Dame is a disgruntled asshole. He started Rockafella with drug money from the streets. As the label grew, largely thru Jay-Z's hits, everyone else matured and handled business more professionally. Dame maintained a hood, street approach to corporate level business, which is never allowed. He became more difficult to work with and they parted ways. No one wants to work with an asshole.

Dame’s analogy does not make sense, he is indicating that HE gave Jay something, and Jay robbed him. The facts are they had a business together, and Jay wanted out. He was willing to allow them to keep all of it, rocawear, rocafella, and his masters, if Dame gave him Reasonable doubt masters.
Dame said no, so Jay threatened to disassociate himself with anything related to rocafella, which would have devalued the label and clothing line to nothing. Dame got scared and sold everything for crackhead prices before Jay walked away from them, but instead of walking away, Jay then flipped the clothing line for 208 million. He also flipped the record label to get all of his masters back, which included him working for Defjam. That’s business, Dame wanted to eat off of Jay forever and control him so that he could be the a boss. Jay said you can be a boss but just without me. As we can see nothing good has happened for dame since Jay left him.

They put in work and had tremendous success young before having a level of emotional intelligence to communicate their grievances. Jay is a borderline introvert and an introvert boss is going to be more about it than talk about it. That isn’t a bad thing unless you’re fed up with people in the inner circle and whoever it is has more hostile way of communicating. An introvert isn’t going to be arguing all the time.
A young Hov more than likely felt he was taking the path of least resistance. Dame more of the type that’s going to speak his mind regardless whom or what. But true wisdom isn’t reflecting back too much of what “they” did but more on the lines of what “I” could’ve done differently. The wiser you get it’s like that story of the 2 bulls on top that of that hill. You can walk down and have it your way vs being anxious for the next play.
It’s important to have solid OG’s to tell you when you’re buggin. If Dame had more money than some of the OG’s per his own words he dint really have respect for them like that. Theres some monks, sages, and Grand Masters out there with modest finances who have tremendous game and are still wealthy in their own right. Real Game recognize game.

History doesn't lie, Dame got lucky when he came across Jay Z and took full advantage of that luck and I don't doubt worked his nuts off to get things off the ground intially. The problem was Dame forgot how lucky he had gotten and started to believe that he was something special and he was way more intelligent than he actually was which has played out in everything he's done post Rockafella and I guess led to the situation he's in now which allegedly is that he can't pay a $2400 fine. He has never been able to recreate any of that early success he had despite numerous attempts which is why he is now the equivalent of a Z lister doing the podcast circuit talking about stuff he did thirty years as ago because that is his only relevance. In all honesty his vibe nowadays is that of a bitter old man who refuses to let go of a past life that he no longer has and is angry about.
