I tried the bandaid trick in two ways: 1. Put it underneath the straps (they were the same width). 2. Put it on my toes where the rubbing takes place. I walked 1.3 miles in these open-toe sandals and it didn't work AT ALL. I ended up with huge blisters.

Yep the socks, and the hair dryer shortens the breakin time. Just did this 2 days ago with a pair of boots with a very shallow instep. Actually dampening the fabric on the shoe and walk around for a bit works too.
I have no problem with heels but I'm gonna remember these advices still! High heels are my favorite shoes! So beautiful, girly, sexy and sweet, perfect shoes for me.

vaseline works really well to prevent blisters, just put it on the area where the shoe is causing friction, i need to reapply it after 3 to 4 hours, bandaids always fall off and inserts make the shoe too tight,,,, insolia is the best high heel insert, they know its good because a pair of insolia inserts used to be $10 now they are going for $20, i do not endorse insolia its a good product and i wish I would have heard of them sooner, i think they are being greedy charging 2 times as much because you have to buy a pair of inserts for each pair of heels, the adhesive is really strong my insolia inserts have never came off the shoe, it is amazing how much pain relief they bring, a really good product, my only beef is the price, $10 is expensive but fair because they work well, $20 is being greedy
These tricks are good, but the worst part of wearing heels for me is how all my body weight is on my toes so they get really sore. Any tips?I LOVE wearing heels but I can't because of the pain :(
Thanku soooooo much for these really helpful tips. I used a baby oil for a tight pair of shoes and the result was amazing becoz earlier whenever I would wear those shoes my feet would hurt the whole day but with this tip there was no pain. thanks !!

Why do I get instant pain in the back of lower ankle ? I believe it's because i put all of my pressure on my ankle which is hard not to do in order to stand .Is it my stance? I see so many gorgeous shoes it's tough to work my way up due to impatience and not being able to afford to buy so many different types. Is it possible to go big or go home and improve? Also, why the heel pain? I believe I'm beyond foreign in stilettos but I love them so much 😫
