80 again using your mindset and hopefully getting in more rounds this year. It’s been a slow start to the season with the Covid for me.
64 every single round consistently..... on the front 9 from the ladies tee
I hear ya
Shot 89 on a new course yesterday and I feel a lot of it was due to this channel. Grew a birdski and had a blast!

Same for me. I’m a bad player, but I am a decently long hitter... so par 5 being 5 isn’t ridiculous for me.
I agree with both these comments. I have more trouble with par 3's than 5's. A par 5 becomes a very short par 3 most of the time if you hit long.

Still working on breaking 100 but love your videos, thank you!!!
Lowest score is an 80, felt like I won a major lol!
70 here - same feeling
Shit, I hit a 92 and I thought I should at least win a free round
Started with two triples today, then came back with 12 bogeys, 2 pars, and 2 birds to break 90 for the first time. GS videos helping my game a ton
Tried to apply some of this to my round today. Didn’t work on bringing my score down because I still strike very inconsistently but the mentality of it really helped.
What an improvement over a year for BDOG. His attitude is beautiful and his game has great days ahead
Thanks!
What an awesome ending. We’re all just out here trying to get better at the greatest game ever played. Congrats B Dog.
You are all wearing my shirt! A Father’s Day present from the fam. 🤗. Love it! Waddaplaya.
92, and finally getting some instructions that I can relate to and helping me understand the swing vs having every cliché thrown at me and making me play worse
Dang it! I found myself smiling at the end like I just broke 90. It was awesome seeing B-Dog crush it.
16:45 that's the real fighting spirit guys, enjoy ur life with the same attitude, you will be the BAUSE
My lowest score is 70 on a par 68 course. The next day I shot 10 over. I am not consistent, but I feel this channel has helped a lot.
Golf sidekick, shot my personal best 80 yesterday, couldnt have done it without you!
had the chance to break 80 but 3 putted on 18. after work im pucking up that metal yardstick!
Good to see B-Dog playing better!! Nice video Matt!!
My favourite video you’ve ever made. Waddaplayer B Dog!
Great job, B-Dog. Never give up. My best score was a 78. It's been awhile, but trying to get the scores lower.
I shot 96 and then 100 back to back this year. First time breaking or matching 100 probably ever in my life, I owe a lot of it to this channel for changing my mentality (technique still work in progress lol).
Thanks playa. I assume by ‘a lot’, you mean ‘all’ 😂
I love the positivity in these vlogs. Wadda Playa, wadda great 4-ball.Brilliant stuff.
76 twice October last year and June this year. Matt , love these videos! keep them coming!
My low is a 77. I'll never forget that day! These videos remind me to chill out on the course. Great advice!
Finally broke 100, 3 times in a row thanks to this channel. On to 90!
Shot an 89 last year and am floating around 95 this year. I may need a lesson coming up here. Great videos!
Another great, informative video 👍🏻 shot 75 today with two 300 yard drives with a lot of thanks to your videos
i love how supportive you are bro
Fair play. I have been playing golf for just coming up to 2 years, I hit a 90 with an 8 on the scorecard. It ain't over, til it's over.
I have been playing for only one month and about to break 100....I have made 3 rounds in a row of 100 ...really like your way of the playa!
Awesome bunker shot on 7 B Dog.
My favorite new saying
Aiming for the rainbow.
Shot my lowest every today 90 even!! I was so close! I’m learning the ways of the playa. Love it man
Shot a 59 with 2 triple bogies on the card...I love mini golf!
Anybody else find themselves on the golf course trying to imitate his accent? What an insane Bause!! I've also adopted the planting feathers thing he does.
Great comment about setting up for a 100 yard shot into the green. B-dog owns that yardage.
These are my favorite videos that you make, please keep them coming!
Thanks for the vids guys! Broke 100 for first time a couple of weeks ago. made my first couple of birdies ever this season (gotta keep planting those feathers). Next step is to break 90. Keep up the good work!
Very happy for you B Dog!!
Oh man ,,,I was looking forward to seeing B Dog's pre match warm up. If i remember correctly it sounds like it would be awesome to watch.
Great round! Congratulations.
Just put up my first 43 on my home 9. Feels so great. 😎🤙🏼
86 started playing again after my daughter was born, trying to break 90 and using this bogey golf Strategy. Not there yet but will keep at it
Great content, ive hit 4 rounds 95 and 96 in a row having not been able to break 100 for over a year since following the channel.
I have the same issue. Getting off the tee with a driver is a 50/50 shot. The recovery shot send things down hill.
I shot my first 89 this season!! All thanks to this channel. Since then I was actually able to shoot an 84. I do have a lucky chip in eagle to thank for that. My ball bounced off of my mates ball and went straight in the cup. Lol.
My lowest score to par is -4, 68!! Consistently shooting your handicap is very difficult!
Good score! Haven't shot under par yet, but got very close with a couple of 72's recently
I didn't even see the ball go in the hole, it was a thinly hit 6-iron "stinger" dead at the pin that I assumed rolled far past the hole and off the green. When I got to the green I grabbed all my wedges and my putter out of the bag only to have the ball barely catch my eye in the cup as I walked past it towards the deep rough behind the green. - The only time I have broken 80 ...SO FAR! Hole was playing about 165 from the white tees that day.
Break 80 only one time WITH a hole in one!!? Thats baus
74 with my best friend and he shot 88 his best. We play golf every week together and it was the best day on the course by par!
Great round B. I hope to break 90 one day soon.
