If any of you are actually interested in creating one of these sorters and work with inches,
below is a listing of the "centimeters" as shown in the video converted to inches.
They are set to 1/64", but you can get as close as you want and I'm sure everything will work just fine.
Note: Be cautious when cutting out the "coin drop slots". Don't cut too high!!
    From smallest to largest:
    1.50 cm = 19/32"
    2.00 cm = 25/32"
    2.50 cm = 63/64"
    4.50 cm = 1-49/64"
    6.00 cm = 2-23/64"
    7.00 cm = 2-3/4"
    7.50 cm = 2-61/64"
    10.0 cm = 3-15/16"
    10.2 cm = 4-1/64"
    14.0 cm = 5-33/64"
    16.0 cm = 6-19/64"
    50.0 cm = 19-11/16"
I'm thinking of making one, but I will be changing some of the parts.
If I can, I'll post a description of what I've done.

HINT: About the boxes which will hold the sorted coins --- You might want to surround the entire box "set" with 1/4" thick strips of 1/2" to 3/4" wide glued or screwed wood strips. These will hold the boxes in place while using the sorter and will allow the removal of the boxes when complete (the width of the base may need to be a bit wider). I think I will try this sorter out for my Grand-daughter for Christmas.
"The Q" - By the way...what DIA. or R. did you make the center "paste board" (...brown) circle? (4:03)
It looks like it really doesn't have to be exact, but I'd like to use the same dimension as you did.

This comment was added in here just as a product suggestion for those of you who need a sturdy, flat surface for projects like the one above. I was at our local "Dollar Tree" store (everything is a dollar) and ran across some clipboards. They measured 1/8" x 9" x 11" of useful surface. There is a steel clip at the top which would take your nails off if you're not careful ! (Use it as a clamp). 1/8" is a nice size for those smaller projects. They are made from sort of brown, fibrous mat'l. Let me know if you find any.

You should make the boxes taller from left to right. It will prevent the coins falling into the wrong boxes and also smaller value coins are usually more than higher ones, meaning more space for these at the same time.

OneLove ™ No, the closest hole is for the 10 cents so when they pass by it they fall down, and the other ones pass, then when they reach the 25 cent hole, the 25 cents fall through that hole, and so on.

This is really cool. Something to do with your kid on a weekend. The biggest issue is that he was trying to solve the problem of counting how much money he had. This machine, while great for sorting, doesn’t count. He’s still going to have to go through each box and count them and then add it all up. Definitely cool, but spending time and money to add another step?
