Jesse's early 2000's Discovery shows inspired me deeply. I have three kids who are welders, I have tools that I saw on Monster Garage. I saw my first plasma cutter on Monster Garage ... and now I have my own, and we have a home-based fabrication business. I often reflect on Monster Garage and how the fire to create and build was stoked by that show. Thanks, Jesse!

Dude this literally explains, with also the inheritance of wisdom and knowledge passed down from my great great grandfather to my great grandfather,my grandfather and to my father. Why I am so obsessed with being a mechanic and working on things.building things, USING YOUR HANDS. Like I have a burning desire to build and growing up watching monster garage, pimp my ride, it wasn’t the show or the flashiness or money, it was the creativity and the mechanics, painters, welders, all the diversity and coming together. To make and do something great, how can that not be inspirirable to anyone

If you watch from the 1:06 mark he completely takes responsibility for everything and says that it was all his fault that he caused this whole tornado and drove himself to rehab. Think of how many of us have done terrible stupid things in our youths or all the youths that grow up in bad neighborhoods that do really bad. Things because of the bad association they're around he was no different. "Bad association spoils useful habits" 1 Cor.15:33. I'm not saying the guy doesn't obviously need some serious adjustments. But it's hard to judge someone if you haven't walked in their shoes and grown up like them and he became so big so famous, wealthy in such a short period of time that it definitely can go to your head and cause narcissism. Which can be hard to get away from and stay humble. Pride is before a crash says the proverb and this definitely was true in his case as it is for all of us.

Ya know, I appreciate how Jesse takes a look back on life and trying to explain how fun his early life was, without many cares. On the other hand, I've always had a sense of right and wrong with always vacant parenting and would never have done the stupid things that Jesse is laughing about. I have been a trades person since joining the US Navy at 17 year old and judging from this interview and some of the comments, I think he's a very irresponsible and irrational person. I am 61 now and can relate to his regrets and I do hope that he changes his life for the better, but I don't have any respect for him knowing what I've seen of him in this interview. I can now understand how Sandra Bullock decided to drop him like a rock.

Very scary when you watch someone behave so calm cool and seemingly benign and yet underneath all that he’s plotting every move. It’s truly scary. Never EVER make the life wasting mistake of thinking you can change someone like this. Never EVER belief you’re that special. No one but God is going to change someone who feels that innately entitled to have EVERYTHING they want in life even if it’s at your expense! She’s not my favorite person but Why.....WHY on earth did he ever marry Sandra? He KNEW he was letting her believe he was somebody else and he knew he was never going to be that guy. He’s brilliant with all things cars and bikes but he has no feelings when it comes to the people who stand beside him in life. I like Jesse but sometimes it’s a big disappointment knowing the heart of the man.

I happened to visit his shop in Long Beach (west Side Choppers) the day they finished rapping up Shaq’s Bike. I talked my ex to take me there bc I loved his show and Harley’s. I had no idea he would be there. The store only had a few customers and I still remember so clearly a door opening from above and seeing him come down the stairs. He actually walked straight up to us and asked if we had any questions. I was so nervous that I didn’t know what to ask. We were just looking and loved the show so we wanted to visit (or really ‘I’ wanted to visit).
Anyway, it was a pleasure. He’s not a stuck up guy and very down to earth. I appreciate people like that. I wish I would have bought a t shirt and asked him to autograph. Hopefully I’ll make to his new store and get get one.

In his mind, and the minds of most of these smooth brain mouth breathers commenting here, he's a gal-durn-rootin-tootin-hero! When reality he's a garden variety narcissist, who just happens to be a good blacksmith. And that's all he is. There were actual blacksmiths who were artists, some of their work is in museums, has been for almost 1000 years. Jessies work, meh, no kings ever wore his work, no Kings ever rode into battle wearing his work, he's nothing. He provides toys for boys with more money than jackhandle. And that's the truth.

Thank you for your service. I buried my trauma for over 45 years. I took the road that Jesse described and went hard core tough. I never told anyone. I got sober in 1987 and fell off the wagon 4 years ago. In doing so, I eventually told the wife and family some of the things I went through. I entered a great program centered on trauma and stayed for 6 weeks until COVID shut everything down. I learned so much and was in great company with many veterans, law enforcement etc. I was the oldest person there at 57. Today I am sober with almost 3 years, I am experiencing peaceful moments unlike any time in my life. I have an awareness of where those feelings and fears come from when they hit and have effective tools and actions that I take to get through the demons when they visit day or night. Medications, lots of therapy and safe friends and family to help you through are my keys to a road for a peaceful future. I hope that you move forward for yourself and those that love you. My best wishes on your journey and my prayers.
