Noticed how you weren't passing any cars till that red suv nearly grazed you trying to get ahead of you out of impatience and you breezed right by them at the light almost a mental middle finger right back at them, loved it lol
probably the best cable management on moterized bike
You've build exactly what i'm in the process of building. Beautiful work.✌
I am also in the process of building beautiful work! 😂
Can you make a how to video on porting and how get maximum performance
I have a Nel Lusso, from WalMart. Every damp part of the bike had some surface rust to it. I removed that silly Huffy medallion and cut the tabs to the plate there off so that I could mount by gas tank. I am slapping on a Lock N Load friction-drive on this bike, so I ended up having to cut off the bike rack on back. It has other mods to it and that particular model looks pretty nice, even if you don't modify it like I have done. I changed out the kick stand and am pleased with it, so far. I may later ditch the friction-drive unit and slap on a two-stroke engine, instead. Nice ride and build.
I really like that seat doe.
I built myself an electric bike bmx frame. It’s fantastic
Just scored one but my chain rubs the inside of the rear fork how can I fix this
Dude I just ordered this bike! Thats awesome the work you put into it. I'm not sure if I'm ballsy enough to try this but it looks amazing!
Be careful that frame is known to break!! I didnt know that before i did this bike. ua-cam.com/video/C9lEUNBKqxg/v-deo.html
you know you ought to try uploading a digital speedometer off of your Google App Store and Link it to your GoPro so that your viewers can see how fast you're going
This bike is so sick!! I have the same one. I plan on getting an engine for it as well. Thanks for the insight
To fast for me. I would rather have the low end torque , I am not interested in doing over 25 mph on a bicycle. I don't bounce like i use to..lol
Where I live over 25 would get you busted anyway, If i were to build one of these I would choose a bike frame with dual disc brakes, a coaster brake will burn up eventually.
@@cymoncyrado2879 I've been running 40mph with no brakes lol. dollar store flip flops are brakes
@@propabilityfpv303 Hope your life insurance is paid up.
@@cymoncyrado2879 lmao this actually encouraged me to buy a sproket to hub adapter to get brakes. btw dollar store flip flops are preety effective at stopping lol
😂😂😂😭😭😭😭😭😭
Very similar to my Panama Jack beach cruiser with factory Cadillac script emblems on the chocolate brown gas tank LOL. I think this winter I will trade the 2-stoke for a 4-stroke with centrifugal clutch and regular gas and put the 2-stroke on my '62 Schwinn : )
I too have a Panama jack Beach cruiser bike and I'm currently working on putting a 6.5 predator engine on it I'm not sure what kinds of things I'm going to run into getting it to fit send me some pics of your bike please so i can get some insight
My dad just got me the same bike yesterday, I’m going to try it out in an empty parking lot this weekend.
nice bike but you really need to adjust your idle WAY down!
trent brockus why is it the idle climbs higher as the motor warms up is that normal or some type of vacume leak
I had a motor with s high idle turned out it had a damaged shaft seal.
I just bought a wallmart one just like this, its a gem
Thanks for the cool video! I have the same bike with the 80cc on it Ive riden the crap out of it with no issues I love it!
Any cracking where the back rack meets the frame ... i just bought one and now i am hearing horror stories of it cracking there while riding
I started with a beach cruiser base model (no hand breaking or suspension). It had a 80cc engine that ran great but unfortunately was paired with a terrible bicycle which fell apart in less than 6 mos. Of normal riding and maintenance. Those Walmart types of bicycles aren't made for speeds over 12 mph. If you disagree, my challenge to you to make a controlled stop while going full speed down a slight incline or hill. The pedal break will fail horribly and painfully. Please don't find out the hard way, start your build with good, solidly built bicycle and have fun and ride safely with good equipment. It's totally worth the expense to have an amazing and enjoyable experience.
I have a huffy too its a walmart one but its pretty sturdy its a cruiser i want to put an engine on it too also want to put wider tires on it. Tbh i liked driving my car but modding a bike seems so much more fun and worthwhile. Not to mention itll save on gas and other stuff
the built-in carrier and front basket are must-haves
Those frames are known to break
@@MotoredLife Thanks. i'll avoid them then
@@MotoredLife Really how often does that happen? I don't intend to ride it hard
same thing I did except mines got ape hangers and I took off the basket n cup holder. its an awesome bike! good job!
kevin carter handle bars
It would be nice in the descriptions to let us know where you get certain things parts such as the cup holder the blinking lights I can't find them... Plus the upgrades and things of that nature.
