Greetings from Belgrade. Great review and guitar. I have the same model only from 1998 and it belonged to a guitarist from the group Textures, but now it's mine :) Great instrument, it's a real pleasure to play on it. If I would single out something special then it is the neck. After 10 hours of playing, my hands don't hurt. It's a real pleasure.

The 1998 has a thinner neck than the 1999-2002 models. I have a 2000 and love it just the way it is...

I got that guitar. Got it in 2008 on eBay. Another way to tell the difference between the early version and a later other then the neck is the Light Without Heat pyramid logo is one version has a double border and the other has no border.

@@realtruenorth I did a serial number check of mine about a year ago. Since I don’t have it next to me but what I found out is mine was made in September of 97 or 98. Which ever is the first year. Kind of surprised when I found out I have one of the first ones.
@@dustinparker9456 that's awesome don't ever get rid of that. Mine is the early quatersawn neck, the good neck. Before that made it thicker and added walnut stripes. Multi piece. It plays like a good 6 string does. Very effortless. It's one of my favorite guitars for playability.

How much should I pay for this exact model currently I found a UV777P 19 99-2000 for about $2300 is this guitar over priced?
I bought mine for around 1500$, the knife edges were tired so I got new bridge and also changed the frets for new ones (old ones were good it was just me prefering SS frets). Check the guitar, negotiate and have lots of fun playing it :)

Hi :) New models are not available, I bought mine used and was really hunting for it for a long time. The track I play is a shortened version of my forthcoming single :)
@@Obroos I really understand why you're hunting for it, the design is really beautiful. I saw the new model the UV70P, has pick up Dimarzio Blaze but the UV777P it's Dimarzio Blaze 2 , wondering if any difference between DiMarzio Blaze and Blaze 2 ?

Actually when DiMarzio launched Blaze Pickups they called them Blaze, the Ibanez put them into UV and added 2. Basically they are the same pickups :) Thanks for kind words , working on single and more Music to come 🎸
@@Obroos thanks for your answers - So i'm hunting for that Ibanez too - if i can't reach it i will take the new version ! hope to hear soon your forthcoming single ;) - I know an artist the sound compositor of silent hill Akira Yamaoka has the Universe and i think has recorded many songs with this guitare, i m fan. All his songs are really nice to hear , very well sound design, that's why i want that guitar, and i like well Steve Vai , Satriani. ;)
Personnaly I have the Telecaster J5 Custom Shop with Bigsby, that's a very good guitar but today that's not anymore the sound i'm looking for.
Not a tele guy but J5 tele is Awesome 👏🏻
a zrobisz coś po polsku?? o najpiękniejszej na świecie suczce która sie nazywa ibanez universe model green dot. to dopiero jest przeeeeeepiekna!! nawet byłbym zdolny do tego aby żonę za nią zamienic.
Polowałem na Green dota lub na UV777P. Udało się z obecnym wiosłem. Obecnie raczej nie ogarnę Greena, jeśli chodzi o 7ki to obecnie interesują mnie głównie RGD oraz nowość w tym roku czyli seria AZ w wersji 7 strun 🎸
Hi. How much difference did the fret change make? :)
Hi :) The sound is a little brighter , bending is easier and I can set a pretty low action. I always put jumbo frets in my guitars but this time I decided to get medium ones which are more unforgivable.
