Thank you so much & I love you lots CG. I am plus size and I am really appreciative for this pattern. I've been wanting a pretty poncho for a very long time.
So grateful for this tutorial I like to do my starter chain then do another row then attach together. Easier on me to not twist. Thank you Glenda Love Puzzle yarn
New subscriber here. Since I am a plus size woman, the thumbnail of a plus size poncho caught my eye. You explained things so clearly and your directions are easy to follow. I am excited to try this and am thrilled to have something in my size. So many ponchos are a “one size fits all” which isn’t true. Looking forward to exploring your older videos and what you will do next.
Adding to my to do list 😂 Yesterday was at Walmart and got to touch the premier puzzle yarn for the first time, can’t wait to use it. Ty! Oh and can’t remember if I posted but LOVED the fair walk-through and seeing all the talent ❤
Thank you Glenda, I just purchased your pattern. It is very well written with the stitches needed for each size poncho included in the directions. I love your videos, you are an excellent teacher! I already purchased my yarn and crochet hooks for this project and I'm ready to get started. I love this poncho because it covers my arms. Thank you for including these sizes in your pattern!
So happy i found a plus size poncho it’s so pretty looking forward to making it. ❤definitely subscribing. Thanks Also for adding the timestamps of the rows makes it easy for the repeat rows. ❤
Well Dear Glenda what a great toot! You looked wonderful in that poncho! I love how you teach so easy to follow! I can’t wait to get yarn and try this myself! Finally a plus size toot! ❤❤❤❤
This is an amazing tutorial!!! I can't wait to receive my yarn and get started. The visuals are great and your explanations are so thorough. Let's see how I do once I get yarn and hook in hand! 🙂 Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge and gift.
Bought the pattern and absolutely love it! I used Caron O'go yarn and because the hook size wasn't comfortable to me I went down a hook size and adjusted beginning chain to fit. After that I made an index card that listed rounds and number of stitches as you did for each side. Definitely will be making this poncho again! Thank you.
52 chains doesn't fit over my head. I increased the size to a chain of 68. Now that you mentioned the weight pulls the neckline wider. I am now thinking. Start over. Lol This is my very first poncho I am making. I ordered the Seashore colour it is gorgeous ❤
Im so excited! Waiting for my yarn to arrive so i can make this gorgious poncho. Thank you Glenda so so much for sharing. I love watching your channel❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Oooo I like this! My sister LOVES ponchos so thank you. You are very easy to follow; showing us exactly what to do and going slow enough for us to start crocheting and/or write down your lovely pattern! 🌻 Thank you Glenda from Linda and Brenda. 😂
I fell in Love with I Love this yarn color party it’s purples❤ Just waiting for the perfect pattern. This is most definitely it Thank you very much 🙏🏼🌷
I love this!! I just bought the pattern and will start making it this evening!! I actually have the yarn as I bought 8 skeins of it from Amazon last week ~~ at $5.98 a skein!! 👸💜🌹
Thank you Glenda for another excellent tutorial. So happy to have a plus size tutorial. I'm in the Uk so using James C Brett marble chunky, not so long between colour change but working well. I really wish we had a yarn like Puzzle.
Thank you, Glenda. I think this poncho would be great for my daughter on chilly Sunday mornings when she's running out to church. I just happen to have a stash of Puzzle yarn in the perfect color.
@dawngarcia7616 If you use a (4) weight yarn then you should try using a size J-10 (6 mm) hook, I would also increase the starting chain using the multiple given in the video, do the first 2 rnds then try it over your head to see if it fits ok then follow the pattern to desired length, you will have to figure out your stitch count for the first several rnds between points i show you how in the video at the end of rnd 2.
@@CreativeGrandma4ply in the UK would probably be classed as a #2 category. Not sure where the comment or is based so my comment may not be relevant! 😊 Yarn categories can be confusing.
I finished this poncho. Turned out Gorgeous, my mother loves it. Then she asked for matching hat and mittens. Lol, I do not know how to crochet mittens or hats yet. Do you have a tutorial for hats and mitts ? ❤
I enjoy watching your videos so much. Learning so much along the way. I would like to see you add an estimated time to finish your projects. I know that is hard to gauge but would be helpful. What is your estimate of time taken to make this poncho. It is beautiful. Thank you
What sizes does the plus size cover? I wear XL to 2Xl depending how big it runs. I love your tutorials! I have a bunch of Hue and me number 5 bulky yarn I got for a poncho I can’t get right. Would that work for this? I do love your yarn and colors but I’m buying too much yarn. 😢
The poncho looks very pretty in the video and explained well. I used the same yarn but did granny squares instead with a hook 8 instead of hook 10 size. The drape is horrible over the arms and too bulky in general . Purchased the pdf , but the beginning has one difference so the stitch count is different from video.. I am just going to close up the centre and use this as a throw instead. Too bad. Spent a lot on yarn as had to pay for shipping twice. Maybe this is helpful for someone who is thinking of doing granny squares instead.. I dont recommend this yarn for wearable. Perhaps following the pattern in the video , will have better results. Thank you.
I love it💖 Also, my math brain is kicking in! If you begin with 52, subtract 4 for the 4 side points. 52-4=48 then divide by 4 to find the number of stitches between each point. 48÷4=12. OR If you begin with 4×13 merely subtract 1 from 13 to determine the number of stitches between each point. Likewise for other numbers 4×7=28 7-1=6 ... 4×6=24 in between stitches plus 4 corners= 28 And my mind is still going .. I'll tell it to shut up, hopefully it will listen 😂 lol And my brain is still going with more ways ... It will stop soon
I have the same question. I need to make it a plus size too. I wonder if we would need to add more stitches since the hook would be small and yar n is smaller in diameter?
If you use a (4) weight yarn then you should try using a size J-10 (6 mm) hook, I would also increase the starting chain using the multiple given in the video, do the first 2 rnds then try it over your head to see if it fits ok then follow the pattern to desired length, you will have to figure out your stitch count for the first several rnds between points i show you how in the video at the end of rnd 2.
I always thought you had to use the same size hook but double the yarn (crochet with 2 strands, not one!) if you wanted to use smaller yarn....example, 2 strands of #2 yarn =1 strand of #3, 2 strands of #3=1 strand of #4, etc. That is what I was taught anyway.

This poncho is so nice. With bulky yarn it should work up pretty quickly. I just might give it a go! ❤

I absolutely love ponchos and cardigans!!! Love this!

Since I prefer working with a 4wt yarn instead of a bulky yarn, could this poncho be made with a 4wt instead?

Hello Glenda
For some reason I keep on ending up with one extra stitch in front of the edge .. I don’t know why or how to fix it
Can this be done in all double crochet?
I will have to get a N hook
I just the 4 times 13 plus 4 of 56 for a 3 to 6 yr old. 😮🤔
Nice yarn but not available in Australia
Which of the number of chains would you use for a M-L size
I don't have an eleven-mm hook I do have a twelve-mm hook Will that work?
