I am so Grateful to have a Brother growing up with him & my other brother me being the Oldest. The Era we lived in the Music 🎶 was so Awesome 70s & 80 and so on So proud of Stanley's accomplishments To the world 🌎 Love you guy's
I totally agree with that summation stanley is that most greatest bass player a live and is in the top 5 of all time bass players. I think his innovations have placed him in a category of his own.
Go Stanley go! You were the first bassist that I heard who could paint romantic pictures with the bass, and you're still doing it! Thank you for your contribution to the music world!
The great Stanley Clarke. I've been blessed to see him in the 80's with his band in Berkeley, Community Theater. Then with Return to Forever in S.F. with Chick Corea, Al Di Meola, and Lenny White. Incredible. Mingo Lewis, of Al's band and Santana, was in the audience and got up on stage and played a couple tunes. Nice surprise. Then I saw Stanley with his band at Yoshi's Jazz Club in Oakland. A small intimate theater, a very special show. What a genius and talent. As displayed here. A world 🌎 treasure ✨ 💖. Thanks Stan the man!
I really love the bass guitar, most play Fenders or others, but Stanley is playing Alembic which has at least in my opinion the most pleasing sound,i really like the sound of the Alembic bass guitar.
Mike Mitchell - what a beast!!! Stanley's alembic sounds amazing in his hands and Beka Gochiasvilli is killing it on keys too at 19:35. Good sound in this gig.. thanks for the upload!.
hahaha the first song! It's funny cuz at first I saw him with his electrick bass so I guessed he'll start with school days, but then I heard a little space intro so I tought maybe not.. but guess which theme I heard next.. hahahahaha he's never going to stop playing it. You know what else's funny? the way he rock when he play this song, and the way he's just so smooth with the other song
When the staff are such "stans" (pun intended) they don't get that you've repeatedly asked them to turn on your mic! Lol Love how he just forges on without getting all "diva" :-)
? I mean.. Hopefully he redeems himself later in the gig, but very quickly into the First keyboard player playing i thought he should of been sacked!! Let's see how it goes.. Ok, 16mins in he Does Redeem himself and remains so! Wicked playing! It's as if he wasn't Hearing The Right notes before? Great gig.. Drummer's sick
Such a pleasure...
This interpretation of Good Bye Pork Pie Hat must be one of the most pleasant piece of music I've ever heard. Filled with soul.
Maybe the best version of this song I have ever heard. A wonderful piece of music.
Stanley Clarke is a bass player's bass player . . The Master
I grew up in the 70s and I think that(60 -70s)was the Golden age of music and I'm thankful to have lived and heard such awesome music!
40 plus years later and Stanley Clarke is still the greatest bass player on the planet
He’a great, but definitely not the greatest. This topic remains highly subjective

Michael Mitchell sounds a lot like the great Tony Williams . . Nice work
Glad you enjoyed it! Keep following to our channel!
Mitchell is good, but he sounds nothing like Tony Williams, in my humble opinion!
😎
@@virgilrobertsjr7870 Agreed--NOTHING like Tony Williams. Not saying one is better or cooler than the other, but dang, NOTHING like each other.
Good bye Pork Pie Hat! on aurait dit Jeff Beck au démarrage! belle interprétation!

not piccolo bass, not tenor bass, not vocals. stanley doing what he does best playing the goood old 4 string bass with a bad assba nd...sublime
sorry he play with tenor tuning
the only true jazz bassist alive. the rest combine his playing with Larry graham and fake like they are original.

all this band needs is a bass player and it'll be awesome.

Beka Gochiashvili on piano/keyboards, Cameron Graves on keyboards
Chic Corea was the one, presenting him in Tblissi, 4 handed 😁😜

Super Konzert, aber hat der Tontechniker geschlafen? (Mikrofon bei School Days)
👑👑👑👑
Dead mic! If you don't need to go wireless, DON'T!
the drummers snares and cymbals are too loud and annoying
his drummer is bad..... another Max Roach!!!
I hate the drummer. He plays too much and too loud, especially in Goodbye Pork Pie Hat
