Dragon Ride is amazing .! With all the back stitching and beading I think it takes more time than if it was a full coverage piece. Any one who completes a Theresa Wentzler deserves a blue ribbon or a medal. Lol. Congratulations. ❤
Thanks! That's true - similar to a Chatelaine, on a Teresa Wentzler you go back over the same area multiple times to put in new details.

Congratulations, much deserved congratulations for Teresa Wentzler ' Dragon Ride! It turned out fabulous, but I am sad that you finished it : it was one of the projects I liked the most on flosstube so I am sure going to miss it. I deserves a frame large enough to see all the details, the work, the beauty of the piece.

Wow Sarah! Holy cow it’s gorgeous! Just amazing! I have the dragon done, but hadn’t even started the border. As a matter of fact I had decided not to do the border until I saw yours! I don’t suppose you would like to stitch it again, would you ? While you’re all in practice and everything? It could be a new car/travel stitch since you have the rhythm down now? It is exquisite and you should definitely enter it in a show!

Where to start? The Cats and Hearts are so pretty, love the April finish with the yellow accents. Wow Dragon Ride is done. Congrats! It turned out to be fantastic. Then your plans made me giddy. No pressure with this though. Coincidence is that I picked up and worked some on your Friendship design that I received at Stitchnanigans this month will continue on that to try and finish it in June before I start Herschel and Lucy Daisy that is all kitted and ready to go. Love your idea about Simpsons in three years. You are always thinking of your family and friends. Enjoy your cooler weather and happy stitching.
How fun that you're stitching the Friendship design! :D I actually made amazing progress on the teacup yesterday and almost finished it! So, I'm going to continue on with it today to finish it before moving on to Lollipop. I'm taking some liberties with the backstitching instructions, but it will still follow the spirit of the piece. ;)

Very much relieved! :D It was fun to work on, but definitely took awhile to finish up all the details. I'm almost overwhelmed by what to work on next, since I feel so free now! :D
@@StitchinMommy I went back and watched your first video for old times sake last night 😂😂 I did not realize you had your husbands Simpsons piece for that long!! Maybe you could make it…not like a focus on a finish but more of a focus so you can get closer to a finish 😂😂 I have no room to talk though, I have pieces still from when I was in high school 20 years ago 🤦♀️🤦♀️
@@jennthecaffeinatedcrafter5679 Yes! I had started Simpson ages ago with a 1 strand half stitch on 32 count, since that’s the smallest fabric I was aware of at the time. But I really didn’t like it and never worked on it. Then I discovered new fabrics once finding Flosstube and found out about 40ct evenweave, which was pretty new at the time. I restarted it (after also recharting it cuz the paper pattern was terrible to use), and the rest is history! It has still been slow going because I’m trying to keep it a secret. But I think I can make my new goal, so that’ll feel good to have it done, too. 👍🏻

Congratulations on finishing a Teresa Wentzler! Are planning to start something designed by her any time soon?
Currently no new Teresa Wentzler's on the horizon, but I still have one WIP - Fantasy Triptych that comes out every once in awhile. I think the next likely candidates of hers are a series of small seasonal band samplers that I'd like to stitch. :)

I do enjoy stitching half stitch on the full coverage pieces that I've chosen to stitch that way. It can make the project faster for sure. There are a few pieces that could have benefitted by doing it with a full cross - like the Visit Endor piece - because it would make the design details flow better. But I can't imagine stitching the rest of that piece with a full cross - I'd get so bored with all that block stitching!
On Verdal, it is 40 count, so for me that is too small to stitch a full cross with DMC thread. Especially with a full coverage design. The smallest I will go to do a full coverage with a full cross is 28 count. I have stitched some non-full coverage designs with a full cross on 32 count and they were tight. If you want to stitch with a full cross on 40 count, you would need a finer thread than DMC, which would then make it hard to source all the colors for a full coverage pattern - but could definitely work for a sampler with fewer colors.

Yes, I watch him. :) I actually still have another Teresa Wentzler WIP - Fantasy Triptych - that I pull out once in awhile. I don't have any immediate plans to start any more of hers, but on the short list would be a small seasonal series of band samplers I have by her. :)
