Lots of people are having this question/problem, so I thought I'd help.
I called Breville because the water was coming out of the group head during flush. It's because of the wrong silicone plug. If yours has a hole in it, call Breville, and they will send you a solid plug free of charge.
Flush will work properly after. This is a fuckup by Breville (giving the small hole plug)
Edit: just to clarify, I have the pro and it came with the silicone plug with a hole.

can i use bottomless portafikter to do the flush?
My cleaning disk came with a hole in it for my pro. I notice yours does not have a hole in it.
Whenever I do a flush the water comes out the portafilter very little comes out the bottom tray.
They changed the design of the silicone screen. It now has a whole in it. When I called in, the guy told me that the hole version is bad and sent me a solid silicone plug, free of charge.
Flush worked great after that.
