Really enjoyed this video, thank you! And congratulations on your growth and success as content creators. In addition to your passion for teaching games you offer such natural, relaxed chemistry and humor. Even if you don't think of yourselves as actors, you obviously love playing together, and it shows. (Personally I really like improv acting and RPGs like Fiasco but I can definitely see that they would not be everyone's cup of tea.) And 5:30 am filming, wow, that is dedication.
These are filmed on an iPhone 12!? This is amazing! You guys represent some of the best board game content on UA-cam, and it's literally an iPhone. What a testament both to your skill, and also how easy it can be to get started!
Have only recently gotten more into board gaming and after following quite a few channels this has quickly become my favourite! Great content, super useful, keep it up!
Awesome video! Thank you for being open and sharing more about yourselves. You are my favorite board game channel and I love the calm way you teach and play through games. Keep up the excellent work!
Always great to see Dexter! And you two, of course. Glad you're picking up Blood Rage - but it's not about having it, it's about PLAYING it! Just make sure when you play it that all the cards that are possible to be in the round are explained before card drafting. It's really important to know what cards are out there before you play or things could go very badly.
A 49ers fan too!!! Man this channel gets better and better. I really enjoy the content you guys create. Also, from what I can tell from your Vlogs you both seem like very genuine people which furthers my enjoyment even more. Keep up the good work.
Thank you for the VLOG, it is always nice to see you just talk for a while. I just got Obsession last week, I've played it 2 and a half times (it is set up on the table ready to complete but life...). I hope to play the hell out of it this month!
I want to let you know how much I appreciated this video. I've always wondered how do content creators such as yourself find the time to do this while still maintaining a regular 9 to 5. My 9 to 5, which is in the culinary field, doesn't allow me time to think about board games at all, let alone participate in any social media conversation. And I'm doing it all, the filming, the learning of the rules, etc. It's a lot of work! But in the end I love this hobby! And you two are by far one of my favorite board game content creators. You guys are so natural together. It was great meeting you guys at PAXU. And again thank you so much for this video.
As the game buyer/rules learner in my circle of friends, I can relate to the pressure of getting the rules right. Recently, however, I've relaxed a bit because I realized getting the odd rule wrong here or there is a given....and part of the fun. We had a big laugh over the fact that we've been playing the Red Cathedral wrong due to one small rules mistake. (My fault!) Oh well. The game was still fun. Monique, you are such an excellent teacher. Please don't be too hard on yourself! Naveen, didn't know you were a Gunners' fan. What dishes (other than salmon risotto) do you like to cook? I love it that Dexter is barking and knocking over lamps. More Dexter, please! As always, thanks for another great video!
Thanks so much for this video! Great episode! I will be at DTW and looking forward to meeting y’all and hopefully get in a game with you! It’s just a little over a couple weeks away! WhooHoo!
I’m curious what you both do for a living? Sounds like Naveen does something in health care cause I remember him saying something about clinical rotations and in this video managing comments between patients. I’m curious because I’m a pharmacist and it’s always nice seeing other health care professionals in the hobby!
You can absolutely leave the Dexter sounds in the videos and I’ll be just as happy 😊 he’s part of the channel too! He just wants his spotlight from time to time!
I really enjoy your chatty videos! Pickomino is my favourite thinky filler - it's chaotic and can have a lot of really fun player interaction. Designed by Reiner Knizia I believe :)
Thanks for the vid and the Q&A! If you two are a fan of Onitama, then the recent Light & Shadow expansion may be of interest as it introduces hidden movement. (I have not watched your Top 50 series yet, but will soon. Still catching up on videos.) :)
Great video! Love to get a glimpse into your personal lives and opinions. Dexter is adorable! A unique group hidden movement game is Captain Sonar…fun with the right group of people (isn’t that always the case?).

