Cute video, love all your finishes and WIPS. Cute chart and always fun to start a new project!
Oh thank you so much!! I think I’m back to startitis 😬
Great to see you Holly! Enjoyed seeing all your projects and stitching goodness. Take care!
Thank you so much!
I find that i love Morgan hoops the most.😊
Thank you, I need to try a Morgan!!
Thank you for the tip about adding the tab to the Weeks Dye Works floss. I've placed my order and can't wait for them to arrive so I can start organizing.
The chart would be lovely to have. 😊
Oh I hope you love them as much as I do!!
I’m catching up on all my FlossTubers and I chose you for tonight while I stitch. I really liked your office supplies stitchy piece. When I was a teacher before I retired, I had all the things. I brought them home with me and nine years later I still have all the things. I guess once an office supply person, always an office supply person. Lol I enjoyed seeing the rest of your pieces as well. I can’t remember the name of the cute little girl with red shoes but she is too cute.
All the things are just so fun!! Science fair time for my kids, I wasn’t the greatest in the science part but we could build a lovely display with all the tools and gadgets and stationery items on hand 😍. Thank you for watching and connecting!!
Thanks for sharing all your projects and goodies ❤ I can see why you purchased that chart twice, it’s beautiful!! I only stitch in hand because I don’t like the marks left by hoops, etc. I also use the sewing method so scroll bars are out. I guess everyone has their favorite way to stitch 😊
Sewing method for me too! I do find I can do it in hoop so that helps! But I understand those annoying hoop marks!
Your chart is a beautiful one.
Thank you!
Great video Holly, way to go on your finishes!
Thanks so much! Now back to starting to tackling some of those big WIPS!
Thanks so much for a great video. I also appreciate your mention of Memorial Day. Did want to share that Memorial Day is about honoring those that have died serving our country not to honor those currently serving that is celebrated on Veterans Day in November.
Thank you for pointing this out. I think I get talking and mix things up sometimes. I do appreciate those who gave their lives so very much!
That's a beautiful chart!
I think so too!
Thank you for sharing all the stitchy goodness information. I do love seeing your projects, they are so beautiful. I have done the same as you, found that I had the same chart in my stash as my new haul.
Thank you for watching! My projects do make me so happy! If only there were all stitched and finished :)
I love your cross stitching storage!! so cute❤
Thank you!!
Hi Holly :) I have to say - my favorite part of your videos is the "oh, by the way!" at the end 😊 Beautiful stitching, as usual, and how fun to see all the different hoops you've acquired. I'll be curious to see what you find, moving forward, on that Pub Crawl fabric, and if anything doesn't leave a mark. Hope you had a great long weekend! 💜
Hi, friend! I'm always forgetting to mention something so it seems to happen every time! I ended up wrapping the Hardwicke with some varnish and haven't had any more issues!
Love your videos. Thank you for sharing all your beautiful stitching. I love that chart. 🧵✂️🪡🧵
Oh thank you for watching!!
Another wonderful video. I am so glad I found you on floss tube. You have beautiful stitching and finishes. I enjoyed seeing everything you are working on and all your haul. I especially liked the last chart you showed. Till next time happy stitching. 😊🪡🧵
I'm so glad you found me too! Thank you for watching and for your sweet words!
I’ve never done a sampler and this CHART would be a good one to start.
Oh it really would be a great first sampler!
I just found your channel and have binged all of your videos. That is a beautiful chart. I buy duplicates all the time.😊
Oh thank you for binge watching 🥰. There should be a club for we duplicate buyers 😬
Loved your video! Chart
Thanks so much 😊
thank you for that Amazon link, it was quite helpful. In regards to those spots from your hoop. It can be hard to tell but I believe that's just the displacement of threads and happens with some linens/some hoops. Just use your needle to straighten them back in 90 degree lines. This can happen on any hoop you use no matter what anyone tells you. It won't happen on areas you've stitched because your stitches reinforce the rigidity of the linen fabric. The stitches may appear smooshed once you move the hoop but they'll fluff back out. Fibers are malleable and subject to gravity and humidity. If I have a piece that has defined hoop marks, I just hang it from a trousers hanger in the bathroom so the steam from nearby shower can help puff the stitches back out. And gravity from hanging it helps as well....and eventually, I'll actually iron it, lol. my exception to this is satin stitching, those I won't put along hoop lines. I pull out my Q snap which I too don't prefer as I have "short" hands as well:)
I have noticed that in hand stitchers seem to prefer a nurge hoop while I can never get a nice taught fit on a nurge except in two corners near the screw. I am thinking it's because in hand stitchers seem to have such good control of their tension where I do not ( I will pull and yank and not even notice it haha) and nurge hoops have some flex. That was just my boring theory. thanks for sharing and I enjoyed your content.
