Thanks for another great video! You've reminded me it's past time to descale -- I will do that today! (I think you used a "tablespoon", not a "teaspoon" :)

When the descale icon shows up, do you have to descale it right away? Like, will it force you to? Or can you make a coffee and descale it after? I know some machines simply won't function unless you descale/flush them when it tells you to. Not really something fun to deal with right before work, lol, and without a coffee first.

Thanks to your video on how to take apart my barista express I managed to unblock my pump and get it working again, but in the process I think I damaged a solenoid. Prior to cleaning the pump out there was very low to no flow coming from any part of the machine and the pump went very quiet.
Since I put it back together the pump is now working again and I get steam from the wand and boiling water, but nothing comes out of the group, it just goes out of the purge valve into the drip tray. Do you think this is a solenoid issue? I checked all pipes and none are blocked now

If you get backflush then solenoid maybe ok. But I'm not sure. But the sign is like there is some clogs on the pipe to group head. Don't you get even a drop of water through group head?. Also are you sure you got all the connections correctly placed?
I would also run some descale solution through it, few cycles to see if i get some drops of water out

Hey man! Thanks for the useful videos! I was wondering something and i thought you might help me out.
Should i still replace the water filter after three months or so if i use bottled water?

    • @AjusCafe

It is recommended to replace when you descale the machine. But if you are using bottled water, you don't need to use the water filter really. But if there is any taste difference, you can use the filter.

Will you do one on Barista Express? I use filtered water. Just have light on for cleaning group head.

I’ve been having my Sage barista pro for over 1,5 years now and today it told me to descale for the first time. Weird right….?!
    Anybody else had that experience?

That reminds me that mine never showed Descale yet. Its more than 6 months now. But i use filtered water. Do you use filtered water too?

    • @Sushicake666

@@AjusCafe Nope. I use regular tap water but I do always use the claro Swiss filter but it is still weird because here in Denmark we have ridiculously hard water with a lot of scale and minerals…?

@@Sushicake666 oh then you should Descale regularly atleast once in 3 months. Else there will be lot of calcium build-up
