Why are the Technical Directors incapable of sticking with the on board shot for an entire lap. They always go to another shot, and usually right before an awesome corner or section.
I feel like it might've been an issue with the camera range. Sometimes, I think the cameras cut out through that off-camber right (I don't remember the name of the corner)
Yep, that is number one complaint of mine as well, just when you need to see every detail of drive line taken, braking points hit before turn, run off points legal, but what's really painful, PS4 GTSports have not acquired this track yet, vs PS3 GT6, where I was on this track for hours a day in Lemans cars like R18's. Man I miss this track for the intense learning curve at these speeds always on the edge. From members I race with in this class, they mentioned that the rights to these tracks cost Sony, etc over a million$. Kinda blows your mind if true. Then it's noticed on other consoles, that they have these tracks missing from GTSports. Drives one crazy. Cheers

This is the only sport that puts me in awe. I just can't conceive how those guys drive like that. I know it's part talent, part experience and a lot of nerve but sometimes it almost seems mystical. They are all good if they are sitting in a F1 car but the really great ones make it seem like magic and it's a pleasure to watch.

They obviously forgot about Vettel's (record) lap from 2009, not a single mistake, no even minor corrections.

That's just insane how late the braking points are and how quick the turn-ins are and then how much speed is carried before it's back on the peddle! I really get the impression there's no room for error; the slightest mistake = hitting something hard very fast. Add to all of this the need to hold your breath on every fast corner because of the G forces pushing your lungs into the side of the seat having just had all the wind punched out of them after the braking. It's controlled madness after an energy drink.
Couldn't agree more. F1 should not be about large auto companies trying to vet technology for road cars. When was the last time you saw a regular road car with carbon brake discs or slicks?. I guess that means F1 should go back to iron discs?. F1 should be about exciting racing. Not cars that are so complicated that multiple drivers in one race can't figure out what setting on the steering wheel they need to use in order to get the car running at top speed. No wonder ratings keep diving.
S AA trail braking - you keep on the brakes after turning into the corner to keep weight over the nose of the car, reducing understeer. The front aero also obviously adds additional weight on the nose.

What I love most about those F-1 cars is that for some reason, the speed at which they take corners sync up perfectly at the speed at which someone processes visual memories. Awesome.

But just remember that this is one lap try driving for 60 laps over 2 hours that takes great determination and skill that's why the great ones like Senna,prost, Schumacher,etc,were incredible talent

while yes the sound of the v8 era is great, v10 even better and V12 is... don't need to be explained. this Seb's run on 2009 which is flawless is 1 second slower than Valteri's lap 9 years later, which is 1:46.286, while seb's 1:47.283 in a case yes the cars are getting slightly dull sound wise but the speed is improving, not slowing at all

It's just insane how fast they go. Even though I fly airplanes regularly at that speed and above, I could not even imagine driving at that speed. It must be so invigorating to be strapped into one of these land rockets and do what Vettel and others do regularly.

I can't believe he was able to push that hard during the race! High deg Pirelli tyres and fuel saving means drivers never push that hard now. F1 should keep the hybrid V6's but open them up for development, increase the max fuel flow and max fuel, widen the cars and increase the downforce created by the floor as well as make lower deg tyres. Luckily theres actually a chance that it might happen in 2017!

F1 drivers need serious concentration to race, but I'm 100% sure that they also have fun when they race at such high speeds and nail every apex.
Drivers have to be pushing to the limit during the race too. We need more "maximum attack" moments.
That track is nuts. So many corners perfectly angled so that you can go flat out through them. Definitely not a fun track in the wet.
Pouhon is an utterly stunning Corner. 1 minute in. Love it just as much as Eau Rouge.
