Someone asked about how to add image data and locating points issue. The detailed steps will be presented as the following. Step1: please click "Add Layer" button on "Standard" toolbar. Then you can choose a raster data or vector data and add the layer directly. Step2: add locating points (XY data) to create a DBF file or an Excel file with the coordinates of the point features you would like to add. You can click "Tools" menu on the top menu bar and click "Add XY Data." The function, "adding XY data", can help us to export the data to the map and also create a point layer on the map. How can I transform coordinate from one system to another while matching two different data sources? I would be better if you could do it without transformation tool.
+Sunil Luhun Rai If some of the datasets have different projected coordinate systems, you still can also just add them to the map without data alignment worries. GIS software will automatically make the layers overlay using a process called "on-the fly projection."
+Sunil Luhun Rai SuperGIS Desktop (SGD) can automatically fit to display layer in one coordinate system as if it was in another coordinate system. This is called on-the-fly projection. For example, if you add a layer that has the same geographic coordinate system but with a different projected coordinate system, SGD will perform an on-the-fly projection and convert the data to the data layer's projected coordinate system. The layers will overlay properly. If, however, you try to add a layer that has a different geographic coordinate system, SGD may not be able to properly align the data. SGD can still project the data on the fly results, but it cannot longer guarantee perfect alignment. For perfect data alignment, you need to apply a transformation to make the geographic coordinate systems match. You can get a free trial from our website: www.supergeotek.com/download_6_desktop.aspx
