Junkyard dog challenge. You both start with the same motor and transmission, but everything else has to be sourced from the junkyard. Gnarliest ride wins.

Good idea
both teams would be given a small budget the only basic restraint would be the platform would have to be a car. Then both teams would go out and buy a cheap car maybe off craigslist or whatever and they could mod it with the rest of their budget to do various challenges maybe make it easily drift-able or race around an actual track or whatever really... that way it wouldn’t be all about power and teams could focus on making their cars handle better or drift better or whatever suits the challenges!
Definitely sounds cool, maybe source a shell, then junkyard/budget everything else :)
Or a reverse battle for the sketchy factor
Build an underwater bogging machine for the pond, find a 15ft deep pond and first team across the bottom wins

Outside the box build off: convert a vehicle so it takes two people to operate it. One gets throttle and brake (clutch too if ambitious), the other one steers and gets hand brake. Then race them through an obstacle course; slalom, parallel parking, j turn, etc. Drifting or gymkhana would also be very entertaining.

A guy I know actually did that. Used an early 80's Kawi 750. Took him 2 years. Half reclined position. When he got to 70-80 mph he lost it. Broke both his hips, a bunch of fingers and a collarbone when it landed on him as they both bounced and rolled down the hwy. The chair was a write off. lol This was back when internet and cameraphones were not quite on the scene.

BB have an amercian shell (vette crown vic etc) but can only use honda parts (engine gear boxes etc) Team cleet have a civic/integra (some kind of import) but can only use parts from domestic cars be it an LS in a civic. LUL

This, this, and more this. Imagine a clapped out Jeep Cherokee vs something like a Nissan hardbody that has rust holes the size of Nebraska in it. Homemade lift kits, sawzall'd fenders, glass removed, big tires and some signature touches, like an ebay turbo for the boiz and a nitrous kit or LS swap for the mcfab side (though I doubt an LS swap would happen in 5 days while trying to source parts on the fly).

Build off: just straight up junkyard scavenge edition. Everything put on has to come from a salvage or junkyard. Come up with goals that the machine needs to do and have full freedom in making machines to do the goals.

You stole my idea before I thought of it...
Making them dip into each others world would be nice but I feel like LS engines are just as cheap and resourceful as Honda motors and it’s a bit of a disadvantage if power to weight isn’t part of the challenge.

Do lawnmowers for the next build-off! Has too look like a mower, and be capable of conversion for mowing within say 30 minutes. I think it would be a fun and doable build-off and probably more easy to keep them stable lol

Hopefully this get's seen.. Now Cleetus, I know you're a man of the ground. Drag cars, drifting, boggin, etc. The boat idea stuck with me. Now I'm a marine man myself, and I'm sure I'm not the only one that would love to see a race take place on water. Challenges could be circuit race, drag race, bumper boats, etc.. the possibilities are endless as you said , but on water. Love the channel, do it for dale!

Build idea #1: Four wheel drift/drag motorcycle, start with the same motorcycle and give it four wheels with the purpose of drag racing or drifting while keeping the motorcycle’s frame
Idea #2: Monster power wheels, build a MASSIVE version (Regular car size or above) of a decided upon power wheels car, one that can go the fastest, do the best wheelies, and bog deepest wins
I’d personally like to see a road course build off. Maybe use miatas or something of the like with a small budget, then do a tag team 24 hours of lemons style setup with changing drivers.

I think for one of the build wars the teams should SWITCH comfort zones: Team Cleetus does a turbo 4 cyl. Honda build, and Team Boosted Boiz does some kind of LS build. They could compete for WHP, 1/4 mile times, and budget. The cars would likely be different but it could be even more fun if they were the same!

Since you did an on-road challenge this year, maybe an off-road. An amphibious car! AKA boat-car, has to traverse a lake or pod, then do a burnout, and drag race!
Airboats sound good too, very little danger, lots of fun. Also, for more daring feats... Mud-rail! Mud-bogger! Mud-drag-racing. AKA hill climber, rock climber, or mud-bogging ATVs.
That way after the Cleetus and Cars, you and the Bois can maybe take them out into the sand dunes in Colorado
