I’ve brought a fake in the past, I’ve never been able to afford designer brands and probably never will but I can dream. I’m 36 and nicest place I’ve ever brought bags from is *suluxs* lol 😂
I agree 100%! People buy luxury brand names for status and quality. If people cannot afford, they should just use regular shoes and/or clothing. This video is so INSULTING to me because I am a collector of the finer things in life. It's such a disappointment when you UA-camrs do stupid videos like this!
@@ElleV2021 This video isn't the best example but I'll do other things to look designer, like buying high quality knock offs or second hand designer. Hell, I've even painted the bottom of my shoes red too. No, I "cannot afford" and no I won't "use regular shoes and/or clothing". In the end, I get the same compliments you do but I'm not paying the price and it sounds like that pisses you off. Lol.... Lolol.....
A tip if you want to use glitter: after you pour the glitter on top of the mod podge, let it dry completely, and then do another coat of mod podge on top of the glitter(like a top coat!). That way it holds up longer and you will have little to no glitter falling off.
Wow! I have a pair of old, discolored pumps. Was going to discard them but now, I'm going to revamp them. A tip to make gemstones stick is to use a dab of clear nail polish & they have to be swarovski crystals NOT the cheap plastic ones because then they lose their sparkle.
I have been making over my shoes and have tried various glues. The gems n stones do not stay very long. They come off because the surface of shoes is not flat n during a wear shoes gets scratches and stuff.

@Nonaya Bidness plus the cost of the Mod Podge and possibly second hand shoes to make the project with. It really depends on the situation: whether a style like that is available for purchase at the time the person "needs" it, the person's existing craft supply collection (like if they happen to have everything lying around already or if they need to get some or all the supplies and how affordable those are), and the person's financial situation. You're definitely right that even fake gold foil is not cheap!
Great video, need more like this. I’d have more respect for someone who took the time to do this and figured out how to do it well, than someone who just sits around and pines for a pair of shoes that could be another persons month’s rent.
I really like the scarf idea for the first ones. But I'm not so into the golden bottoms. Maybe if it was sealed correctly and I knew it wasn't going to rub off 5 minutes after I leave the house. Oof, the second leopard print pair just looks like a mess and a half. Doesn't look appealing at all Don't even get me started about the red glittered ones... The gold leaf ones I really wanted to like, but they look like a messy arts and crafts projects in all honesty.
This person is creative and the shoes are chic, funky, and gorgeous! To someone with very little money who gets shoes from a thrift store, this video is on spot! I commend this individual for work well-done. This trolling and hating is unreal.
These are good Ideas but they're done so tackily with things like glitter they should be multi layered with glues or holding sprays and for fabrics they should be folded over the edge for a more smoother look for people whom pay close attention to shoes and detail they would instantly notice the ridged and unevenness but that's just my take I was amused enough to watch and criticize my opinion to the world lol
These shoes seem to be decorated with a craft glue. I’ve had shoes done in England where an artist used fabric, as well as beautiful bows and trim. He also did skates, etc. Professionally done shoes are worth it.
It looks like she’s actually using fabric tech which I don’t know if you’ve used that but I’m telling you what you can’t even rip it apart. It’s good for leather vinyl paper cardboard all types of fabric. Dries😊 quick too.
I did something similar with a pair of cheap, off brand pointe shoes. Covered them with sequin mesh just for decoration. Other pairs I painted using acrylic paint mixed with craft glue and a little hot water. Trimmed with lace, beads, some with glitter although even sealed the glitter didn't stay well. We used them as decoration at the dance wear store where I worked, they were too hard and the sizing was weird so they really weren't good for anything other than crafts.
The paint will be gone at the first walk on the steet. It s useless. And the material will be ugly were it s cut. To be ok must be glued before you put the sole...so it s under it. It looks good only on youtube
@@GabrielleTollerson well then 30 something millennials are now out of touch Karens. Maybe you're the one who needs to get outta the basement since that's all you can afford.
Some really good ideas and solutions but with the "Old Heels", a bit over-board and not well thought through as far as application is concerned. What good is it to have such extravagent heels when the front looks so dowdy in comparison?
Some of these are cute and a lot of them are tacky but you need to seal the ones that have glitter the glitter will just fall off and you can clearly see that in the video the glitter was just falling off everywhere
0:30..... black gold leaves shoes and 2:16...the black lace ones looks good... Though painted soles would most prob render the heels to be an even more of a fall risk...

Only good ones were the first pair where the shoes actually looked better after the revamp. With those, very well done! The rest look cheap and sloppy. Would wear the first pair. The others are all hard passes.
These are actually good creations, in my own opinion. I kinda think that the sequenced heart heels are quite weird. I think it would have been better if the sequence would have just been aligned uniformly. But overall i love how they look, all of it were so creative❤❤❤

You can see the glitter falling off in this video. You would be lucky to get through one night without losing it all
🤣🤣🤣🤣right
You need to coat also the top of the glitters to sealing them in place. It works! 😊

You can capsule it with epoxy resin

If you can't afford Swarovski search for glass or rhinestones for blinging.

Try to use glue that is meant for gems, I use Schmuckstein Kreul, it keeps gems and stones equally great on fabric and leather.
Maybe also a spray mod podge afterwards