Thank you for all that info! I tried trying to lift the areas with the shiny "smooshed" linen but I didn't help. I'm hoping they'll eventually resolve. I wrapped the inner hoop and I'm not noticing it now so I hope it's resolved!
Beautiful things and wonderful plans. Enjoy your time in Hilton Head…one of my favorite places. Be well and excellent chart choice.
Thank you, we are so excited to spend time on the island! When were you last in HH?
My two sons…sister and her husband….myself and husband met up at a lovely rental for the week of Thanksgiving. We really enjoyed our time together…..just I know you will too!!
@@jonniemiller5349 HHI in the fall is our favorite!
Thank you for the video. You always have such fun items to look at. Don’t worry, you aren’t the only one that buys a duplicate chart or 2! 🙂
oh thank you for watching! I'm glad to know I'm not the only one!
Another great visit! Your Maggie Mae finish is great. I enjoy seeing what you've been working on during your visits. And seeing a new chart or two 🙂! Thanks.
Thank you so much! I just love Maggie!
Tthanks you for your video.😊 Love see you stitch is so beautiful. I like the chart. 😊❤❤❤
You are sweet, thank you so much!
Love your Floss tube I been using scroll rods for many years with a lap stand my friend hubby made…..I don’t like my fabric wrinkle when I first stared stitching in mid 70”s I did use hoops then Q snaps came out Have a nice Memorial Day
I'm so glad to know you enjoy scroll rods, I really want to give it a try! Do you stitch with both hands or just one?
Beautiful finishes, so fun to see them all. It was fun to see your stitch spot last video. I do believe I forgot to respond. I really do miss having a basement. One of the things we don't have in Tx. Your purchases were great except I Have to go shop now!! Thank you Have a great holiday with your family.
Thank you! I do love having a basement (unless they get wet then I regret having one, lol!). What shopping did you do, did you get any of the same charts?
I thoroughly enjoyed your craft room tour, I didn't comment on that particular video. I wish I lived next door..☕🪡☕🪡😂❣️
This video is packed with inspiration, you've been busy!!
I live in NE Ohio, my LNS is The Crafty Ewe. If you're ever up this way, I'd love to meet you!
Oh we would have fun as neighbors! One of my daughters lives not far from
Crafty Ewe, I visited the shop when I was staying for a week when she had her last baby! I’d love to meet up sometime there! Our trips north are often quick but I’d love to travel to all your great LNS in that area!
Holly you purchased very pretty charts to begin in your birth month!
Thank you, I’m quite excited!
Holly...beautiful finishes...your stitching is awesome...safe travels...best wishes ❤😊
Thank you so much!
Great video.
Those Pods look so useful.
Sarah Barnes is a very pretty chart.
Marilyn
Hello! Thank you for watching! Sarah really is a pretty one!
Your finishes are fabulous! I especially love the Modern Folk Embroidery piece.
Thank you so much, I love that piece too!
I always learn some thing new each time I watch your videos. Thankyou! Always excited for a new chart and that one is a beauty.
Oh I’m so glad my Flosstubes are helpful! Thank you for watching!
Enjoyed watching your floss tube and seeing your beautiful stitching. chart
I'm so glad you tuned in, thank you!
Such beautiful chart s you shared! I always love hearing about what you are up to. Have a wonderful vacation. I too am a late June birthday! Hope you have a wonderful birthday.
Well hi friend! We are b'day buddy's! When is yours?
@@hobbiesofholly June 24
@@emilycall5108 that’s right, I remember now!
Congratulations on all your finishes! Happy stitching!
