What if you were in part 2? ;) Thanks for watching!
@@barelynotmonkeysproduction7510 I'd be looking forward to it even more xD
@@barelynotmonkeysproduction7510 thought @bored was the one piloting at first lol
@@BoredGamerUK OH HELL YEAH
@@barelynotmonkeysproduction7510 A duet of Emmet and Bored singing together while mining?
Ngl i would pay to see an entire movie of this
"Would you like to know more?"
*mashes all the buttons*
Someone has a gift for writing dislodge. Voice acting is quite good. Overall, this is pretty amazing.
Brilliant work! I applaud you for all the work you must have put in to get these shots -- I know personally it takes hours to get footage from SC when you plan it all out to be exactly the way you want the scene to be. Looking forward to future episodes!
We appreciate that. The struggle is real.
I agree
@@barelynotmonkeysproduction7510 You'll have it all down to a science soon enough, maybe? Great opening episode. Got good at the end. Great character development.
The dialogue and voice acting are fantastic.
As a dev on this, well done man!, the camera shot before the warp was my favourite for sure!
This makes us feel good. Thank you
That shot *really* stood out. My favorite for sure.
Can you throw the idea if a star citizen film festival in your next meeting? Stuff like this needs to be highlighted.
the machinima is one of my favorite parts of Star Citizen for sure.
this is pretty fantastic. even with the current state of SC this is a masterpiece and shows exactly what will be possible for SC machinima. Can't wait to see more.
That is Netflix series quality!
That's Teriyaki and I am emotionally invested now!
They called it Machinima, man that takes me back to 2005-2007
I dont always watch machinamas, but when i do, it's from star citizen.
Can't believe the quality of this. I see all the hard work and I'm just so impressed. Well bloody done.
Thank you!
The music did a great job of setting the ambience. I got the full effect watching this alone, in a darkened room.
Cool video.
Two types of people who work in space. Smart.....and dead.
Be proud of this, omg it was amazing.
Behold the age of machinima. I can only image where we'll be in 5 years.
Great job! And you got Bruce Willis to star in it!
Great work people, all around just WoW. Sound, dialog, cinematography, background, B camera work, you all should be proud of this work.
I'm in this moment fully immersed in the show "The Expanse" and have felt in the same universe. Amazing high top skills, beatiful footage and good cliffhanger. Give me ten.
Note: call me if you need extras I would loved to be the dead astronaut #4.
*slow clap* Yes , yes, and yes. Thanks for putting this together and all the work and people it involved !
What? Nobody gets out of a Starfarer that quickly! 😝
"movie magic"
Had to come over to YT to give another Applause - Awesome how much I was into that. The timing was fantastic, I didn't even notice it was 12-13 minutes.
It's been longer than I care to remember since the last time a capital M (that is, fully captured in-game) machinima managed to make me go "oh, this is actually quite nice". Hats off to this crew.
I've seen plenty machinimas before. But never in my life have I seen such a masterpiece. Therefore you got yourself a subscriber
Thank you!
This is the best Star Citizen movie I've ever seen. Absolutely GREAT, I'm at a loss for words. This is like Hollywood stuff - can't wait for part 2!
Oh my god you got me at 11:01
This Machinima is insane !
Damn that sets a high bar for Star Citizen Machinima.
This is by far the best Star Citizen fan made movie ever made
The beauty of this game is it allows you to tell your own stories
Excellent character development and acting. I love it.
Well polished..... hoping part 2 kicks in after 3.15 so we see the dad at the hospital getting his bionic arm, leg and eye fitted in
I dont know, its not looking good for poor old dad : /
Yeah, no.
Considering the state of the crew, I don't think 'Dad' is going to be singing anymore.
Acting 10/10 loved every minute
Okay this was truly exceptional. I am insanely impressed. Congrats to all who worked on this.
une super première parti qui présager une grande qualité pour l'avenier
damn that moment at 2:50 was something out of a movie. Great atmosphere, good cinematography. The best Machinima i have seen in a loong time. Also this game has alot of potencial for this kind of stuff.
