I also worked as a trainee in Leela Palace Kempinski Bangalore in 2009. In my first year of farm trip in college we visited this hotel. The first star hotel I visited in my life. It was a dream to work there. I was the only person from my college who got the training from Leela from the batch of 55 . I was in banquets. You know how the operations especially in banquets in Leela is . And till now I am proud of that. Just like what you said. "Decisions" changed my career, but the training I got is really helping me till today in my new career. Even I too cried several days and woke up from my sleep thinking it's duty time. Great hotel with great hospitality for guests only.

ഞാൻ കുറച്ചു തള്ളട്ടെ....
2005 ൽ ഞാൻ ബാംഗ്ലൂർ ലീലയിൽ ജോയിൻ ചെയ്ത സമയം, ആദ്യം തന്നെ കിട്ടിയത് banquet section🙆♂️.
ആദ്യ ദിവസം കാലത്ത് 7 മണിക്ക് ഡ്യൂട്ടിക്ക് വന്നു വൈകീട്ട് 3 മണിക്ക് പൊക്കോളാൻ പറഞ്ഞു. എനിക്കുണ്ടായ സന്തോഷം പറഞ്ഞറിയിക്കാൻ വയ്യ. ജോലി വിവരങ്ങൾ അറിയിക്കാൻ ബൂത്തിൽ ചെന്ന് വീട്ടിലേക് വിളിച്ചു. വിവരങ്ങൾ പറഞ്ഞു.8 മണിക്കൂർ ഡ്യൂട്ടി, ഞാനും ഹാപ്പി വീട്ടുകാരും ഹാപ്പി.
അങ്ങനെ അടുത്ത ദിവസം വീണ്ടും കാലത്ത് 7 മണിക്ക് ഡ്യൂട്ടി. ഡ്യൂട്ടിക് പോയത് മാത്രേ ഓർമ്മയുള്ളൂ....3 ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടാ ഇത്തിരി റസ്റ്റ്‌ കിട്ടിയത്... 🤯...
ദോഷം പറയരുതല്ലോ ഒരു ദിവസം 4 മണിക്കൂർ ഉറങ്ങാനൊക്കെ(ഉറങ്ങാനും, കുളിക്കാനും, അലക്കാനും )സമയം തന്നിരുന്നു....
പിന്നീടാണ് അറിഞ്ഞത് ഞാൻ ജോയിൻ ചെയ്ത ദിവസം എന്തോ പൊതു അവധി ദിവസം ആയതോണ്ടാ അന്ന് തിരക്കില്ലാഞ്ഞതും നേരത്തെ പറഞ്ഞയച്ചതും എന്ന്..... ദൈവം സഹായിച്ചു അവിടന്നങ്ങോട്ട് 8ന്റെ അല്ല 16ന്റെ പണിയായിരുന്നു.
അക്കാലത്ത് ബാംഗ്ലൂരിലെ(ഒരു പക്ഷെ ഇന്ത്യയിലെ )ഏറ്റവും തിരക്കുള്ള BANQUET ആയിരുന്നു ലീല പാലസിലേത്. എന്റെ ഓർമ ശരിയാണെങ്കിൽ 10 ഓ 12 ഓ BANQUET ഹാൾ ഉണ്ടവിടെ....
പക്ഷേ പൈസയുടെ കാര്യം ഒരു രക്ഷയുമില്ല... ഒരു പോയിന്റ് വാല്യൂ തന്നെ ഏകദേശം 6000 രൂപക്ക് മുകളിൽ ഉണ്ടാവും...

Very true ! Especially it's sad to see when students are paying 4 to y lacks to study a non technical or skiled course and getting paid 20 to 25k in india even after years of experience. Even you sell tea in the street in month you will earn 70 to 80 k .
True story: Used to go to a 4 star hotel and there was a Asst. Restaurant manager, later after an year I saw the same guy having small tea shop in tye street , he said he is happy and having several tea shops nearby and earning 70K average from each tea shop after all expenses.

കേരളത്തിൽ അതിൽ കഷ്ടം ആണ് 🤣ഒരു new year ഹോട്ടൽ കയറിത് ഓർമ ഉള്ളു 😑29 duty കയറി 3 മണിക്ക് 2തിയതി എന്തോ bhakyam കൊണ്ട് 2മണി ആയപ്പോൾ duty കഴിഞ്ഞു ഇറങ്ങി.. കുളിക്കാൻ മാത്രം അനുവദിച്ച ആ ഹോട്ടൽ staff washroomyill പുറത്ത് പോകാൻ പോലും സമ്മതിച്ചു ഇല്ല ഫുഡ് കിട്ടി. അന്ന് ഫസ്റ്റ് time സിഗരറ്റ് അടിമ ആയിതു. ഒരു ഹിന്ദിക്കാരൻ സൗത്ത്‌ ഇന്ത്യൻ കിച്ചണിൽ ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദോസ്ത്.. ഇപ്പോൾ വലിച്ചു കൊണ്ട് ഇരിക്കുന്നു മാത്രം