Thank you! 😊

Enjoyed your video, especially the room tour. I wish I had seen your videos before the QCSG workshop. I didn’t get a chance to say hello. I live on Hilton Head. Hope you have a wonderful vacation. How wonderful to spend time with your daughters. I’m the oldest of three girls. My restaurant recommendation is Nunzios! We love it.
Oh I wish we had met at the workshop! I’m on HHI now! You probably hear the noise in the pool from wherever you live 😜. One day when I come (maybe this fall!) let’s met up and stitch!
We have a place in HHI and try to get down there as much as possible! Happy Stitching.
@@marydamico8552 how fun! Which area of HH?
@@hobbiesofholly We have a place in Palmetto Dunes and 3 rentals in Coligny Beach.
@@marydamico8552 that’s terrific! Our place is in PD too
I like your calendar for stitching recording. Organized. The Chart would be a great addition for any stitcher. Thanks for a great video.
Thank you, I find it really helps me keep track of my stitching!
❤❤❤ the chart.
Always great to catch up with you! I hope that you are enjoying the long Memorial Day weekend. Lovely stitching as always!!
Hi Carol! Our weekend was so nice, I hope yours was as well!
I so enjoy your videos. And I'm always ready for a new CHART.
Thank you!! Seems I'm always ready for a new chart too - sometimes the same one I already have, lol!
Oh my goodness. How am I so late in finding you. Love your video and will go back and watch the others. Beautiful finishes! See you again soon.
Thank you for watching, Roberta! I so enjoyed your last flosstube
Ooh, and chart. Scarlet House is one of my favorite designers and didn't get any of her market releases. About the marks from your hoop-I always use a hoop and haven't noticed that. I have a Hardwick and wrapped the inner hoop so maybe that helped? For smaller hoop my favorite is a vintage Princess hoop, but hope to one day find a Queen hoop.
@@Roberta.SABLEStitchers my varnished Hardwickes are now wrapped and that has helped! I should have mentioned that Sarah Barnes chart is one of the $5 charts from Kitten Stitcher!
I love the chart and would love to add it to my collection. Your videos are so enjoyable to watch. I love the patterns you choose to stitch. Your voice is pleasant to listen to too. Your stitching is beautiful. What more could a stitcher want.
You are so sweet, thank you! I’m so glad you love the patterns!
I too have bought the PUB Crawl Linen to do Peacock, Unicorn and Badger, so I will be watching your progress. Yeah to a new Chart!
Oh how fun, have you started yours yet? I'm packing it for my vacation, we will see how much stitching time the grands allow!
So enjoy your videos! I can always justifying the addition of a new chart to my collection.
Thank you for watching! Seems I can always justify a few new ones too, lol!
Loved your video. I loved the last chart.❤
Thank you for watching!
Great video Holly! The fabric for A peacock, unicorn and a badger is gorgeous. That is going to be beautiful when it’s done. Many mansions is a beautiful chart. How wonderful that your daughter is wanting to stitch!
Hi Tracy! I really life the fabric too, it’s a very vibrant green! Many Mansions is such a pretty chart, I agree! My daughter has done some stitching and it makes me so happy!
@@hobbiesofholly I think it’s a wonderful way to share and spend time with her. Enjoy!
Just found your floss tube and will be going back to watch them all. Would love your duplicate chart.
Oh I'm so glad you found me and I appreciate you watching!
I loved spending my morning with you!!!
Ah, thank you for spending that time with me, sweet cousin!
A New Chart would be fun. My birthday is also in June. I will be 70 this year. Thank you for the fun videos.
Happy 70th!!!
I always love to get a new chart when I can.love your videos..... Take care
Thank you for watching! I do love new charts too!
Love seeing your work! You inspire me to keep working on my projects! I finally got my floss order and I'm working on This Kitchen is Made for Dancing by Stitchrovia (my daycare kids LOVE to dance in my kitchen!) and I'm trying to patiently wait to start My Little Minnow by Autumn Lane Stitchery! Love hearing about your family as well! My birthday isn't in June by my husband and I's anniversary is June 28! We will be married for 27 years this year!
My youngest and her husband have your same anniversary! What fun stitches you have lined up!!