Man star citizen seems to be bringing back high quality machinimas again. Used to love watching halo/gmod machinimas back in the day. There's so much you can do in this game with the camera, the foip, and the beautiful scenery. Can't wait for more!
I have no word. It's a masterpiece. I put my tools away.
This was really well done and well voice acted
Watching for inspiration
Love the chemistry between father and daughter you guys did. Can't wait to see the second part!
This deserves so much more views for real
I knew it was going to be good but I didn't know it was going to be THIS good
Best Star Citizen machinima I have seen yet.
Amazing camera work!
I've done a little for the Daymar Rally and I know this stuff isn't easy.
Engaging story too! Waiting for part 2!
No!!! It ended WAAAAAY too quickly, but that's short films I guess. this needs to be a full feature. coming from 30+ years in film and TV this is really well done. glad they're returning soon
Incredible! The cinematography is superb! Above and beyond my expectations and I cannot wait to see more!
That was miracously done. Im fiending for more!!!
I instantly fell in love with your characters well done. I was invested and on the edge of my seat the whole time!
Wow this is professionally made. This takes me back to the glory days of Newgrounds.
THAT... was frickin' Awesome!!! Well done Guys.
💯💯💯
Those 8 dislikes are people without souls
Watched this on my phone, 1min in I had to go and cast it to my big TV. This really is a fantastic bit of cinema, the visual effects, the FoIP, the frankly outstanding acting and sound design. The attention to detail! Very well done guys.
Music to our ears
Watching this again! Can't believe how good the writing is! Seriously professional!!
First SC Machinima that actually made me cry.
Not because of the story, but because of how beautiful you have made it.
Gotta compliment the concept, the writing, the voice acting, the camera work and how it _actually reminds me of something you can do right now in the game._
This is AMAZBALLS! I am sharing the F out of this!
Blimey thought I was watching Gravity but with better graphics at the start!! Awesome film really good camera work etc.
Can't up the other comments, but this is just great on all fronts: script, camera, sound, editing.
"It's teriyaki" loved it!
fantastic! love when people actually use FOIP too, outstanding job
absolutely brilliant is that, i know people are saying shots from SC are really good, but for me its all about the script and voice acting, that can make or break a production that, and this is worthy of Netflix or somewhere. This is flawless, im blown away to be honest.
You definitely have my attention now, can’t wait for part two!
If this is what you make when you are Barely Not Monkeys, you'd get an Oscar when you are Definitely Not Monkeys! Awesome job!
Wow this is REALLY well done! Great dialogue acting and FOIP!
Thank you!
They should've secure the survivor, because it's an unregistered ship. This is like TLOU2 where Joel just let Abby and her team in without a single question.
So well made you could almost wonder if it is a CIG hired crew with real voice actors starting on a series to give the game more exposure and hype. It would seriously work though.
Ah, just hold Backspace, 3.15 is not out yet, you won't lose a thing.
Jokes aside, that's awesome! Please, more!
lol - good one
Great job! Normally things like this can be really cringy but you did a excellent job and have inspired me to do something similar. Keep it up!
WOW, this is one of the best sci-fi movies I've seen in recent years
Absolutely brilliant, I was glued to the screen the whole way, better than anything coming out of Hollywood atm!
Thank you Galaxy Girl, I'm glad you found it so engaging. I love your stuff, btw, always creative and often light hearted.
@@RogerDunbar Thanks Roger that means a lot to me coming from you guys. Can't wait to see what you do in part 2!
OMG THIS PRODUCTION QUALITY O___O BIG LIKES!
I'm totally hoocked up, I so want to see the part 2!
Very good job! :) Oh, and don't hesitate to make a "behind the scenes" videos. ;)
A good rule of thumb for me when decided if I enjoyed someone's machinima is if they
1 Have good flow in storytelling, Character development and the little hints we get about them through the script
2 know how to manipulate the in game camera to create cinematic camera angles
3 How the script is written and the directing in how the actors present their lines as well as having actors who can present them believably
4 and MOST importantly, get me to forget that I'm literally watching some people play a video game.
