You seem like the nicest UA-camr. I think you are a good example. I love how you end your shows. You kind of remind me of Fred Rogers. You should be on television for little kids. Kids would love you. You are such a positive thinker. Especially in this video. Seriously Steve.
Your desire for some privacy, a close separation, responsibility is a strong sign you are growing healthier. This is really great! I am so happy for you.
You are spot-on with the beauty of the environment a natural healer mind, body, and soul as you said 🌴🌊 🌞 🏝️ 🌴🌴 This sunsets must be spectacular. Away from citylights the night sky I'm sure is amazing 🌔🌕🌖⭐⭐⭐💫⭐⭐⭐💫 Breathe it in ✨
I completely understand how you feel, I had to go through some of this same stuff too. You are a person, not an illness, and you deserve the best and most independent life possible. (Not to criticize family - they are wonderful - but navigating these things is something that we have to do with them for the good of everybody.)
Hi Stephen. It sounds like you're ready to take another step...having your own space. There are gripper pads that you can buy to put on each step that may keep you from slipping. It sounds like your basement may be a good idea for your own space (apartment). I believe you wouldn't be as likely to hear your parents eating. You would have the feeling of being on your own, but your parents would still be there. I don't know how much remodeling you would need to do, but it may be worth it. You, ( and your parents too) would have your own space, but could still be together when you want. Hope something works out. The Bay is absolutely beautiful! So proud of you for the long walk....great for the mind. Sunshine is a great source of vitamin D...we all need that. Take care Stephen. I'm anxious to hear about your progress.
Hi Cheryl! Thank you very much for your encouragement and ideas for moving forward with my life. It is very helpful! Have a happy and healthy rest of your day!
I check every evening to see if you’ve uploaded a video 😀 always good when you have new content. The views are lovely in this video! The weather looks amazing. As always love the content keep them coming 😀
Great video man! Awesome views! You’re doing great. My schizophrenia got worse and it gives me hope to see you being positive and engaging. I’ve kinda lost my spark, sadly.
That was a great walk Steven, I thoroughly enjoyed it and the scenery and chat. It's great that you have dreams. it's another sign of good mental health in my view. You are very sensible in your approach too. You know your limitations. These will probably change as you gradually take on more responsibility, Nothing ever stays the same. One thing leads to another as you probably have noted in your podcasts and walks. If you don't have a dream, how are you going to have a dream come through? Yes, it will be great to take control and give yourself responsibilities. Things that you can do at your own pace and in your own way. Thing that you want to pay attention to and that will provide you with exercise and conversation opportunities. Be sure to pay more attention to the good, the beautiful and the true in your journey. It's so important and it's everywhere and usually free if we only look. You can tell us about your decorating plans if you like. Hopefully your parents house is designed for dividing up and your parents are willing.
You are doing great my friend, and I also understand how you feel about having your own space. Have you ever try to apply for social security disability because you will get qualified and that can bring you some income until you find yourself a good job. I also believe your high heart rate is a side effect of the antipsychotic medication because I have it too. Thank you for making that video.
Thank you for taking us on. Such a nice walk! It certainly is beautiful there. I am very glad to hear that your exercise is doing good. Keep up the good job.😊
Thank you for this video Stephen, it was so relaxing to listen to your voice and watch your beautiful area, and I also learned two new words from your video: misophonia and rustic. Thank you again, best wishes :)
I think that you can get an app to help you be independent. The app could beep to let you know when you have to get chores done. You can have pictures to help you with the executive function part. People with aurism can do many things by following rhe icons. Pictures are usually easier than written words. You can laminate the pages so you can check each item as you do it. An app could be really great as well.
My dilemma is the same. But i do have my own space my parents have given me cancel culture guilt. Dealing with past times of me yelling at ppl in my psychotic breaks is the most it tho just getting this out there i guess. I also understand schooling and how hard schizophrenia hits you and how debilitating it is true inspiration kid i wish i could do what your doing. Well i do but on twitch a bit. Gl hope to catch your videos more often