It would help of you wrapped your Hardwick inner hoop with twill tape. It will help with the shine on your linen
Thank you! I wrapped the ones with varnish and haven’t had any further issues! Hopefully, that did the trick!
Love all your stitching! Your videos are great! Chart
Thank you so much!
Oh my goodness, you are such an enabler! Thank you for sharing all your stitchy work! And thank you for donating a chart for us!
Enabling is fun on both ends but not always fun on the wallet, lol! I tend to be easily enabled too!
Love your flosstubes! Such an enabler you are... love it! Chart.
Thank you for watching! Did he enabling bring any new haul your way this week? I'd love to know what you got!
Always happy to see a new video from you. Your finishes and tips for Weeks floss are great. I’m always excited for a new chart.
Oh thank you!! I hope the Weeks hang tags helps!! Happy stitching!
Lots of fun stitching and your chart acquisitions were top notch.
oh thank you! I'm so glad you spend some time with me and thankful too!
Holly, your post is just what I needed, knee surgery recovery slow and depressing.. Beautiful finishers! Progress stitcher
Oh I'm sorry recovery is slow going! Knee surgery is rough! I hope you're making great progress in PT, even though it's hard! And I hope you're getting lots of Stitchy time!
Enjoy your videos. You can always use another chart
Thank you for spending time with me!
Hi Holly, love that red flower for Florence. Haven't started mine but may since my birthday is also in June. 23rd is the day. ❤
Oh start it for your birthday too! Mine is the 25th! Happy birthday to us!
Love your videos and hearing about your family! Your stitching is beautiful ❤!
You're so sweet, thank you being interested in my family! And thank you for your kind words!
Enjoyable show today!! Thank you for sharing!!

Your Flosstubes are such a treat! I love how your two stitches a day turn into a finish! I definitely need one more chart!
Ya know, I still can't seem to stop with two strands and just keep stitching on whichever I pull out that day! Oh well! Thank you for spending time with me!
Krista West has a fabulous FT video on how to do the hem stitch. You had a very interesting observation on how the birth order might relate to a person's stitching type!
Thank you! I need to make a note to watch her instructions! Birth order is so interesting to me. Does your stitching type tie in with your birth order?
@@hobbiesofholly Yes it did!
Love visiting with you. Nice to hear about your girls and things you are up too. Some wonderful finishes. Blessings and happy stitching.
Thank you for visiting! My girls are such blessings, I'm excited to spend time with their families coming up!
So many wonderful finishes! You’ve been busy! Maggie May is so cute, love her little red shoes! I’ve been so tempted to order the unicorn/badger chart, but like you, it’s so not my stitchy style. I guess I will think on it some more. I love hearing about your daughters, as a mom there’s nothing I love to talk about more than my kids. Happy stitching!
Well, hi friend! Maggie Mae was so much fun to stitch and to finish! Let me know if you decide to order Peacock/Unicorn/Badger! I really do love family and you're right, we could talk about our kids all day! I'm excited to spend time with them!
I have the same love of office supplies!
There is just nothing like a new pen or a fresh journal!
Wonderful video! I use Frank Edmunds hoops they are light weight and well made. I cannot use QSnaps they hurt my hands and wrists.
❤
oh thank you, I'll look into the Frank Edmunds hoops!
Your book cover is so adorable. Hoping one day to have my sewing skills back up to being able to wip up fun accessories for myself too. Lovely discussion. Thanks for including us. ❤ Sending love to your grandson always ❤ -Stephanie
Well hello, Stephanie! I bet you'd whip up some fun things, get that sewing machine out! Thank you for thinking of Graham - just got a FaceTimed with him to see if some Gigi singing would calm him while getting hooked up for a sleep study tonight - he's not a happy boy! Hopefully, he'll quickly fall asleep and they'll get all the info they need tonight!
Your finishes were gorgeous haven't been stiching long enjoy hearing abot your family need to get chart for Maggie mae
Thank you so much! And welcome to stitching, it's the best hobby!
I LOVE office supplies too. The pen isle at target always gets me 😂
There is nothing like a new pen!
Your stitching is pretty. I like your taste of patterns. I am going to do Bobbin. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much! Bobbin is adorable, have you started it yet?