If you wanna make it faster straight pipe it. You have to cut off the exhaust and just leave the first part of the exhaust that is connected to the head of the motor. Trust me I did it and it gives it way more power and it will not break I swear I had it like that for like 3 months.
I wonder if you can find turn signal lights for the bikes
I just bought that exact bike and want to add a engine to it as well. I was wondering what do you use for brakes
Nice..I have a very similar build on a Huffy Big Daddy...getting older and hate the pedal start especially if you are stalled at an uphill stoplight. Thinking of adding a pull start ...any recommendations as I have same engine?
Dude that is so clean both of mine are kind of rat dirty jobs but they look so cool in one of them the first one we did buy a brand new engine for the entire kit and then slapped it on a bunch of Walmart parts that I threw together the frame bike itself I bought for 80 bucks 2 years ago Know it has an engine on it
Have you ever use one of those fuel tank 64 oz Top mount Gas Tank with Mounting Bracket hardware from Stanton on any of your bikes? I would have to paint the tank if I chose to ever use one, as they seem to be only in a white plastic. Just curious. I am thinking of removing that rear rack and cutting off those support rods to my Del Lusso and capping each with a rubber cap. I just removed that plastic medallion and plate at the top of the frame. Not sure what I will put in there in place of it, but maybe a pedestrian cutter-style license plate with some saying written onto it. I have always had them on my sidecar rigs, so no issues in adapting on where that plastic crap was removed. It would be interesting to slap on a friction-motor on this bike if I choose to remove that rear rack and fender.
Do you have a link to that tank?
Dude that Bi me is nice That is what I'm working toward Great video Bro
Can you help me I haven't been able to build mine beavis of the rear wheel won't move when I put it back I really need help
That thing moving pretty good
5:38 did he really crop dusting the parking lot as he left.. ?🤣
Nice bike what can you tell me about the fire storm 80s are they the true Zeda
So is there a place to get this done to your bike or do you have to do ot yourself ?o have the same bike
I have the same bike with a 66/80cc Seeutek motor.
Did you have to extend your spark plug wire on your cdi or did you find a different cdi with longer plug wire? The kit I have has a fairly short plug wire. I would love to hide wiring like you did here.
DO I have to change the handle bars on it mine were black longer ones
Which sprocket would give me the best top speed and low torque? because I want the best of both thank you for your input. This is my first build
+Charles Britt 40t works for me and I'm 230
Motored Life thank you sir
Huffy nel lusso rims are tough...i blew my rear tire and rode it five miles on a flat tire....rim is fine :)
Can you assemble V-brakes on this?
David Absolu C style not V without welding
This bike is almost perfect. It was very easy to assemble. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx2YFGCCEkXKgqCOH-7vlvgb4L4hg4IrXI The fit was great as well. I am 5'11" and 160 lbs with a longer torso and rather shorter legs, and 55cm is a perfect fit. Every component seems to be pretty decent and durable except the rear wheel. It was a bit lob-sided and also the freewheel component is either missing a ball bearing or under lubricated, which prevents the wheel from rotating freely. Because of that, it requires more pedaling and also climbing hills a lot harder than expected. Other than the back wheel, I like everything else about it. Affordable and well-built.** UPDATE **It turns out the sound was caused by the tight chain tension. Once I loosen it up by moving the backwheel a tad bit closer to the crankset, the sound went away.
looks like you’re in the pnw. really looks like vancouver, wa. damn i miss home.
would you say coaster brakes are preferable than caliper brakes (rear) on a Nel lusso?
+David Absolu the coaster brake will heat up and lock. V or C are way better. Discs are the way to go by far.
Could you just go with a front disc brake along with the rear coaster? Either way, do you have a particular kit that will work the best with this setup?
No.
I went without a coaster brake because it couldn't clear the bolts on my sprocket adapter(bike berry). I just have a front brake and the pads need to be replaced.