What did you guys studied? and whats are your jobs? I had no idea you both wake up at 6am to record, its incredible, I love you both.
Great video! I haven't played many hidden movement games, but I was gifted Mind MGMT from my BGG Secret Santa, and it is AMAZING. I can't recommend it enough. The only drawback is that I think it's sweet spot is 3 players.
You guys are just awesome!! Can't have enough of your channel 🤗 and you make a really great team ☺️ I'm curious (and I see 2 other people asked the same question 🙈) : what do you do for a living? Take care, and enjoy the conventions :)
Bus is amazing! Definitely a top 3 game for me. Its a minimum 3 player game and plays perfect at 3, so if you ever get a chance ya'll gotta try it out!
Iceland 🇮🇸 is so beautiful and is where I am from, live in Australia now (very different). Glad you both enjoyed your experience there, honestly no place like it.
I am with you Naveen, I never have won at Scythe to my boyfriend and I often feel like I am really doing well, but I end up losing. It's a bit frustrating...!
Splotter games are so fun (granted, I only have one play of most of them, but those single plays have been awesome)! I hope you can get ahold of some to play them!
I must sample this amazing Guac! Do you guys plan on doing a play through of Bot Factory? I believe it is similar to or a lighter version of the Kanban board game.
I absolutely love Ark Nova, but I personally don't see it as a Terraforming Mars killer. It plays so well at 2, and has such a great action choice system. The similarities with TM, is that there's lots of cards, and some cards have requirements ("tags") to play. But apart from that, they are very different games in my opinion. And the theme is amazing. 🐘
Another fun hidden movement game if you don’t mind the theme would be Narcos, would be fun seeing you guys duking it out as cops vs cartel leader on your channel 😂
Looking forward to seeing you at AireCon. If you’re into the history of the places you visit then you must try to get to York while you’re in the vicinity (AireCon is less than 30 minutes away). It has strong connections to both the Vikings and Romans, plus there are streets there between 800 and 1,000 years old and Yorkminster is truly impressive (on a par with Notre Dame IMO).
I want to second this, York is a lovely city and Yorkminster is probably the most interesting cathedral I have ever visited. Also if you like tapas I highly recommend Ambiente. P.S. I will also be at AireCon, looking forward to seeing you guys in person!
As far as hidden movement games go: I'm a big fan of Letters from Whitechapel, but I do have a tough time getting it to the table because the game can run a bit long (2+ hours). It's a pure hidden movement game. At two players, it can be a quiet, tense game of cat and mouse. With three players, it feels a little different as it introduces chatter between the two players playing as the police. Some people think it's fine with more than 3, but I think 2-3 is the sweet spot. Whitehall Mystery is kind of an abbreviated version of the game- but because it removes the begin-game elements of the police casting a wide net to find an initial trail, I do prefer the longer Letters from Whitechapel. I do have Restoration Games' Stop Thief! as well. There are lots of game modes you can play- including one where a player can be the thief.
Naveen, if you love the Lakers, have you been watching Winning Time on HBO? I watch more college basketball, but that’s a really fun, well-done show, and I don’t think you even need to love basketball to enjoy it. (I know you guys have said you don’t watch a ton of TV…)
Hello Before you play :) , i really like what you do and I am really waiting each of your videos. You re clearly my favorites gaming channel and that will not change for a lot time regarding how it is good. I have a question, perhaps personnal, after listening to this one : you repeat a few times that you travel a lot. How do you feel about obvious global warming threat and the fact that you use probably planes for some of your travels. Will it impact your plan for the close future (gamings convention..) ? I am not judgmental here, everybody does what he want but I m interested to hear your point of view. Feel free to ignore my question and please excuse me if the form of the question is not correct or offensive, it will not be on purpose, that is not my natural language.
I'd watch you play Pandemic Legacy. If you're having a hard time squeezing it in, maybe that's a way to justify it. If you warn folks ahead of time that the whole thing is a spoiler, maybe you could do it? Out of curiosity, how far are you into it?
Splotters - not only heavy and long, but also eeeh.. ugly as hell.😉 but indeed, excellent games. In person got only one FCM, but got chance to play the Great Zimbabwe as well.. good choice definitely! Thanks for content btw! Love to hear and watch👍
- I was so excited for your Fog of Love playthrough until Naveen said he didn't like roleplaying!? That may make the game too mechanical if you don't add any amount of acting/improv. - Underwater Cities is a really great game! - I agree with Naveen on Scythe. I realize I don't prefer games that end suddenly as a race because you always feel like you could do so much more but then the game ends and it's maddening.
You guys are still producing the best play through content of anyone out there! Keep it up!
Thanks for the great content. Definitely my favorite play through series, love it all.

Wow, thanks! So glad you found our channel. So many great titles for you to discover!!
My husband and I started Clank Legacy this month without ever having played Clank before. Not a problem at all- highly recommend!
Awesome video! Thank you for being open and sharing more about yourselves. You are my favorite board game channel and I love the calm way you teach and play through games. Keep up the excellent work!
Thanks so much!, it continues to be so much fun!!

Heyyy, my question made the cut! Good answers all around, thanks for all the hard work!

wow. huge respect for all the effort. I was caught of guard hearing all the work and sacrifices you do for this to work.
Just wanted to say my girlfriend and I bought Spirit Island because of your top 50 videos and are currently playing the hell out of it. Thank you!
So glad you are enjoying it! We absolutely love it and it plays so well at 2 players!!

We really enjoy your playthrough even though we are not heavy gamers 🤣 but the ones we could enjoy we learn from you! Keep up the good work!
Great to hear from you both! Love it when Dexter makes an appearance 🙂
Great video, thanks both. Looking forward to meeting you both at Airecon although Arsenal? Have to speak to you about that one Naveen!
Hi Rob, that's exciting! Haha Arsenal can't seem to break through...
Thanks so much for this video! Great episode! I will be at DTW and looking forward to meeting y’all and hopefully get in a game with you! It’s just a little over a couple weeks away! WhooHoo!