I've had Strawberry Fields kitted for some rime now. Maybe when I finish my other Blackbird, I'll pick that one up. I think the flowers would be pretty in periwinklee dhades. Your Maggie May is so cute. I need to work on my fully finishes. How exciting you now have a family member to stitch with or share stitching with.
Which Blackbird are you working on currently? I'm already to start another one, they are so enjoyable! I'm excited Lindsay wants to stitch Maggie Mae!
@@hobbiesofholly Im working on Mighty Acorn from the Winds of Autumn book. 🍂
Enjoyed seeing your lovely stitching and being enabled :) I have Vibrant Flowers kitted and ready to go so I will keep out to see how yours is progressing once you start. Yes, we never know how short life can be, I had unexpected heart failure last Fall and surgery to get an ICD implanted.l. My husband and I are in our 50’s, athletic and eat well so this was a shock - turned out to be electrical not physical. Our lives flipped but we are so grateful for this second chance and making plans to make the most of it. Live happy, stitch all the things and enjoy the cake. Happy Stitching!
Oh goodness, I'm sorry you experienced heart failure! Are you doing ok, do you have lasting issues from it? Vibrant Flowers is so pretty, I can't wait to start it and I'm glad you're going to stitch it too!
@@hobbiesofholly thank you for your kind words. Still recovering, life isn’t as active but I’m blessed to be here and have a wonderful husband who spoils me. I’ll be looking for your start 😊
Lila, I love it. That’s my mother’s name. You don’t hear it very often ❤
I love The Chart
Lila is such a beautiful name! Our Lila is a delight!
I am using Q snap and it is heavy. Always looking for a better way since I don't stitch in hand. I love seeing the samplers you work on. I haven't done a true one yet. I am intimated by the details on the chart! Would have to try a small one.
That's how I feel about Q Snap too, I do enjoy a hoop though! I hope you'll try a sampler, you can do it!!
Maggie Mae came out soooo cute!! Strawberry Fields 🥰. I had a Q-snap do that to a black fabric, so I now try to use something a lot larger than my finished size or stitch with a scroll frame. Yes, you have to have that Chart of your last name 👍 Happy Memorial Day!!
Thank you so much, I just love Maggie! And I think I've found a perfect way to use Strawberry Fields! I really need to research scroll frames, which do you use?
@@hobbiesofholly Omanik is one, there are so many to choose from all depends on what you want to spend.
I just recently found your UA-cam and am loving them! Thank you for the time you share and your talents you show. I love the Modern Folkart finish I think I am going to have to order that chart and the But God that you showed in previous video.
Thank you so much for watching, your encouragement means so much! Modern Folk embroidery designs such beautiful charts!! I can't wait to hear about your progress on But God when it arrives!
Lovely video, Holly. I love all of your stitching projects. I wanted to clarify that Karen’s (Recovering Monogamous Stitcher) approach to finishing is 7 days a month on a project until it is completed. She chooses her oldest WIP. This is different from two threads per day which is not originally mine either. However, both have worked well in helping me finish my projects. I am thrilled you will be joining Judy and I for our birthday SAL. Take care.
Oh dear, I was all kinds of confused! I must be better at writing things down, you are so good at keeping track and giving credit! Thank you for sorting it out for me!
Love a chart don’t you
Have you tried the Nruge square plastic hoops? They come in cute pastel colours and are gentle but sturdy. They're what people mean when they recommend the Nurge hoops
Ya know, I haven't tried the plastic ones yet but I'll order one!
Great video, i especially loved the chart choices!
Glad you enjoyed it
Hi friend! 🙋🏻♀️. Maggie is adorable. Lovely finishes. I don’t like the shiny thing either, and that’s why I’m always adding cotton to the sides to snap in the Qsnaps. I will be curious to hear what people comment here. H Elliott needs some love from me! Peacock is a very fun stitch, and I love your fabric! 💕
Your Maggie Mae is SO cute! I love your colors chosen! Wrapping my hoop seems to have helped, I haven't found any more shiny spots so I hope it's resolved! So enjoyed your floss tube today!
Your finishes are beautiful. Thank you for sharing your time and talents with all of us. Happy Memorial Day. Chart
Thank you for spending time with me!