Will the 36 tooth on the pk 80 still climb hills decent and once again nice video
The weed eater sound kills it for me..
Does
huffy still make the Nel Lusso i want one .
How wide is the post where you mount the motor?
Got the same one. Took off the front fender, and shortened the rear one, got tired of them rattling and getting the way. Installed a used front suspension fork. After about a tank of gase, I had to rebuild the crank, right stock pedal stripped out. repacked the rear wheel bearings, they were almost dry! Had the chain tensioner move into the spokes on the rear wheel. Thought it was tight enough without snapping off the bolts again! Got new wheels from Huffy. Cheap! No matter how tight I have the handlebar stem screw, I can still twist them. I have stock a 41 tooth rear sprocket, does 25 flat out 30 down hill! Installed new Bell 26 X 1.75" Kevlar tires with the Slime tire liners and tubes. On the front fork, I installed V-Brakes on the front in addition to the coater on the rear. Your bike is crazy fast! To be street legal here in Az, they can't be over 49CC and or go over 20mph. Then they are treated just light a motorcycle with lights, registration, insurance etc.
Lame same in NH but mph is 30 but im running an 80cc and you cant tell the difference in size also i bought the same bike ..hated the looks . so i went with a Hypercycle w/whitewall tires and a set of 12 inch apehangers looks great
What city was this taken in? That looks like the same car wash I used to work at!!
I built mine with a huffy nel lusso bike and a 80cc engine kit
That Nel Lusso will break at the rack. I have seen 50+ now break in the same spot.
I just picked up one of these cruisers to slap a motor on it and use it when I travel in my travel trailer. Unfortunately, you can only find them at WalMart down here or you end up paying a high shipping and tax price on them. At WallyWorld, they have the damn things up on racks and you can't see crap as to what is put together correct or not, let alone read anything about it there. The handlebars on mine need adjustment, as they slip easily. I will be stripping off that chrome badge, as a personal thing to do. I am actually thinking more of a four stroke motor like a Honda GXH50 and even running on propane instead of gasoline if I go that route. Curiosity question as i never see it mentioned to begin with, but how do you check your gasoline level if the tank has no gas gauge to it? Sounds like a silly question, but I am a newbie to these bikes with motors on them. Where did you purchase the two stroke motor and such from?
Just a heads up. The Nel Lusso are know to break at the rack. Ive seen 50+ broken now.
Lol i check the gas before I leave the house every time.
@@MotoredLife Thanks for the info. I wanted a Micargi Stealth cruiser, but they simply don't have them locally and shipping and tax added to one made them too expensive. Is that the Wildcat Runwell 80cc/66cc PK80 motor you put onto this one? Was it the one at BikeBerry? When I go to their site, all of these motors seem to be out of stock, presently. Thanks for the info and I do appreciate it.
@@a1930ford For sure not from bike berry! This one is a Zeda80. I think from bicycle-engines.com or bicycle motor works
My hub sprocket would come lose and make me crash ...almost was a bad bad time ...What would you recommend to fix that
Nice. Your idle is set really high though
JakelaWeeze a bit yeah! it evened out once it broke in.
I have the same nel lusso, very comfortable but you're moving way way too fast for relying on a coaster brake.
I'm installing a front disk brake on mine, I found a much better quality front wheel and caliper on an abandoned bike.
If you lose your bike chain you have no brakes at all.
When you stomp on the pedals for an emergency stop thats when the bike chain is most likely to let go.
I run a 4 stroke and top speed is 22mph, I would not ride as fast as you , its just a matter of time before someone pulls out in front of you. Strongly advise you get a side mirror, it really is a huge safety factor.
Drill through the tensioner and install a small pop rivet to keep the bracket going into the spokes.
I did the same rivet trick for the gas tank bracket.
The 415H heavy duty motorbike chains are supposed to be a lot stronger than the typical 415 chains, I broke my chain yesterday on a snowmobile trail up here in northern Maine, so I'll be ordering the heavier chain.
Where did you get that throttle and clutch lever? I like the red and black look.