Was gonna ask the same question :)
I love your channel even more now that I know Naveen is a Niner Fan!!!! #BayArea
I knew I liked you Naveen, good to know you are a fellow Arsenal supporter!
5:30am? That is dedication!
I would love to see and hear more Dexter in your videos - he's adorable ❤️
Dexter avoids the lights at all cost lol.
Same. If he barks, don't edit it out
You can absolutely leave the Dexter sounds in the videos and I’ll be just as happy 😊 he’s part of the channel too! He just wants his spotlight from time to time!
Your VLOGs are some of my favorite content y'all put out...I've been wanting to attempt a risotto. Naveen, any tips for making the perfect risotto?
The spider great descent near the plant at 40:30, though i had a small bug on my screen 😅
Okay we are officially doomed! Time to sell the house and move!! lol
I really enjoy your chatty videos! Pickomino is my favourite thinky filler - it's chaotic and can have a lot of really fun player interaction. Designed by Reiner Knizia I believe :)

Thanks for getting on top of the Uwe series. Really looking forward to Caverna and Feast, my #1 of all time!!!💯
You guys always feel like you are behind, but you guys go at a perfect pace!!!! 🙂
Love your stuff. Keep it up. Would love to teach you guys a game one day as you've taught me so many.
You two are way too likeable. Great stuff!
Great video!
Thank you!!
My neighbour had a vizsla, they have a lot of energy (they are usually used for hunting), so you need a garden with a higher fence.
Highly recommend Enchanted Plumes for a "thinky filler".
Thanks for the recommendation Chris! I'll check it out on BGG.
Great video! Love all your content.
For hidden movement, you guys have to try Whitehall Mystery if you haven't tried it yet. It can be played two player, cops vs. bad guy.
QUESTION: Any chance you will cover filler games again?
Haha we love our fillers, hopefully we can get some more back on the schedule in the near future!
Woo hoo! See you on the AireCon bus next month!
No Way!!! How exciting, it's going to be so much fun!!
Well done, big fan.
I absolutely love Ark Nova, but I personally don't see it as a Terraforming Mars killer. It plays so well at 2, and has such a great action choice system. Looking forward meeting you both at Dice Tower West!
Edit: I'll bring chocolate.
Aww I think we missed each other! :-(
Another fun hidden movement game if you don’t mind the theme would be Narcos, would be fun seeing you guys duking it out as cops vs cartel leader on your channel 😂
I'd really be keen to see you review some of Phil Eklund's games. I realize he has some out there ideas, but as a game designer, he is fascinating.
Looking forward to hear your reaction to Underwater Cities. I think it could be slightly too light for you. I love it though.
Looking forward to seeing you at AireCon. If you’re into the history of the places you visit then you must try to get to York while you’re in the vicinity (AireCon is less than 30 minutes away). Super chilled out, rambles a lot and supports Arsenal, are you literally me?
As far as hidden movement games go:
I'm a big fan of Letters from Whitechapel, but I do have a tough time getting it to the table because the game can run a bit long (2+ hours). It's a pure hidden movement game. I do have Restoration Games' Stop Thief! as well. There are lots of game modes you can play- including one where a player can be the thief.
Now you need to do "top 10 genres of animals"
Haha so many 'animal genres' to choose from!
Do you guys have any plans of doing a playthrough of brass birmingham?
What is the name of your book that came out? I’ve been looking everywhere and can’t find it.
Let's go Niners! But Naveen is a Gooner, we are Liverpool here!
Im thinking about going to strategicon. Itll be my first time. Any tips? Also, can we reserve playtime with you lol
Would love to have your Guacamole recipe
Naveen, if you love the Lakers, have you been watching Winning Time on HBO? I watch more college basketball, but that’s a really fun, well-done show, and I don’t think you even need to love basketball to enjoy it. (I know you guys have said you don’t watch a ton of TV…)

For thinky fillers... have you tried Arboretum?

Hey guys! Why don't you switch position sometimes... It would be fun to see Monique in place of Naveen and vice versa! :)
Naveen, are you a SF Bay Area native? Wondering since you’re a 49ers fan.
Love your channel, btw.

Where are you from? Los Angeles? I'm a Big Fan of your channel . Greetings from Germany ❤️
Naveen the man!
See, the thing about Arsenal is they always try to walk it in.
Naveen lookin' sharp. New shirt?
At least you can just source all the Feld games from Daniel.
Haha so true! I'm pretty sure he has every single one lol
lol, it was a fiasco!
Monique! You MUST play Underwater Cities. I think it will skyrocket into your top 20, if not higher.
No, play Teotihuacan!
I'm like Naveen where I miss the NBA of the past. I kind of stopped watching about 10+ years ago.
First!!!
Technically no... haha
Booo Arsenal! C'mon Spurs!
Love the video and your channel! I don't know how often you check in to BBG, but I sent you a Geekmail there, re: Splotter Games. 😊