If you buy the spool pods on the pattern trace Etsy site the shipping for any number(5 or 50+) $16.01 to US addresses.
Interesting! When I bought a few weeks ago, it was $32 for 1 or 50!
You can also use the sewing method with the Morgan hoop, just keep the fabric looser.
That's good to know!
That chart! My mother's maiden name was Barnes.
Oh you need to stitch Sarah Barnes for sure!
Holly, the name of that Stationery stitchery is called Stationery Addict by Little Dove Designs. Funny I also love all things stationery and office supplies. That’s a cute stitch. Chart!!
It was on the tip of my tongue but I just couldn't remember! Thank you for filling in the blanks for me! It really is a fun stitch, have you stitched it?
No, I have not stitched it YET, but would definitely love to.
I had the same shiny spot thing happen on my line and it only happened when I used a varnished hoop. It’s never happened with my plain hoops or my plastic ones.
Oh that's interesting! I wrapped my varnished ones and am hoping that fixes the issue!
I am definitely a project stitcher. I look forward to getting them finished, so I can display them in my home. I can't help you with the hoop situation, because I stitch in hand with the sewing method. I am working on a Scarlett House chart while watching your video.
Project stitching goes along with my personality, I'm guessing. I like to get things finished and can be annoying to my husband if projects drag on LOL! Which Scarlett House are you working on??
@@hobbiesofholly I'm stitching A Sampler For All Seasons.
@@PriviesandPrimsNeedlecrafts that’s one of my WIPS too!
When I started stitching in the 70/80’s I always used a hoop…I tried several types including Q Snaps. When I returned to stitching during the pandemic, I switched to stitching in hand. I’ve stayed with that method and find it much more comfortable than using a hoop.
I really prefer stitching in hand too, although once I got used to a hoop, it feels strange to go back to in hand!
Love to hear about your girls. enjoy your trip. All of your chart (s) are so inspiring.
Thank you! My girls keep me on my toes and I adore them! Thank you for watching!
I have so many charts.

Your projects are beautiful, Holly!!! I love to hear about your family. That's so exciting that one of your daughters wants to stitch! ❤️ Can you tell me what Etsy shop carries those start and finish stitching stickers?
Hello and thank you! The Etsy Shop is Whistle Stop Stitcher. I reached out and she isn't doing stickers any more, I'm so sad, I love those things! Hopefully, we can find something similar! Let me know if you find one you love!
Hi Holly! Thanks for keeping me company while I stitched. Your pieces are lovely. I thought about making a cover for my planner as well and now you have inspired me. Did you use any interfacing in the middle? Thanks.
Hi there! What are you stitching this evening? My planner cover has thin batting in the middle, up should make one!
I use a Hardwicke hoop that is very smooth and doesn't appear to have varnish on it and I don't have the shiny marks like you showed so I too wonder if the varnish is the problem? Many places sell a narrow twill tape that you wrap around hoops so I would suggest trying that.
Thank you, that’s exactly what I did to my hoops with the varnish and it seems to have done the trick!
What is your count for A peacock a unicorn…. Love it!
It’s so fun! My PUB Crawl is 40ct
I also have small hands and have had thumb and index finger issues. I used to stitch in hand, but have transitioned to a Morgan double hoop (lap stand combo) and now stitch two handed. I keep my dominant hand on top and my other hand underneath and have found it to be easy on my fingers with no stress and very easy to learn to do. I hope this helps.
I'd love to learn to stitch two handed, just don't know if I have the patience to learn! Did it take long to get the hang of it?
@@hobbiesofholly Actually, it did not. I think it's about the right hoop holding the fabric at the right height so both arms are comfortable. Take a look at the Morgan double hoop online. Wish I was close enough to give you a lesson in person.
Holly you are so fun to watch! But you do get me into trouble. I have the pattern you want to do for your birthday sal and it is all kitted up in red. But, when you mentioned blue my ears perked right up and I would love to know who to contact to get the blue conversion. Thank you so much and God bless you and your family!
oh dear, I'm sorry I get you in trouble but I hope it's the fun kind of trouble! I'm so glad you're going to stitch Vibrant Flowers!
Where can I get the conversion to the blues for Vibrant Flowers? Always good trouble! Hug, Rene