I'm halfway through the video I shouldn't comment until the end but you talkin about being more independent I'm thrilled. My question is (if appropriate to ask) does your parents have room on their property to build a small apartment/addition, transfer pool house or a garage, a larger space to call your own. 🌴🏡 🏠🌴 🌞
3.11 miles is a half a mile of a swedish mile. Great job! I think I had a similar lengthy walk today at the lake. The sun came back for the first time today since new year. The clouds have been heavy here and sometimes they light up from the sportsarena on the other side of the bay. Im sure you will find great solutions for space! Maybe build a house on the garden? :P
must drink lots of water when out, as antipsychics dehydrate also watch your skin, as it can go red in the sun just after ten mins yet again an antipsychotic sideeffect.
Hi Stephen, driers sometimes play a tune when they finish or give a time estimate. I know my LG drier does and it’s quite helpful although I don’t always hear it because it is in the garage. Have you thought about setting an alarm on your phone to take the washing out of the drier?
Looks like a lovely day! Independent living is a positive aspiration, but a gradual approach may be more practical. Maybe a separate extension in your parents house (depending on land and cost)?. It's a tough choice: Misophonia vs paying rent.... you'll find the best way. ;-)
Hey Stephen cool video. Do you know why your heart rate is so high? Have you discussed it with a doctor or your psychiatrist? Did you have a high heart rate even before your psychosis and before clozapine?
Thank you Dardan! We have discussed it with my doctor and it is possibly due to my anxiety, but we are not sure. My heart rate was never an issue before then.
I imagine your "space" issue has been solved by now but dude if there is an entire basement just chillin clearly you ought to turn it into your own personal mancave "bachelor pad" of sorts. Im sure other than not being able to handle the myriad sounds of others eating you have certain needs a man of your age finds impossible to ignore and perhaps having an area friends could visit whereby they wouldn't have to first meet your parents would be immensely helpful to that end. You know what i mean. Like, actual privacy. If you are going to be living with them indefinitely until youre ready to be on your own then your parents and you will have to make it work one way or another.
One thing, I think various people with mental illnesses are living in poverty. People are privileged to have family support when ill, but imagine parents willing to or wealthy enough to take on adult children who aren't well? You are fortunate.
Family support should be called normal not privileged. Because when you say privileged it insinuates the person is pampered, elite and above others. Having no family support is disadvantaged or abnormal. Everyone should have the support of family. That’s what family is. Families that don’t help their own are rotten.
I believe that every single psychological problem can be healed and solved. I have been thinking about your phobia and what comes to mind is past life trauma that can carry over into the next life time. There was a little boy who had a serious neck wound that the doctors could not make sense of. They were about to do an operation on him when he told everybody that he needed to talk about his past life time. They put the operation on hold which I find remarkably cooperative. The boy said that he was a soldier during the second world war and he got shot down from a fighter plane and he had this neck wound from which he bled to death and that this experience was so traumatic that it carried over into the next life time. He cried a lot and gave detailed data on the soldier with name and time etc. They researched the data and that person did actually exist. After the boy cried through those memories his neck wound began to rapidly heal right away and the doctor did not do the operation. The neck wound healed up very quickly. I have watched numerous of those stories where children reported previous life times. When someone is mentally so open to the past life time or any memories of trauma in general then they have a real chance at healing their mental wounds or physical wounds very quickly.
Your surroundings are sooo beautiful

Does your house have a downstairs that you could turn into a man cave? Many men enjoy this . A bathroom and kitchen area would complete the area 🏠

We don’t have room on our current property. Good suggestion! Thank you!

@@SurvivingSchizophrenia I see. I hope it isn't too much of an issue
Your pulse is way too high I remember you mentioned it before it has to be address. I'm surprised they don't do your vitals at every appointment.
Thank you Pauline, I will get it checked