And dammit you guys did all of the above brilliantly. You have certainly earned a Like and Sub from me. Absolutely, brilliant.
I cannot believe this is this good! Outstanding!!!
lost it when the dad was singing lmao
SC machinima often make amazing content. But this one a level of its own. It's like a great Dust short movie...all made in-game. Absolutely terrific!
That tracking camera shot through the ship...masterful!
wow. was not expecting to see something that stunning. i can’t wait for the next part!
Best science fiction I saw this year. Where are the awards for this? Send it to DUST maybe?
That's teriyaki. Just brilliant. Laughed over that all day. Seriously though, you did such an incredible job at developing the characters. I was hooked all the way through.
Wow I'm almost laughing this is so well done! The shots... The voice acting... Haven't flinched that hard in a long time too lol
The characters, the Cadrage / framing, the audio and timing, ... everything screems "Hey, look what a professional can do!" ;) Well done!
Alright I won't sing... (Guitar mouth noises) I died laughing 😂
okay, okay i see you. i will edit as i continue watching, but i had to say something after the first 55 seconds.
first of all, that's a strong ass opener! props for that, love the extra details of the visor hud and the suit VI alerting you of any issues. i really hope that CIG add this level of immersion to suits so that they are as interactable and important as ships are now.
second, okay i just finished that and it is fvcking incredible! you guys did an amazing job. congratulations to you all. the script, the voice acting, the FOIP syncing, the added sfx and vfx. this is really movie quality work, but just done in a game. i am just mad that part 2 is not out already. wow. please post this on Spectrum and Reddit so that you guys can get your well deserved views and adoration for such quality work.
one last thing i want to know though, are you guys professionals in the movie industry? a simple yes or no would suffice, though i will not say no to any other information you are comfortable sharing.
We have some experience on small films and docs but always learning and trying new things. Glad you liked it
I actually forgot I was watching footage from SC. Fantastic.
Holy shit. I was cautiously optimistic when I saw the teasers. Like, a lot of machinima have great trailers and the full thing doesn’t live up to it, but THIS!? This is really good. Like, great foreshadowing, tension, and humor. This is something special.
You absolute madladies and madlads! That was an amazing watch! Super atmospheric and nice voice acting
Thats some true cinema skill right here. Not only this was a beautiful movie but it also gives you a glimpse of what SC might be like later
Comments for the algorithm god, because this needs to be noticed. Fantastic shots, solid character writing, and a couple of very cool fake-outs followed by the actual hook. 10/10 perfectly captures the 'lost in a zero-g starfarer' experience.
Haha, I still can't nagivate those hallways.
I am going to share this to my community as well Barely Not Monkeys team. This is amazing work!
we love it - thank you!
This deserves a feature from CIG, brilliant work! Most certainly earned a sub
I need part 2 !
Damn. This was sooo good. Star Citizen is the perfect game for machinima. This just proves that.
Now that’s pretty amazing 👍🤯
A Brutal Star Citizen Machinima
Absolutely incredible, cant wait for the full series. Will have to binge watch a few times I reckon
You guys did a great job on this. From shot composition, to capturing the FOIP, the dialogue; solid all around.
Asbsolutely stunning what you guys did here.
great plot / story, camera is insane, music, atmosphere, acting and voice acting, cutting ... absolutely wow. As a long term player of SC and content creator i can not imagine how long it took to make all these shots. You may have guts of polished steel to do this.
I hope this channels explodes with views and subs due to this top notch production. Really though, you all deserve more than what YT revenue gives for this.
Just bloody wonderful. The whole thing. The direction, the script, the voice acting, the jump...boy did I jump. Take a bloomin' bow!
Oh man! I hope there is a part 2 about to go look now. I want her to make it and get that fewl! That was so immersive and so so good! Great Job guys and Gals!❤
