I have been working on the same for few weeks. It’s a game changer for me.
Great job Steve , if any one has a dog and got the plastic ball holder that throws the ball this works fantastically with a short brisk flick of the wrist. The same can be applied to the golf shaft. Plus the ball goes further and tires my dog out quicker 😅😅

This makes a lot of sense. I bet all of us have hit 3/4 shots with an iron only to notice that it goes as far as our full shots. I never really thought of doing it with a driver though. Great video!

Swing fast stop quick is an old trick i first saw from the stack and tilt school. Works nicely with the wedges and irons but i struggeld to make it work with the driver. need to give it another try!

Great tip Steve, I had the yips with the driver three years ago and I rebuilt my swing. Now more compact my hands no higher than my shoulder on the backswing. Guess what? Longer more straight shots and less effort, the ball gets in the way of the club head. I’m a senior and this method took me from 22 to 15 handicapper in six months.

I assume you are not advocating stopping with the club as you did with the alignment rod. Is it a case of having the hands travelling more slowly than the clubhead ?

Really struggle with this concept as I get the 'swoosh' with the alignment rod when you stop/brake. However the clubhead does not stop at impact.
will adding more wrist flex into my swing also help?...thanks
I accidentally did this Friday. Unfortunately, it was with an iron to an island green. On the bright side, I got to drop on the green since it crossed there.
How is this not a flip? Handle stops, head speeds up equals flip. What am I missing?

Morning Steve I'm kind of there already but my hands dont turn over and I have a tail to the right ? I'm 72 cheers
My mind can understand this. It's the Same as your casting rod, you stop your hand and the line shoots further, but with golf I can't do it. When I stop after impact my iron/driver stops too so where do I stop? Can't figure that out. Please help.

I see a lot of players swing and it looks like a half follow through. I thought it was like a punch shot but maybe some of those swings are employing this.

Definitely. I always swing like this. And I get distance, but I pull a lot of shots. I just open my face more at address. Works for me

This guy has a great swing now but he won’t have it when he is 80, my guess
