This car is capable of running 9's all day in the quarter mile. Ive seen it do 0-60 in 2.4 secs with an upgraded turbo. And if you do an aftermarket exhuast on it, it will sound like a v10 lambo. LITERALLY! This Audi 5 cylinder engine is legendary
Is there any youtubers that have built it ?

That's where he saw the car on UA-cam. There is a video you can find
Which aftermarket exhaust are you talking about lol
16:17 you can make the screen go away. There is a button right in the center console controls to the right of the hazard lights which manually raises and lowers the screen so you can completely hide it. This is especially useful at night to darken the cabin and clean everything up. Audi really went over the top with the interior in these little beasts. I love my stage 2 S3
ROXXEMBOXXEM what year is your s3? I had a 2016 and yeah the button lowered the screen, but then I went back down to a 2019 a3 and that button just turned it off...don’t know if it’s something they changed with the newer ones...either way I just got a new S5 coupe, so fuck it lol...I do miss my s3 though...I had got it brand spankin new...
@@MrRobert12882 mine is a 2016. And really it just turns it off now? That's pretty lame. I guess 2017 will be my magic rs3 year to look for since they definitely still have that feature
Thanks for delving into the history and not just doing a soulless review. You are appreciated sir.
Just noticed the seat backs look like a cobra. Very surprised Ford didn't think of this for the Shelby Mustangs.
Thanks for saying that! Very good eye!
Here's a more recent comment about our 2019 Audi RS 3, now at 42,217 miles of
which 30,396 miles have been fast country back road runs. Tires & wheels were
the first to be changed, with Neuspeed RSe10 18x8.5 inch wheels and Michelin
245/40/18 A/S3+ tires replacing the stock RS 3 wheels/tires which were SUMMER
ONLY! And these 235/35/19 tires DID NOT SURVIVE our first country back roads
run, which suffered punctures due to tiny sidewall height! So all wheels/tires had
to be changed.
No issues at all with the Audi to date since. It has had some pretty tough use, given
our Virginla country back roads that have not been maintained as well as they used
to be 20 years ago when we started making such runs in our BMW 5-series, also
fitted with 18-inch tires/wheels. Our Audi has been a major pleasure to drive on such
roads and delivers the performance we've come to expect from such automobiles.
A truly remarkable performance automobile indeed, when pushed hard and fast. But
now soon to be 83 years old, this may be my last HIGH PERFORMANCE automobile
and the end of my 64 years of fast and competition automobile driving!
My BMW website can be seen here at www.mye28.com/tech/rods_pages/

My son has an S4. There’s an acquaintance who autocrosses an RS3. An amazing vehicle. For a properly optioned car Audi amazes with the detail they put in there cars. Great review Joe.
That front end is so mean. Love it. Also the zonks are certainly accurate. Great review, joe!!!
Thank you for saying that! I really loved this car!
Joe I love how you do your homework for the brand you present. I would never know that 4 circle logo. Great job!
I'll take that Audi rs3 over the new supra anyday lol
And you have more space.
Ill take one of each, both with a manual transmission.
No brainer. 5 seats vs 2 seats.
@@Tigerex966 which neither have unfortunately

To me the S3/RS3 platform is just the right size, reminds me so much of the B5 S4.
The RS3 is, currently, my attainable dream car. Based on the title I totally thought you were going to hate it, but I'm so glad you loved it! Loving the content, Joe! Keep up the great work!
Thanks for letting me share it with you Jake!
I just bought one 1 month ago. Nardo Grey, fully loaded with everything except the ceramic brakes. I can’t stop driving it! Lol. I agree on the sound. It sounds amazing, but needs to be a little louder. Not many cars can beat this in real world driving. Raced a 18 Z06 and got it by over a car length 0-70 until it started to reel me in.
Amazing car, a true driver's machine. Great review Joe! 21 mins passed and it felt like 5 min. Keep up the good work brother!
That is so awesome of you to say! Thanks for your support!
Great videos as always. I’m actually shocked people question this car’s level of performance for the price when this car can do everything, is super unique, and runs high 11s stock. That’s insane for the price actually. It might have “only” 400 hp but it’s very very fast
A true Volkwage Golf R upgrade.
I just wish they made a limited say 500 manual examples per year, even if they are slower.
Performance is not just HP or 0 to 60 times, its the complete package. Performace is braking, all Weather all condition handling, having the traction to safely put the HP to the pavement, Steering, tires, all these factors and more contribute to a vehicle's performance. I love the Audi RS3 if I was in the market for this type of ride the RS3 would be in my garage.
I totally agree with you!
So many beautiful cars out there. As hard as you work Joe, it’s a nice reward to get to drive all these lovely machines.
You are so very right Pierre!
FINALLY!!!!!! Also Im pretty sure you can spec a sports exhaust and that upgraded digital cockpit with navigation and a bunch of others things in it. Great Review Joe
I think my 2019 RS3 sounds great inside and out. It sounds much better then my 2020 718 Porsche Spyder.
Why I like this Audi, it has "minimal tech" ( I don't like too much tech on a German car. I like the simple interior, I like how clear your were while reviewing this car really makes it a fun video to watch.
A stock turbo the size of a efr 7163. Dynos 358whp stock. Tuned puts 440whp. Stage 2 puts it near 500whp with a downpipe and turbo inlet. Awesome transmission as well. Car has been destroying super cars since 2017. I have an S3. Will be getting an RS in a couple yrs after my warranty expires.
I drove my buddies on memorial day. Pulled back into my driveway with 4 cops pulling in with me 😂 these are quick and fun and can stop on a dime. I did notice some pretty noticable turbo lag tho. Lasts at least over a second. Great car tho just too small to be fully practical. he packs up his whole dorm every summer and drives from N.C. back to Ohio which is beyond me how he can fit everything in there. Great review Joe!
Thanks for sharing your great story and input!
Great review!
This is literally the grown up version of the STI, also Subaru's AWD vs Quattro... idk tough both are superb.

