  • Table top review & installation of the Magpul ACS stock (mag370). Street price $80-85 dollars. Side compartment battery storage and integrated storage compartment. Friction locking mechanism similar to the Magpul CTR, keeps the stock rock solid with no wobble. Available in black, fde and wolf gray.

    I think the door is on that side because almost everyone lays their gun down on the left side. Because of the forward assist and shell deflector.

      Also, think about the fact the vast majority of shooters are right handed... So the left side of the stock is going to be pressed against your body, getting jolted and making friction against your chest or whatever with every shot. Why would you want the opening mechanism/ edges of a trap door there getting constantly worn against?

    BT52: ACS/STR Picatinny Rail Adapter for mono pod. That is what that little removable piece at the bottom of the butt stock is for. B&T Industries, L.L.C. the makers of Accu-Shot Mono Pods and Atlas Bipods is the only one that offers the rail adapter thus far.

    The plastic bullet tip broke off. Used a metal punch to install the stock, easy peezy.

    Also, if the stock had another door on the rear left, then you could remove both and have a more skeletonized look. I wouldn't do that, but some people might like the option.

    I know this vid is four years old but the part at the bottom is removable to install a metal strike plate. Your thumbnail for this video actually shows it installed. Probably exclusive to military/LEO contracts.

    That bottom panel on that stock will slide right out. I removed mine to see what I might be able to do with mine. I've found that MOE picatinny rail sections would basically drop right in but I didn't want to cut up any of the sections I had at the time. I was recently looking around online and found 3-slot rail sections that would fit fine if you milled the bottom down on both sides. Like you were saying, I was thinking of adding a monopod option myself. It's just wasted non-functional space as it sits.

    With the firearm is slung across your chest you can open the door much easier the way it is currently

    Door on the right side was most likely placed there to avoid the door latch from snagging on clothes or gear and opening.

    Battery capacity: Three 123A or Two AA Batteries in both left and right storage tubes. The batteries will rattle so stuff a small rag behind them to implement noise discipline.

    The sling mount on the butt of the stock is for a 1.25” sling. Albeit a 1” sling would fit “loosely.” 1.25” sling is the way to go in my opinion.

    wearing a 2 point sling it is easier to rotate the rifle counter clockwise to access the storage door than it is to go clockwise as it would be too close to the ribs.

    I just ordered a ACS L as we have few options for ODG stocks :(

    Don't think it makes a difference what side the door is on because if you're digging in that storage for anything their rifle should not be ready to fire anyways

    • @botcrack
      @botcrack 4 роки тому +1

      Plus, that door is only for storing loose Skittles. Can't dig for Skittles in the middle of a fire fight, that's just ridiculous.

    • @coreybutler9351

      With suitable cover and possibly even somebody to cover your six, then you could most certainly dig for loose Skittles in the middle of a fire fight.

    Why isn't an ODG COLOR for the ACS carbine model. ODG blends in the forest more than FDE and heats up less than BLACK.

    Having trouble installing the stock. The bullet broke as I was trying to use it as a lever. Tried other tools as well and it still won't budge past where the button will send it.

      Me, too.
      Too bad the video doesn't include "install" as stated.
      I got around the issue by pulling up on the pin from a totally different angle. Sticking the tool inside the center hole didn't work at all.

      You ever get it on?

    • @theninjatony907
      @theninjatony907 4 роки тому +1

      I had to actually pull the unit down with a flat head screwdriver once I pushed the button to pull it down then I was able to get mine on.

    • @Slippindisc
      @Slippindisc 4 роки тому

      theninjatony907 so if you push up on the stock adjustment lever, you’ll see there’s a little cylinder that goes up and down with the lever that is the actual lock. There’s a hole in the front and back of said cylinder. If you take a small Phillips head screwdriver or a punch that will fit into said hole, and operate the Adjustment lever at the same time, you can get the cylinder to come up further than the lever will allow it to, and you’ll be able to get it on and off. It’s easier and less likely to damage the stock than using a flathead too pry on the little pegs on the sides.

    • @Slippindisc
      @Slippindisc 4 роки тому

      theninjatony907 on looking at it again, Instead if from memory, the cylinder I’m talking about is the one underneath the friction lock lever that keeps the stock from wobbling. Press down on the ejection lever, and look under the ffrictuon lock and you’ll see this little metal piece and the holes on the front, and either sides that you can slip a small Phillips head or Allen wrench into in order to lift up the cylinder

      I don't know much about airsoft, but assuming your rifle uses a milspec buffer tube like the AR, then, yes it should fit.
