Installed a Dover power Superman series 265 cam in the Predator 224 powered Coleman cc100x minibike to see if we could reach 70 MPH.
Did some 0 to 30 and top speed run?

The clutch was too stiff it sounds like to me. Seemed to stumble at about 15 mph.

I put a 1/8 npt barb fitting where the governor arm was. Nice way to vent the case.

It's weird with my max torque I remember getting it hot and once it started slipping it would take off alot faster from the slippage it would rev up to Abt 3500 instead of the 2200 before taking off
Bet them bikers were surprised..! With all the different set ups you have tested, what would you say is the ideal set up on the 212's considering 0-30 & top speed..? Just a good all around set up with an excellent balance between the two..?
The great black66, if you had to pick from a genuine mikuni 24mm flatslide or a nibbi 28mm on a built predator 224, which one would you go with? Thanks man
Does a good carb have to do a lot with the way it runs! I’m on the wall between a flat slide or round? I have a stage 4 224 with stock piston but billet everything else and mild port on the carb.
Black66 you should compare the 265 cam to the Tillotson Racing Camshaft, 225RS
Just bought a Predator 224 and was thinking of using the Fire 265. Looks to have the duration of the mod2 with the lift of the hot265. Do you know the specs of the superman cam?

That's interesting. I clearanced the intake lobe on my cam for the 224. I'm using an ARC rod.
Do you have a picture you can email me of where you clearanced? I’m using cm grind .265 cam and I’ve just about figured the clearance out but I still hear something faintly hittin

How does the 3d manual clutch perform on a built 224 mini bike ?

I would change out the stock flywheel if I were going to spin the engine past the stock 3600 RPM. Those stock flywheels have glued-on magnets.
How fast do u think a 212 predator and a stage 4 cam can go with a Coleman 100 frame
I think it depends on the other supporting mods that go with it. Also gearing along with rider weight play into the top speed. But if the combo is good it should fly with that small frame.

Question, what mods or upgrades are required or recommend when installing a 265 cam?
Stronger springs and an aluminum flywheel allows for higher revving which the cam wants to do. If ya can afford it put a new rod in too

@@Black66 turns out the hemi cam fits I had a spare 212 hemi that I replaced with the 224 and I took the cam out and it fit in the 224 ground that plastic gear down in no time with governor removed and 22lb valve springs xD

On the fuel question : is that maverick blue 87 or regular grade 87 with 10% ethanol
It has the ethanol. I have a video without the ethanol and higher octane.

You seem to prefer centrifugal clutches over torque converters even though they would benefit acceleration and top end. Is this personal preference or is there some other reason? My stock governed 212 with a 12/54 tooth on a converter will pull about 45mph and will throw you off from a stop if you're not careful.

30 series CVTs start slipping real bad and draining hp at greater and greater rates the faster you turn your engine, even with the legendary Juggernaut driver. CVTs will usually yield much better ride-ability and acceleration in the low rpm’s , especially with stock, slow turning engines. But when you start spinning them real fast and chasing top speed, clutches will always dominate.
What bike are you getting that with?
@@Deucealive75 I'm running a storm 200 with a predator 212 swap. The 196 it came with had some major issues that I couldn't figure out even after swapping carbs a few times so I tossed it and ran with the 212. It's like a different bike now
At what point does the weight of the motor begin to be a negative influence on acceleration and handling of such a small bike?
Not an expert but I’d say it probably won’t affect much.

When you installs the mod2 cam you said you had clearance so mod2 cam will replace the original plastic can fine

I use a Dragy performance meter for 0 to 30 times.

You don't say what octane fuel you are using?
It's just plain ol 87 octane in this video. I have some videos coming out using different fuels.
@@Black66 sweet they make "race fuel" on Amazon and it is supposedly 105 octane u can just blend it in to some 87 and see what's up

Hey bud I got a ? I have a pwk 21mm on my 224 has a 265 cam 22lb valve springs billet rod and cast flywheel when I have bike on stands it idles great and runs great but if I hold it wide open throttle it's sounds like it's hitting a revlimitter governor and oil switch also removed could my main jet be to small I had a pwk 28mm and it was doing the same bike is geared pretty low top speed is only 45 seems like mabey main jet is to small what are symptoms of main jet to small

Yes, it's like installing a 58mm stroker kit in a 212. You would still have to do the clearance on the block and cam like in the 224.