FYI: that screen in the center can be retracted with a button on the center console. Also you can get this car with a sport exhaust and it sound SOO good.
Unfortunately, starting with the 2018 model year, you can no longer retract the screen at the touch of a button, only off, due to new regulations on rear cameras.
@@davisflyer What a shame, I really like that clean look with the creen retracted.
@@QuB3 Yeah, I agree. My 2015 A3 retracts and it's so much better when you don't need it up.
That's a lot of power for that little car and I like it! I am a truck guy, but do want a small sport sedan some day.
It was a ton of fun to drive!
Hey Joe. You can remove that screen by pressing the button next to the traction control button. I always do that on my rs3 as the screen can get distracting. For sure the sound in the FL rs3 is a disappointment. Wish you could review a PFL rs3. No digital dash but the cracks and pops are killer on them.
I own the 2018 RS3. Great car for the money. if the one your driving was optioned with the tech pack, which I believe it was, judging by the price, you missed the glove compartment , where it houses the CD player and 2 SD card slots for ALL of your MP3 music. The Audi infotainment system is one of the best on the market and just another great option in this great car!!
Also look at my picture
Thanks for sharing that great info! It is a very special car!
11:40 look at that dash coming apart above the hood release 🤧. But love the car!!
Good eyes!
love this thing, but I had trouble getting in and out of the driver seat at the dealership. The door and the opening felt a bit too small and awkward.
100% agree with your review, it needs more sound out of the exhaust. Everything else is awesome, I feel like a kid getting behind the wheel for the first time.
The way you thrash these around public streets is epic lol

I'm going to buy one of these in the near future.
My rear license plate will read Audi Ofcr because I expect to be pulled over often.
That is so awesome! What color are you thinking?
@@RaitisRides Not sure yet. Probably either red or blue.
I LOVE the blue on the RS3!

Nice driving! I even heard the tires chirping. 👍
I'm liking this RS3.
One pet peeve with these videos are guys scared to drive a performance car as intended. Thx man. I appreciate that! Yes, it could use some exhaust tuning.. Just a little.
That doofy screen is an eyesore. I bet it can be rigged to submerge during driving? Older Audis had that feature, if I recall?
Manual sport seats?🤔
I think I'll catch a pre-owned RS3 where the price is more "normalized" or reasonable? 👍
Love these Audi's. Keep bringing us the awesome rides Joe!
Very nice car but with the zonks you mentioned I think the price should be a little lower. The camera angle while driving looks much better! Nice job Joe!👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
Thanks Larry!
That 5 cylinder engine is amazing and sounds phenomenal!
The white looks so good! 🥰

Thanks you for that info. I pressed it but it did not drop.
Raiti's Rides ah I see. That was the only thing I saw that I could possibly correct, but great review!
Late 2018/19’s don’t go down. New European laws require to stay open during driving.

