Fixing the Cleetus Cart Episode 3, Final Crash Repairs and Sending it at the Freedom Factory!!

- A wrap up video of the work that we did on Cleetus McFarland's golf cart after the Build Wars crash. We finished the roll cage, added much better braking, fixed the wheelie bars and perfected the weight setup for doing near endless wheelies, lol. In this video we get Cleetus' reaction as we deliver the cart back to him and then rip it around the Freedom Factory track for the reveal video.
Watching older videos at the Freedom Factory is a great reminder of how far it has come in such a short time!

Note to self, turning the steering wheel with the front wheels in the air, doesn't work! Great job fixing the cart.
That's what makes it flip also because when it lands down at speed one of the front tires dig in and flip it

lol, I know right? that's what got the cart into his shop, it was the cause of the rollover
just needs some weights in the front so at low rpm the front will stay down
This thing needs a marker on the steering wheel so you know the wheels are straight after wheelies
Or just not turn it like a goofus when I know the tires are two feet off of the ground.....lol
Needs a hole so you can see the tire

Nice video and great fab work. Watching brings back memories. About 15 yrs ago I used to work next to Automotive Super Sports. It was a small shop that moved named Mends and Blends.
Its insane how i felt the moment Cleetus picked the camera the image got brighter and the sound clearer xD

You should use the front end off an ATV on it so you can have front brakes which would also give the option of a line lock so you can do a burnout with it.
it was considered, I just didnt have the time to reengineer everything.
@@KSRPerformanceFabrication They make go-kart style hydraulic front disc brake kits that will bolt up on the stock front axle. Should come with new spindles as well.
They do, but it required a wheel change as well.
@@KSRPerformanceFabrication There's nothing difficult about a wheel change X specially for safety factor
You may want to load the steering wheel to return to straight/middle when you let go of the wheel.
great job with the mods you really do go full send when fabing, your camera skills will get better I saw what I needed that missing bolt lol

It needs a mercury switch that locks the steering when in wheelie mode.
Nacho Slave Maybe, but that would be scary on another level if there is any failure in that system, given the speed that cart is capable of. You want to have as few points of failure as possible. They could do a lock to lock meter similar to a LED rev limiter except starting in the middle. 😇
A momentary button on the wheel to lock it would be much safer

Kevin steering when the front wheels are in the air is the funniest thing I have seen for weeks. If you watch BoostedBoz Kyle video after he crashed his he put it down to not having the front wheels straight when they came down and hit the ground, great job Kevin.
I wanted the wheel turned a little when it landed the front because that is when it would turn the most with the weight on the back, but I turned it way too much, lol.
He keeps turning in the air. I thought for sure it was going to roll over again when it landed on the bank. Stoked to see this back up and running though. Makes me wanna build one.
Kevin doesn't do things half-fast. He does them fully fast!

cool upgrade would be limited slip diff some ATV's have that with twin back brakes left and right to steer it while front end in air lol .. your not hopefully travelling to fast to do that hehe

Can't wait for some of those Dale Truck videos so I can glean some info on how to work on my Winston Cup car! No pressure, I know creating videos is a lot of work, especially with kids and a day job. :)

Thanks! Itll get there one day. We do everything at my shop too. Complete car builds, Holley EFI installs, Turbo, Nitrous or Supercharger installs, roll cages, chasdis setup, etc
OMG, I forgot how bad the track looked when they first got it. Great job on the cart repairs man. Shame there can't be independent rear wheel brakes for directional control in the wheelie. But I know it would have to be an open diff for that.
That thing needs a open diff and put in a L&R Wellie brake levers to steer that monster in the wheelie
would be a task to convert it from solid axle and its not driven by a drive shaft. also the amount of work into a dual caliper set up.

Have you guys looked into adding the front spindles/brakes from a shifter go-cart? It would also widen the front track... making it more stable at high speeds.

what you need is 2 separate paddle brakes for l and r rear tires so you can steer it like a skid steer

It was funny watching you try to steer that thing when the wheels were in the air and the worst thing possible you could do. That's how you flip over when the front end comes down.

When Cleetus grabbed the camera the video went straight HD 4k instead of the normal 1080p! 💪🤣👍
