Dude this is awesome. Love the channel this is the go to channel for mini bikes. I absolutely love everything you do… your never to old to ride mini bikes! I’m 33 my father is 64 and we ride all through the city! Nothing better then riding wheelies on my bt200x down the road with my dad riding one beside me. The heads we turn while riding makes it all worth it.
thx for telling us the jet size, carb size and altitude so ppl at similar altitudes and builds have a place to start on jet sizes instead of guessing.... with 10 main jets and 10 idle jets... that is 100 jet combos possible... that is a LOT OF trial and error and some of us ... might not have the patience to try all those combos. a must RE see vid series ;)
Everyone's jetting will be different. I have even had two identical carbs on the same bike and the jetting turned out different from one another. Check out the carb tuning videos on the channel in the carb tuning playlist. Thanks for watching!
Makes me excited. Id be building my 224 already but ombwarehouse forgot the 265 cam in my performance kit I got from them. I have some 1.3 arc billet rockers to go with it and I went all out and got the 24mm Mikuni flat slide carb too. So pumped to get working on it.
I had the same issue with the thumb throttle. I got full sweep out of it by taking a Dremel with a carbide grinding bit to the inside of the thumb throttle body. There's casting that you can grind away on the inside.
I love all your video you are very informational and you gave me and a couple of my buddy some good ideals, also, Would you still use the lash cap on the exhaust side for the automotive style springs
I'd rather go with the 224 for the torque. There's no replacement for displacement. I guess the Wildcat 223 is the hot ticket because of the beefy block and the longest stroke in the class.

I run a 212 'Stagev3+' (big valve, 275 cam etc) with a Keihin 26PWK and even that is too much carb so a 28 defitely is. Gas velocity = throttle response, a big choke is all top end.
Hello, I have the same combination. The only difference is that I have a billet piston and the intake and exhaust block cover is ported with a Nibbi carburetor. The rear toothing is 40. The maximum speed is 60 miles with a BTX 200, exactly the same motorcycle.
I have built a few engines by watching your vids! The information you provide is gold! I have a ghost with a broken rod. I would like to go to Harbor freight today and grab a 224. Would I be able to swap the 224 plastic cam gear for the metal cam gear out of the ghost? And could I use the rev limiting ignition coil from the ghost on the 224? Just so I can temporarily remove the governor from the 224 until i can order the superman kit.
Thanks! If you use the Ghost coil you also have to use the Ghost flywheel because its clocked different than a 224 flywheel. Both engines have .550 cam mains so it will fit. Check out the cam fitment video ua-cam.com/video/6Q_ngCckaJI/v-deo.html
Hey black66 I’m trying to replicate your build on my 224 Coleman b200r do you mind sharing what kit you got from diy performance can’t find kit exact kit
@@bangnfaces9776 I just ordered the kit last night, so we will see.. I have a feeling they are they same length as the stock ones, doesn’t look like he trims them in the video.
@zachlowe952 heck yeah that's cool. I feel like they are stock length as well but in the description it says they're longer. So once you find out, please let me know. I'd very much appreciated it!
He’s has put out so many helpful videos, I’m sure if you really tried and paid close attention you can do it yourself. I don’t think he’s missed anything when it comes to these engines
You really can't compare that to the ghost in speed wise because the ghost doesn't have a 265 can in or aluminum push rods and 26 lb springs the ghost a Only 22springs and a mild mild lift on that ghost cam but cost this for 224 is to me a way better deal
I like doing multiple clicks to get folks to comment on the videos! Thanks for commenting! Oh by the way after 400 + plus videos on the channel We haven't had one engine failure! Just picked up a predator 224 for my trailmaster mb200 and went to go install my 22lb springs and was shocked to find it has a hemi head from the factory....this is a newer motor I picked up after hf had been out of stock for a while. Here is a link to my video showing the head ua-cam.com/users/shortsEPpvOoJXFpk?feature=shared
I'm wondering if guys know they can get a Ducar 224 from DynoCams? This is the one to get if you want to build. No governor or flywheel. Non hemi head. And I'm hearing better quality than the Predator 224.
I love my 212 built but LOVE my 224 none built for everyday usage! Your videos are A1 as they say in the Mini Bike Community!

What did you get for a pwk carb?

Let me know what you think about that tank is it a good price or to high thanks for the help
What header pipe are you using here? I’m trying to find a pipe to fit my ghost in my BT200x. Thank you.
If i got a ghost could i use the flywheel off my ducar so i can build my ducar up an use the ghost in the meantime or should i just get the duro440cc
superman 265 is a great cam, i get 8000rpm out of it with 22 pound valve springs and a 24mm flatslide

so instead of taking all of the governor stuff off. can i just take off the gear on the crankshaft?
What's the purpose of going to 5+ clicks on the torque wrench? Just habit?

superman 265 is a great cam
Yes, have that cam in a few bikes on the channel
The 224 on sale for 129.99 now
Good deal
The ghost was on sale for 280 😮
The Ghost is OK as long as you keep the REV limiter . Anything past that needs a billet flywheel and rod to be safe in the long term.