Thanks for your support! People can have their opinion. I will still keep doing what I am doing. Thanks for your support!
That's the 1st RS3 I've seen that did not have the Sport exhaust. Sport Exhaust cars have Black tips and crackles and pops like crazy on decal o overrun.
Quick Brick that’s what I thought!
yeah it doesn't have the dynamic package, which is the sports exhaust and staggered wheels with stickier pirelli rubber (which going off reports are still kinda trash). This RS3 can be turned into a legit beast pretty easily with some wide wheels w/ good rubber
Love the new intro. I don’t have to skip it now.
Thanks Dave! I thought it would be nice to have it be short and sweet!
New Intro? I Must of Missed It; Gots To Pay Moe Better Attention Next Time!
Now this is a performance car all the way mate! Best of Both worlds with this puppy 🍻🏎💨👍
I totally agree with you Warren!
And the stock motor has been tuned (and bolt ons) to over 700 Hp. While I love the 7 Series the most for styling, I think I might pick the RS3 just based on the pure performance in an unassuming package.
Thanks for your input and perspective! I really appreciate you watching!
Overpriced as hell but damn it makes a lovely noise and can smoke a lot of cars you would not think it could hang with. On my short list for next vehicle. Wish we got a wagon or hatch version here but nonetheless a pretty badass ride. Amazing what a conservative tune does for this thing. One of the few new Audis worth owning IMO.
I was looking for the TTRS convertible in nardo grey, but AUDI not bringing it to USA, only the coupe. I owned the refreshed 2016
TT base convetable for a year, which was go cart fun to drive and good looking. That RS 5 is great too.
Walt Van Court stay tuned for the RS 5 review!
Great review! Loved how you doubled back through the roundabouts, really enjoying the car.
Does it understeer more then the Focus RS? How does it compare to your old RS? The ride must be softer, no?
I ask because I own a MY18' RS and may possibly upgrade to an RS3 at some point.
On a side note, in the 2018 model RS3 the center screen could be lowered while driving. New safety specifications requiring the back up camera to turn on in a fixed amount of time forced Audi to remove the option to lower the screen in MY19'.
Thanks Steve! Not at all! She was on the money!
I love my RS3. It’s a fun car to drive.
The RS7 is the car for me. Idc about the "outdated" infotainment center. Still looks nice in my opinion. Most beautiful car I've ever seen. Keep the good work man👌🏽
Great review, nice to see your channel growing. Do you know if and when Audi will finally make an RS5 convertible?
I really appreciate you saying that! I don't think that Audi has plans for that at all.
The only two things I like about this car are the front and the 5 Cylinder Turbo
We need a review on the 2019 AMG C43 ! The Audi RS3 main competitor
Lets get that soon bruh ! Much love and continued blessings
So much want. Waiting for these to be all over the used market too pick one up. The S models use the gloss black. APR is getting crazy numbers out of these and 1/4 mile times. Guys are implanting these seats in Golfs.
I totally agree with you!
which one would you buy if it is your own money between 2019 Audi RS3 or 2019 Genesis G70 3.3t sport
I would probably save the cash and get the Genesis!
If it was just me I would get the rs3!
I've driven both. The Genesis is a nice car, but definitely aimed more towards luxury. The RS3 is way more fun to drive and much quicker! Oh, and the G70 has even less knee room in the back seat.
Great job Joe 👍 and good luck to big guns in the meet! Man, I know you were having a blast driving it. Hell of a performer
Laszlo Boocz thanks! This thing was a beast!
I like how sharp the lines are.

Looks great on outside although grille black plastic could be less tall (can see closed off section). Interior too blah, red trim rings look gimmicky. A completely digi cockpit? How long will it last for a 63,000 car? What's with the logo blocking the dash?
I totally agree with you Pat. I'm covering my tracks so to speak.
@@RaitisRides I guess so, but when you did the explorer you said too much black, not on the Audi. That hurts your credibility a bit.
I love the interior. The red rings in person are awesome. They are a translucent red. Dash will be easy to fix. Not much to it. Audi and Lamborghini use a similar digital cluster. Powered by Intel.
Really nice fast car that is a cop's dream machine to aim laser/radar at! It seems quiet to you Joe because you are used to your Subaru! Love the sound of the Boxer rumble!
Thanks Robert for letting me share it with you!
The 2019 model is quieter because of that annoying OPM-filter.
This RS3 doesn’t have sport exhaust.
I have 35k on mine and drive it fast always. Cops never bother me. Knock on woood. Some really close calls though.
I was thinking RS stood for Rally Sport. Audi to me look like they would have used Rally than Racing. I say that because Audi give me a fun car vibe. Rally screams fun and letting it all hang out. Racing suggest by the book so technical. So I'm shook Audi RS is Racing Sport. Audi gets a Zonk from me for that.
RS is Rally Sport with Ford.
@@RaitisRides tell Audi to take notes. Ford is not only built tough. They know the spirit of Rally in their racing. Thanks! Joe.
There used to be a button right near the hazard button that would make the center infotainment screen fold down into the dash? Joe I am wondering was this one optioned with the sport exhaust? Because I’ve heard other RS3’s with that option installed and they sounded amazing, this one was very quiet. Maybe that’s why. Wish we could get the hatchback version like they have in Europe!