David Absolu those are the stock zeda clutch and throttle. Mine came with those and they rule. :)
How did you not cut the fender
I'm a newby at this motorized biking gig. I'm building a 1964 Schwinn Typhoon with the 66cc/80cc 2 stroke. I see pro and con with brake choices. What brake hub did you use on this bike and how well does it stop? I've got the optional Bendix coaster all the way up to front and rear disc. I want to go coaster with high temp grease bearings. What is the lifespan of the hub and is it safe at 30mph? Thank You
If you have any other option other than the coaster use it! I mean honestly use them all if you can the more brakes the better. Discs have the best stopping power tho.
@@MotoredLife I've got local shops that sell these bikes with the given kit installed. I'm building one peice at a time and watching alot of videos trying to get the best out of whats out there , Thank you for sharing your experience. I'll have to post a video when this project becomes a roller.
Hey I have one of these it's s Harley kit and it sat for a while I cleaned the carb and put new gas into it adjusted the clutch and all that but o don't think I'm getting spark, any suggestions?
Take the plug out hold it to the engine roll the bike
What size hub sprocket set do I need
How long does you break in period last and how to do it?
Usually 2 or so full tanks of 16:1 then go 32:1 I personally use 40:1 because I thrash alot
what size is the 36 tooth? like the hub any way you can send me the link ?
I have the wildcat pk80 engine and it almost sits right up against the frame.
Did you modify/shave and out for it to fit?
So I just bought one of these, how can I tell when it's overheating
Touch it
How many miles would this thing get on a full tank
How you put the original grips on there
I ran into a problem. Suddenly I am only getting about half of the power that I had after installing a new muffler, intake, and bucking bar for the clutch. I also had to change my back tire, which has a smaller outer diameter than the original factory tire. Any suggestions? I even put the old intake back on hoping that would resolve the issue.
just built the same bike. I would suggest getting a front brake just in case.
Photojunky's Drone Zone Vlog for sure that rear brake will heat the hell up. replaced it with a HI-Stop one
I've only got about 12 miles on mine. I love your mounts. where did you get it for the big frame? this was my first build and had a blast building it. my next project will be for me to keep, probably on a fat tire or mountain bike. I consider this one practice. if you are are interested, I posted a couple of build and first ride videos on my channel. you said you hit 42 MPH! that is too fast for me, besides, my area has some seriously hills so I was thinking of putting on a bigger sprocket so I don't ever have to pedal. next one I may do a shift kit. thanks for posting. subscribed.
Photojunky's Drone Zone Vlog suspension forks and disc brakes is what we are doing next on it.
Did you have to extend the paddles to clear the engine?
Can u climb steep street hills with this
How fast have you been able to go on this bike i have the same bike and everything if yours is a 66/80cc engine and i have a 45 tooth sprocket
He has a 36t and is going well over 40
Tried testing the electrical installation with my spark plug against the engine and no matter how long I pedaled NO SPARK. The spark plug is a new NGK. Help me please.
David Absolu try checking all the electrical connections. Youre bound to find at least 1 loose. If not that, disconnect the kill switch and check the spark plug wire is tight. Screw it all the way to the right as much as possible without breaking it off
if that doesnt work try the magneto check the quality and check for corrosion
What kind of spark plug???
How do you make it run the engine when u are not in motion ?
Pull the clutch handle
@@MotoredLife and accelerate ? Mine stops when i press the cluch handle while standing
Hey i have a question. Im building the exact same bike kit on the huffy with the coastwd brakes. Do thoes brakes effect the way the engine worksv
Nice bike! Where can I find the blinker set?
adrianrmr from an app called WISH
Do we need to register this bike at DMV? Need third party insurance? Can we ride it on bike Lane??? Just would like to gain more info!!! Nice bike.
Laws depend on country county and state
I am considering purchasing the Nel Lusso and motorizing with a 2 stroke engine kit. I read through the comments here. How did the bike frame break?
Always at the rear rack. Ive seen 50+ break now
@@MotoredLife Was it due to engine vibration, aggressive riding, or misuse in any way?
@@HappyPepper vibration everytime. Seen guys spend 100s of dollars in them and take care of them. Just for them to snap. All in the same place
Alex, What would be your thoughts on the carburetor conversion using a "Walbro" diaphragm carb?
Hey alex this is jr from billings, mt I was just wondering if you did any major modes for the install. And also did you have any problems with the pedal clearance?
