I think just taking yr shahadah is a big thing. Mashallah. No matter how long it has been since you converted to Islam, that doesn't mean you need to be a perfect Muslim. To be honest, for a person to be a perfect Muslim, they got to have a very high Imaan or be on the third level of Islam (Ihsaan). I am Muslim, was born in a Muslim family. As a young Muslim, it can be difficult to follow every rule, especially with the influence of others etc (I live in a non-Muslim country). V just have to continue making dua and asking Allaah to (continue to) guide us to the straight path and increase our faith in Him (Allaah). Thanks, sorry for any confusion

If you search about whether growing the beard is obligatory in Islam, then you'll find that growing the beard is mandatory/wa'jib and shaving the beard is totally prohibited and Allah knows best. You can go ahead and research yourselves or ask a sheikh. Just a friendly and important correction on the matter of growing the beard. It was the Sunnah (way of the Prophet Muhammad SAW) however it is mandatory too. And Allah knows best.

It’s a good sunnah but it isn’t fard and that’s ijma. Dr. Zakir is knowledgeable but he is not a mufti. He also thinks it is ok to touch the Quran without wudu but the ijma is the opposite.
In Hadith of Sahih Muslim Aisha RA narrates that the Prophet Muhammad SAW said, that there are 10 things which are natural or a part of the fitrah (natural inclination), herunder growing the beard for the man (paraphrasing). And Allah SWT knows best.

can we have a more depth how you got to know each other😭? How you told your family Fatima and how they reacted etc? Alhamdulillah and mashAllah you are blessed that it was easy for you to get married etc. a LOT of ethnic Muslim parents would still not be okay with marrying outside of the race, especially to a white person - so frustrating and wrong because this is not what Islam teaches.

There are more females than males in Pakistan and almost no Pakistani girl wants to be a second, third, or fourth wife of her husband so now days Pakistani families are more open-minded, they do not care about ethnic groups, they just care if man is Muslim.
Yeah, they are.more restrictive when it comes to girls. They don't have any problems with boys marrying girls from other race. It's sad that they follow culture more than Islam.

Asalaamu Aleikum. If you search about whether growing the beard is obligatory in Islam, then you'll find that growing the beard is mandatory/wa'jib and shaving the beard is totally prohibited and Allah knows best. You can go ahead and research yourselves or ask a sheikh. Just a friendly and important correction on the matter of growing the beard. It was the Sunnah (way of the Prophet Muhammad SAW) however it is mandatory too. And Allah knows best.
You can check out Dr. Zaikir Naik's response to whether growing the beard is Fard or Sunnah on UA-cam. May Allah guide us all to the Straight Path. Ameen.

It’s a good sunnah but it isn’t fard and that’s ijma. Dr. Zakir is knowledgeable but he is not a mufti. He also thinks it is ok to touch the Quran without wudu but the ijma is the opposite.

In Hadith of Sahih Muslim Aisha RA narrates that the Prophet Muhammad SAW said, that there are 10 things which are natural or a part of the fitrah (natural inclination), herunder growing the beard for the man (paraphrasing). And Allah SWT knows best.