STitanium Rumble stay tuned!
Superb quality at a decent price! Great review! Do they have homelink on this model?
The screen can pop into the dash with a button above the ac nxt to the hazard switch
Reason why it doesn’t sound good is because your tester has the standard exhaust. Second the 2019 comes with OPF filter in the exhaust. I have my18 and it sounds louder and pops and bangs are apparent. Just fyi
Very good car, very good sound. BMW, learn from this please. By the way, you don't need to use the manual shifter mode. The automatic Sport mode in "dynamic" is super-fast and super-aggressive when you floor it , faster than your mind. The pops and bangs only come when you use the automatic Sport mode.
Thanks for sharing that great info!
Manual mode is a whole different driving experience. You keep it in the power band. Auto sport mode is a little too tame.
35k on mine and I always manually shift it. The only way to drive it.
@@ryanb8736 Sport mode revs as far as manual mode. That is, Sport mode's shift points are right on the red line when you floor it. That S-tronic is a very smart system. It knows when you want to maximise your rev or not, and hold it in the correct power band. Additional cumbersome tasks for manual mode are to keep an eye on the dashboard in order to know which gear you are currently in and to not forget to shift at red line all the time. But anyway, this is down to personal liking. I drive in manual mode occasionally as well and find it is redundant.
khvidtube1617 I just like to keep my RpM above 3000. Sport auto likes to keep it under that.
In first gear it will shift automatically into second at full throttle. You just have to shift 3/4/5. Like you said. It’s all personal preference. 👍
Beautiful car! One of these days, you are going to see those flashing gumballs!
Chris we were on a road where they are just now starting to build homes. The only vehicles were construction workers. I know it may not look like I am being careful but I scout out every area and try to be a smart as I can.

I'm Curious; Which One? The Supra for $57,000 or The RS For $63,000
Would it give your Scooby a run for its money joe? Or quicker?
It is quicker for sure!
All Formula1 drivers are instructed NOT to throw down the steering wheel, in a fit of excitement, after a race. Those steering wheels cost over 40K.
You are so very right!
"Stop you on a dime, and give you some change" Brilliant!!!
Thanks, Joe! I may get one of these used in a few years.

I want this so bad!!😍🔥
I have a RS3, I don't think yours came with sport exhaust for starters as the tips were chrome. Plus your calipers were black. My RS3 ( 2018) sounds amazing, it pops, gurgles and everything at start. Yours did not do it, that car was optioned weird. The 2018's also allowed you to lower the screen with a button, that was removed in 2019 for some new DOT regulation.
Joe,,, Push the round button down on the right of the centre console and, Voila!!!! Screen Down 😎. You need to play with EVERYTHING to see what it does.
Write that down...
Got your response... Didn’t work?! Then the year you have has the switch on the far right, below the 3rd vent from the drivers side
Btw ... I appreciated some of Audi’s History you mentioned.

Thanks for the heads up Carlos! I pushed it and it did not drop.
Holy Crow!! How do you not get pulled over by our public servants in blue. Does someone scout for you. Triple digits
you can make the screen go down with the button on the far right under the AC holes
Just test drove this last night. I thought it was a little slow on throttle response which I found annoying. Plus losing Google Earth after 2021 is really a blow to the virtual cockpit
I could feel your pain!
Was that car equipped with the sport exhaust? Plus, the RS3 with the APR Stage 3 package is amazing😀
Stage 3 puts you in the 9’s.
Where’s the pop and crackle from the exhaust that we get from the rs3 and s3 in Australia?
It sounds so lame without it!
Thank you for sharing your input and perspective! I really appreciate you watching!
To get the best sound you really need the optional Sports Exhaust (well it’s optional over here in UK), noted by the black exhaust tips. It really makes the car come alive. I presume you can get the option in the US too?
i don't think you can go wrong with the German. i was secretly hoping for a drift around the circle Joe, instead of straightening out. i know, i know, i know, thats a bad hope right there and it deserves a zonk lol. in the end it is a nice whip, tho a little small for my height and too big for my pocket lolol. thanks Joe!
There is a button on the centre console above the A/c controls, this makes MMI screen disappear
Can you or have you done any S3 2019 / 2020, I am thinking of dropping a CLASS and a few HP from my GLA AMG 45 @ 375hp to a more respectable 300 and the S3.....as the RS3 is where I have been and don't want to have all that fun always? let me know...... I do have the POPS and cracks and BOOMS..... fun.... my interior is amazing too! but.... variety is the SPICE of LIFE.....
Thank you for sharing your input and perspective! I really appreciate you watching!
It looks like the most beautiful Vanilla Cake I've ever seen..T.

My guess is that car did not have the sport exhaust option on it which is why it was quiet.
