Wrap in wire cloth and weed barrier to keep rodents out. Run a 25 watt air pump hose through it to disperse air. Run a water pump through it to disperse water. Can be solar powered. The compost pile will keep 160 degrees through winter. Transfer that heat to you plants through waterlines Another way is to put the raised bed directly atop the 3 by 3 woodchip pile😊
Those are really catching on! Gary Pilarchik from "The Rustic Garden" uses them as trellises. I'd rather use them for mini hoop green houses & mini shade houses. Thank you for the tip!
Great idea, thanks! It might be a good idea to put some duct tape on the plastic where you push the staples through to hold the plastic down, it'd prevent tearing and make it last longer.

Thanks for posting! This seems both afforable, durable simple. I have heard PVC needs to be painted or will break down in the sun. Rebar is durable but I am thinking of how I would bend it! Your idea is so accessible😊
This is the exact video that we've been looking for. We have metal raised beds & thought that the PVC would be too flimsy, given that we live in an area where high winds thunderstorms are VERY common. Thank you soooo much @Bruner Gardens for the inspiration!

So far so good! They're thick enough to last. After last winter, I folded them and put them in my garage. I had to bring them out a couple of weeks ago when we had freezing temps and they're as good as new. No degradation. They're very durable and I believe I'll be able to use them for several seasons. Hope this helps!
"Thank You So Much"!! I just put up our Hoop House and it was so easy! We started Contender Green Beans late and only have about 3-weeks till maturity. It's now the end of September in Indiana and the evenings/mornings are dipping down into the mid 40's. I was freaking out until I saw your video, and knocked out this house in about 2-hours including the time to took to get my stuff from Menards, they had three different sizes!! (Neither Lowes or Home Depot had the material in stock). You explained & demonstrated everything perfectly!! The bed is only about 10' x 4' and full of beautiful bushy green beans, I would have hated to delay or loose them. Wish I could post a picture for you, I think you'd be proud of what you started 😊😊😊😊
great idea, I saw another youtuber who uses tulle the stuff from the fabric store to cover plants, to keep out critters, plus the rain can still get thru and its reusable, I have alot of farm cats to keep our so I'm going to check out these, thanks for the great idea
Thank you for this idea. I was just about to buy the #9 wire and cut them to make hoops but they are flimsy and need some sort of support if there is snow or high winds. I expect these to be sturdier.
I've been looking for something more slender so I wouldn't have to deal with cutting a hog or cattle panel down to size. These pieces of remesh would be MUCH easier to manage for my intended use. Thank you!
For the first time I just watched a video, combining 2 of these ladder mesh, to create a large arch. This is a great option, love the look too. In a bind I cut a hula hoop in half, to create these small arches, but I didn’t like the look. Can’t wait to buy these ladder mesh. Thank you 🤗🌱
The hula hoop is genius! I like the large arch idea too. The great thing with the ladder mesh is that you can use them in many different ways, depending on your needs.

You're welcome Valencia! I purchased some shade cloth last fall, but haven't had to break it out yet. I'm taking a break from growing curcubits and melons this year since they've been ravaged with pickle worms and squash vine borers the past to years. I usually grow luffa and beans on the cattle panel.

Hi Kimberley! I'm glad you found me too! I've had the same issue with my bean seeds, but I can't blame it on the birds, it's those darn squirrels. I replanted some today and sprinkled some red pepper flakes on top of the soil (to deter the squirrels) and we'll see if they make it.
Shoot! It doesn't appear that Lowe's carries this right now. I prefer Lowe's over HD but even HD doesn't have them. I may just buy a cattle panel at Wilco and cut it into strips.

Check out the link in the description for the remesh. I rented a utility trailer from U-Haul and picked up the river rocks myself. Be sure to put your landscape fabric down first and get less rocks than you think you'll need, as mine stretched further than it looked. You can always go back for more. Are you in GA?

I just got some wood to make boxes but lack of good trellising and no ground cover made for some issues last summer so I want to put boxes with trellises, and something on the ground so I don't have to fight weeds & grass growth to get to the beds.
Ok, cool! For a large trellis like the one in the center of my garden, checkout Tractor Supply for a cattle panel. I got my rocks at Doug Clack Trucking (Google) but you may be able to find something closer to you.
I see a California prop 65 warning on these. I don't know if plants absorb lead from the ground, but I wouldn't take the chance without doing some research on it.

Hi Kim! I initially created this solution to protect my winter crops from a hard freeze, but it also works in spring and summer using row cover instead of plastic to protect crops from pests.
