The inline 5 turbo is what put Audi on the performance map. The original Group B Audi Quattros were I5-Turbos as well as the S2 and RS2 from the early 90s. The I5 Turbos in the RS3 and RSTT are a throwback to their performance/rally roots

When I worked at an Audi dealership, the additional airbags were considered a potential hazard to small children sitting in the back. So they became an option for those who mostly had adult passengers.

I had the A3 Limousine (Sedan) with full S-Line pack although with a much more modest 2.0 TDI Diesel engine. Loved the shape, the seats and the interior quality and design.

Pulling a back on the shifter is one of the best features of VW/Audi. Car reviews often gloss over it, so props for noticing! I flip between Sport and Custom every trip I take it's so seemless. Also, it will go from manual back to auto by pulling back if you engaged manual from the paddle shifters.
This is the best designed sedan in it's class. They're right in pointing out the lines and all. It all works. This is the best looking sedan for the compact/intermediate class I've seen since e46 Bimmer.
Great review! You really nailed what makes this car so overall great&special and how much fun it is to drive but you also mentioned what actually annoys me e v e r y time I'm driving mine (e.g. the shift pedals really do feel cheap or the too short exhaust tips...).

There is a bunch of them here in Europe, however we don’t get a single Chevrolet ford or mustang besides entry level model which are already insanely expensive looking over here. I do prefer German cars tho, but never really tried old school mustangs either haha
Ton Pac you are going to love old school. Here in America, there are classic car shows with many old corvettes, mustangs, camaros, Dodge challengers and etc. But it is beyond rare seeing an RS3 here
Doses Of Cars I see them in a lot of shows, they look huge and loud hahaha but I love them, I like the mustang and Chevy from 67, amaaazing cars. I go to Argentina often and they have a lot of them wandering the streets, almost all like ruins but sometimes you can see one in a perfect state and they are beautiful tho.
I had an A3 for a little while. Even with its base 220hp, its was startlingly quick. Can’t imagine how much fun this would be with nearly double that haha.
I got myself an RS3 and it's absolutely amazing, the quattro system with the 5 cylinder just works perfectly every time I set off at the traffic light or try to take over someone just pull like a train

Good jobs lads - as per the usual.. I had the pleasure to drive all of Audi's RS lineup last year during their Audi Sport Tour, and I have to say: the TT RS was the most fun to drive (same engine as RS3, but it felt much better and more refined).. Then there was the RS7: that thing is a Boeing jet on wheels, that was just something else...

Awesome engine. Good looking car (though I would prefer a hatch). Nice interior. The engine is worth the price of admission alone, an aftermarket tune away from supercar-level performance. Too bad you can't a manual. I do wonder what would make it "handle better" than a Golf R as the cars would seem to be so similar mechanically aside from the engine. What aspect of the handling is better?
I daily a 2018 TTRS in this exact color. I bought it over the RS3 primarily because it IS a hatchback and I really didn't need a backseat that could fit actual humans. The RS3 and TTRS with this 5 cylinder sound like nothing else on the road and always turn heads. Great review, guys!

Great review as always with you guys obviously having fun! When thinking of 5-cylinder cars, don't sleep on the Acura Vigor (not sure if you got that in Canada). My second car ever was a 1993 Acura Vigor GS - white over black leather, 5-speed manual, 176-hp 2.5L inline-5. Sweet little alternative to the Legend :)
@@timbardam5878 I did a muffle delete and replaced the mid pipe with ones that don’t have secondary catalytic converters. It sounds even better than before. No drone.
I think its the hot hatch king even though it is a sedan. I've seen one in the area I live in 2018 Gray and it looks so good. What a cool car but it should come with power seats.

Alex Brownshe great spec & color choice. That's the ultimate stealth saloon right there. I used to say that the Audi S3 & RS3 are for guys who've grown out of the Evo/Impreza phase of their lives but want a luxurious sedan that still kicks ass when you pin the throttle.
Iceberg 47 exactly! I’ve done the Jetta TDI, GTI, Q3, and I needed a rush bad. The dealer could only find all those options with carbon fibre so it has that too! Bang on ya
Nice vid guys, I just pre-ordered a Remus resonated cat-back, already have a set of CTS mid pipes, intake and ASR exhaust controller with operating button on center strip multicluster using the park assist button. Blue is very nice but I opted for the Panther Black. Personally i like the lines of the sedan better, but function of the SB is better just my opinion though.

They’ve had 5 cylinders since audis were still only 2wd lol. Audis whole thing through the 80’s and 90’s was small sedans with 5 Zylinders

I haven’t seen a single RS3 in my life. But I have seen so many BMW M cars. Meaning that the RS3 is so unique and rare.

No hatch for America. So I saved $20k and bought a slightly used KIA Forte5 SX. $16k with only 4,000 miles on it.

I just bought my S3 and it is AMAZING. Not an RS, obviously, but still the best car I've ever owned. Maybe I'll trade up for the RS in a couple years!

Awesome engine. Good looking car (though I would prefer a hatch). Nice interior. The engine is worth the price of admission alone, an aftermarket tune away from supercar-level performance. Too bad you can't a manual. I do wonder what would make it "handle better" than a Golf R as the cars would seem to be so similar mechanically aside from the engine. What aspect of the handling is better?

I daily a 2018 TTRS in this exact color. I bought it over the RS3 primarily because it IS a hatchback and I really didn't need a backseat that could fit actual humans. The RS3 and TTRS with this 5 cylinder sound like nothing else on the road and always turn heads. Great review, guys!

BlackPhoenix1804 it’s called “ara blue” nice colour but “sepang blue” from the pre face lift was nicer and probably the nicest colour ever available on an rs3
I ordered mine in the exclusive Nogaro Blue.

Great review as always with you guys obviously having fun! When thinking of 5-cylinder cars, don't sleep on the Acura Vigor (not sure if you got that in Canada). My second car ever was a 1993 Acura Vigor GS - white over black leather, 5-speed manual, 176-hp 2.5L inline-5. Sweet little alternative to the Legend :)

@@timbardam5878 I did a muffle delete and replaced the mid pipe with ones that don’t have secondary catalytic converters. It sounds even better than before. No drone.

I think its the hot hatch king even though it is a sedan. I've seen one in the area I live in 2018 Gray and it looks so good. What a cool car but it should come with power seats.
They had one in 2018 grey but we opted for this one instead

You can have power seats, it's just the sport seats that are only manual because of weight

Alex Brownshe great spec & color choice. That's the ultimate stealth saloon right there. I used to say that the Audi S3 & RS3 are for guys who've grown out of the Evo/Impreza phase of their lives but want a luxurious sedan that still kicks ass when you pin the throttle.
Iceberg 47 exactly! I’ve done the Jetta TDI, GTI, Q3, and I needed a rush bad. The dealer could only find all those options with carbon fibre so it has that too!

Nice vid guys, I just pre-ordered a Remus resonated cat-back, already have a set of CTS mid pipes, intake and ASR exhaust controller with operating button on center strip multicluster using the park assist button. Blue is very nice but I opted for the Panther Black. Personally i like the lines of the sedan better, but function of the SB is better just my opinion though.
