Every review I have seen the presenter is smiling, this thing is a game changer!
This is basically an upgraded NS7, it's nice but it doesn't do anything new really. And for the price it should have had either a built in screen, or an add on screen like the NS7 Dashboard. Dunno why it took so long for someone to make a new NS7, I would have bought this last year if it had been out.
It even feels like a step down from the Numark NS7. And for the price it should have been a 4 channel mixer.

@@jtm71 maybe so but solves a lot of problems for me as a DJ. I had the NS7, was too heavy to lug around. This is a good balance.

I saw the leak, got stoked, saw the price.. Questioned my level of stoked, then saw reviews and realized how sick this thing actually is.

Man the numark NS7 came in at about $500-700 dollars and it does the same exact shit. Rane is really trying to milk ppl for $1,500 that shit is hilarious!
@@itimmy101 I know it's expensive, and I actually disagreed with the price until I saw the reviews. I had and sold the ddj 1000srt because it was all plastic. For an extra 300, you get all metal, high torque, mag 4.. Worth the extra $299 imo.
@@sike1dj ok the fader is probably the most expensive part, but that still doesn't justify the price, the entire unit is digital...i would understand if the mixer was analog but its not... i say hard pass an stick with pioneer, denon, numark, or heck even the Hercules for that matter.
@@itimmy101 End of the day, if you're a turntablist, this is for you. No scratch dj is using every feature on the Prime 4. I scratch a ton, yet I didn't like the 1000 for scratching really. I feel like this is a great move.
@@sike1dj yeah...i scratch too that's why i say the NS7 is a better bang for your buck (for battle/scratch dj's)

This is a Great Review..I love it..Also i wasn't expecting that awesome scratch at the very end of video..One of my favorite classic's . Step in the Arena...Gang Starr.

@@themccoysofficial For me personally I never really used the four decks, outside of using one for my sample deck and the touch controls is a little gimmicky

Got the email from AGIPro DJ and saw “Rane” and “Motorized” without reading anything else I ordered it. After seeing all the videos im glad I did. BTW, they have it for $1,350 with a discount code that is on their home page.

@@djxcel23 I still take my NS7 (the original) out to gig. I use it with a Pioneer DDJ SP1. Works perfect with DJ Pro, I might have to get one of these though.

This didnt age super well with the Rev7 coming out. BUT!!! I personally still think the Rane One is better.

I love the look of this and since I used turntables and have experience with the Denon SC3900s, I should feel at home with this. However, and I am certain some if not all would disagree with me on this, I would have love to see a larger platter, like that of the SC3900 where it had a 9 inch vinyl and the platter to accommodate it. The Rane One just seems small and coming in at 26 inches, not sure I would run out and get this so if Rane is "testing the market" on a motorized, platter controller and are successful, perhaps a Rane Two with the 9 inch platters would be a consideration...
Some will argue that the Rane One is already at 23 lbs. and I would just replay that its still less weight than 2 1200s. The 9 inch platter wouldn't weigh that much more the the Rane One...IMO.

This is basically a 2 channel Numark NS7II but inMusic figured hey, put the Rane brand on it instead, we can charge more for it that way!
So I just purchased one of these and I don’t see where the Cerrado }software comes with it, but I already have Cerrado, but it won’t open up when I plug the rane one in

I love the look and feel of this but that price point though? At the end of the day it's an investment I guess. I've had my eye on the Rane Twelve for a minute but I'd have to buy 2 of those AND a mixer. This is all in one (just smaller platters). Let the saving begin...

Trimmed out cost of the 70 with two motorized platters. Worth more than the SX but less than the SZ. Perfectly priced especially if it's going to last for a good amount of time for mobile DJs. Can't wait to get my hand on one of these.

Nice, but I will stick to my ancient Numark NS7. It has same turning tables and access to serato but much more functions (touch sensitive (!) knobs for effects and EQ) - and: 4 Channel deck with akai buttons plus display, hadrware-reverse etc.
Sorry to ask a lateral question about Serato on this video chat but I have the Native Instruments Kontrol S4 mk1 and wonder if Serato Studio and DJ Pro is compatible.

Numark should have made this controller as a update to the original ns7 and call it the ns7 one, with just two channels.

it’s cool but I’ll stick with my pioneer ddj sz I don’t see much of a difference besides the platers moving like a 1200. That’s odd scratching with a 45 however that’s my opinion.

The NS7iii does basically everything this one does + has 2 more channels + has 3 full color screens. I'm failing to see how slapping the Rane name on this makes it an upgrade over the last NS7. It's also like 10lb lighter, which is probably a great thing in a lot of people's eyes. But to me it means it's probably not as well built.
@@Bigheadedwon i know, own 1, but thank you for detailed info. Many djs i know have looked for ns7 equivalent in recent years, until Rane released 12, and Denon his MX5000m. Just saying.

Hi there, this hardware unlocks Serato DJ Pro for free when plugged into the software.
Do low end frequancies effect tthe stability of the track marker ??? ...when I have used traktor vinyl it skips about like crazy from the bass , making beat juggling impossible as it not landeing on the 12 oclock marker
Strange issue! Low end does not affect the stability of the track markers in Serato DJ Pro, if you were to encounter something like this you can always reach out to us on - support@serato.com
@@SeratoHQ thanks for quick reply .. so if I was performing live and the bass was rumbling there would b no issue with vibration effecting the playback of the track … preventing me from beat juggling properly? I know this maybe a silly question as ther is no tone arm .. but this is a deal breaker for me as I want to purchase but need to be sure ..cheers ✊🏼

Is he correct in asserting that the top three FX dials control the left deck, and the bottom three FX dials control the right deck? I thought that there are six possible effects, all available to either deck by using the paddles.
