Looks yummy. In the fall put a bunch of manure on top of your rhubarb plant. The winter rains will fertilize it and it will grow huge next spring. I have done both cow and horse and it works very well.
never heard of Rhubarb butter before, at home we usualy make Strawberry and Rhubarb jam or Rhubarb Swiss tart (waehe). Awesome channel keep them videos comin'
I'd never heard of it before, but came across it when i was searching for new rhubarb recipes. I'll definitely be making it again. Thanks for watching!
You will enjoy the rhubarb butter. Melissa Norris also has a recipe for sourdough pancakes on that link and they are equally as delicious. I like that it uses 2 cups of sourdough discard. It's a great way to use it up and they are seriously the best waffles and pancakes I've ever tasted.
Love your channel! I can’t wait to try this rhubarb butter! Can you please post a link to the French Onion Soup to can? I have a Ball canning book, but must not have the correct version. Many thanks!
Thanks for the kind words. The rhubarb butter is very yummy. Here is a link to the French Onion Soup. www.canningandcookingiastyle.com/recipe/french-onion-soup-for-canning/
Rhubarb butter sounds delicious. I did 4 recipes on my channel last weekish. I am trying to find some Rhubarb seeds or how ever they grow. You could probably use this in the Rhubarb rolls I did.
I'll check out those recipes. I've only ever started rhubarb from divisions of another rhubarb plant. They can easily be divided. The rhubarb butter is absolutely delicious!
I have two Ball canning books and can't find a recipe for canning French Onion Soup. I found one for frozen onion soup and I'm wondering if you would share your process for making the canned onion soup?!?!????
Here's a link to the recipe: www.canningandcookingiastyle.com/recipe/french-onion-soup-for-canning/ It's in the All New Ball Book of Canning & Preserving. The soup is REALLY yummy!
I have one, but it must not be a very good one. It just doesn't do a good job. That would be easier than going back and forth from pan to blender and back to pan. It might be time to invest in a better one???
I couldn't find an approved Ball recipe, but rhubarb is fairly acidic and with the added lemon juice, I feel comfortable canning it like other jams/butters.... 10 minutes in a water bath canner with 1/4 inch head space.
I always think of dessert before dinner. Glad it's not just me.😂
Thanks for letting me know that I'm not the only one who does that. 😁😁😁
My mom puts the leaves right there to compost..it's been growing there since the 70s when we moved there 😊
That's a great use for them. 🙂

That's a GREAT idea. I'll definitely do that this fall. Thanks for the tip!
Sour dough waffles are the best!
That is SOOO true!

Thank you for posting. I can't wait to try this. Going to check out the sourdough waffles as well.

Try making rhubarb bbq sauce.....delicious! Becky at Acre Homestead has an awesome recipe! Love your videos BTW 😊
I'll definitely check that out. I'm hoping to experiment with a bunch of different BBQ sauces this year. Thanks for the tip and thanks for watching!

Oh. Pennsylvania. I have been watching your channel for a while now but could never figure out where you are from. Good morning from southern Oregon.
Hello Southern Oregan. Yes, we are in Sout-Central Pennsylvania. Thanks for watching!
The white heel is the best part of the rhubarb... The acid (the poison) is in the green parts
All of the white, fleshy part is pretty yummy. I was always under the impression that it was just the leaves that were toxic???
Try putting some strawberries in it. My mom called it, "Heavenly Hash".
Yum! I'm gonna have to try that. Thanks for the tip.

You might want to investigate an immersion blender to blend right in the pot.
I have one, but it must not be a very good one. It just doesn't do a good job. That would be easier than going back and forth from pan to blender and back to pan. It might be time to invest in a better one???
I would love to can it do you know instructions?

You can tell she does all the work,😂
Haha.....