Hi, it looks like a great bike! Can you please tell a bit more about the exhaust mod you mentioned in the vid? Is there some extra part you install to silence the engine? Thanks!
How does it work
Can you link to the exhaust or let me know where to find it?
TheChampRekts I will show everyone how to do it.
Really!
How did maintain the original handles and insert the clutch and Throttle/kill switch?
David Absolu take some pliars and pull the white throttle cable tube out of the handle. then use some wd40 to stretch the stock ones on.
How much would one of thise sell for?
Where did you get the larger motor mounts to fit the nel lusso so well?
Thats the best part about these engine from ZEDA! Also 8mm mount studs.
ZedaMotorsports.com
Do all of the zeda engines have the same mounts? And did you tap the mounts yourself to fit the 8mm bolts?
Garrett Crews yeah all have the 40mm front mount and no they come with 8mm studs front and back.
Give us tutorial of how it works
Buboy 817 you bitch
How fast ? And how fast would a 50 max out at
My Zeda80 engine contains a white cord from the engine. What will is it for?
David Absolu its for accessories but it drains from the engine. Cut it off!
How?
wire cutters
David Absolu light
Its an accessory power wire. It says it can run up to 6 volts. 6 volts is all it can give out before the engine dies. Use something that only gives out 4v MAX and it should be ok. It does rob a good bit of power so its up to you if you want to use it
Which diameter of disc brake should I use for my motorized nel Lusso motorized bicycle? 160, 180 or 203?
front or back? how are you mounting? what kind of rims
Motored Life front only, I wanted to use 6 bolt mounting and 26" rims with 36 spokes.
Motored Life which one?
I've seen 203 recommended for fronts.I never measured mine.Sorry.Watched a vid on changing TO discs and they said 203 front, and 180 rear.Good luck.
Watched another install he said break in 16 to 1, 3 gallons then go to 20 to 1. You said 32 to 1 . Why the difference.
20:1 is way too much oil. Even 32:1 is a bit much. Most people go 40:1 my ts400 and vespa run 50:1
Im looking to put a motor on a Nel Lusso, did you run into any fitment issues? I have a motorized Cranbrook which appears to be the same frame. Any issues you may have had would be appreciated
Wheelchair wheels on a motorized bike?
Like plastic spoke ones?
How do you brake with no hand brakes? Was thinking about getting the same bike for a motor build
That frame is known to break.
Sorry this is quite late, but how did you manage to keep the original grips while still having throttle?
pull the center out and wrap the original ones around it
Ah thank you so much! If only I didn't cut off the old grips when I installed it yesterday...
How fast dos it go?
No brakes going 30 mph wow
he does have brakes, he just has a shitty coaster brake
It's called 2 feet and a heart beat
I do a lot of engine breaking before I start to brake with bike so I'm not wearing them down every week... let the engine do the work
@@0Kizzy not trying to be a know it all but you shouldn't engine break with a two stroke because they get all there lubrication trough the carb so it could seize the engine
@Sean Grahame its probably best to avoid it anyway if you care about your engine but I've seen an engine by its self marked down to 30 dollars on Amazon before and plus these engine arnt the best manufactured so something else will probably give before it could cause a problem so your bike your decision
What spark plug and gap are you using, can't get mine to run as strong as yours
Nicholas Banks stock plug .280 gap. I was super easy on it for probably 6 tanks during break in. Plus those zeda engines are the best.
Motored Life Do you have a preference on the type of oil you use? Thanks!
Nicholas Banks or regular bikes I just use a premium from the autostore.
What about true-ing the rear sprocket?
That one has the cnc sprocket adapter.
You rear hub sprocket how do I know what one will fit.
most coaster brakes are 1.5
it's, beach cruiser Schwinn SS got the big spokes in it 26 in I'm looking to do the same rear sprocket that you have instead of the rag joint I guess they sell three different diameters just trying to figure out the right one
I was wanting to build one of these my bike is a 26 inch schwinn side winder do you think it will work?
yeah with large front mount and off set intake.
Motored Life I see you from Peoria to I seen you before riding around. I live in Peoria also I just got a Cranbrook huffy from Walmart, I'm gonna put a motor on it soon but thing is I don't want to do it alone if you want to help me I'll definitely pay you hopefully I hear back from you!
