Exactly. No one else will agree, but as a doctor myself, the vet should have said this was too much for an animal already at end of life. This was about MONEY.
No denying that 16 is getting up there, but apparently the defendant is unaware of the dog that had its (confirmed) 31st birthday before passing away last year. While it doesn't happen often, dogs seeing near 20 is not out of the question. I've had two that saw 19 and in good health (for a 19 year old), I've met a number of OLD dogs in my day. Even if that Dachshund only had a year left (and it didn't have cancer, that was made up by the defendant), what dog owner wouldn't relish in every moment of that year? And who's to say it wouldn't have seen 2 or 3 more years? To refuse to pay the vet bills because the dog was old ... what a douchebag. She cost two dogs their lives, since it didn't seem to hurt her conscience, it should at least hurt her wallet.
I agree 100% on everything you said. That poor little dog would have lived at least another year or two--maybe more, and when he died it should have been peacefully in his sleep. Not traumatized, in severe pain, and suffering. Awful.
The defendant did not have her OWN dog restrained as she should have! The defendant was irresponsible for having her garage door opened enough so that her unleashed, untied Pit Bull ran out and attacked the plaintiff's dog! Then she mentions how her dangerous Pit Bull has also jumped the fence! Now whose fault is that?! Thank God there was no small child in the vicinity! I'm glad Judge Marilyn ruled for the plaintiff!
I feel bad for both dogs. The defendant was already on notice from her own admission that her dog was not being contained properly in the garage and multiple times over the back fence. The time for her to do the right thing was when she realized that she had no control over her pet getting out, and she should have put it up for adoption. But she was irresponsible and let it continue and now 2 pets are gone. Get the kid a Gerbil if he needs a pet. I've never heard of a Gerbil slipping under the garage door and killing a neighbor's dog.
I feel really bad for the plaintiff. That said, I would have never put my 16 year old dog through that suffering. Part of being a dog owner is knowing when you have to let them go. I've had dogs all my life so it killed me to see how much that poor baby suffered. The defendant should have lost. She doesn't get brownie points for knowing her dog was dangerous and doing the right thing. That's part of being a dog owner too.
We had our pitbull put down Got her as a pup. She turned 2 , and she snapped. Killed 2 dogs, snd turned on us. They're unprecedented. No matter how you raise em.
I know there are some sweet pitties out there, my sister had one who was just a darling. However, one pit bull ripped the face off the child of a former neighbor. If I remember correctly, the pit was owned by a relative or close friend. Some people should nout own any kind of animal.
Ughhhhhh. I hate these cases for pit bulls. I’ve had pit bulls and they never harmed another person or animal. I took great care and responsibility to make sure of that, which is what we are all supposed to do. My most recent dog, a yellow lab named Czar❤rip, was 90 lbs and was not fat at all lol he was a stocky, cocky little brat and I did not trust him with other animals. Knowing my dog, I took extra steps to keep him safe and the world safe from him. Not rocket science people!!!! I really dislike bad pet owners! It’s disgusting and negligent.
She ruled this off emotions. I’ve seen JM talk about dogs being property and she has the base the value of the dog as such. JM was upset because of the dismissive attitude about what happened and she made her ruling off that alone. So sorry that the dog passed but this was a ruling of “I’ll teach her a lesson”
Yeah the lady owed some but 5k. Why Judge didn't yell depreciated value like she always does if she considering the dog as property. It was 16 years old.
I have a Pitbull mixed and I will and I have cats and I will never ever put her in the situation along with the cats now she's going to be 16 years old she's almost blind she can't hear very good now she can't hurt my cats, and I trust her trust her
People ahould have to get permits to own large breeds fr, they should have to take a course about safety and training. They should have to get the dog trained and pass a test every so often. Its wild that just because its a "domesticated" animal, regardless of being highly specialized breeds, anyone can own them.
I feel so bad for both plaintiff and defendant because no one won in this case. I know how HARD it is to put a dog down I’ve done that myself with my dad because our dog was old and was suffering. Yes the defendants dog got out many times and sometimes that happens, both my beagles have got lose from their chain they was on and I went and got them asap and no one was hurt thankfully, sometimes dogs get out and bad things happen and sometimes nothing happens. At least the defendant wasn’t a jerk, most people would be like so what and not give too shits and not help unless forced by a judge. I’ve seen too many of these court cases where the persons dog got out and hurt another dog and that person was like whatever. I feel bad for both ladies and their dogs. I don’t like how the judge was giving the defendant crap, it’s not like the defendant was being a jerk and the defendant didn’t even complain like why scold the defendant, like I said I feel bad for both ladies and their dogs 😭

It’s always a pit bull because pit bull owners trust their dogs too much and forget they’re freaking animals with AGGRESSIVE NATURE!! They treat them like lap dogs as if they can’t do some real damage. Unfortunately my husband is one of those people.
Bad enough defendant owns a pitbull, but to have kids too, totally irresponsible.
I know, right. If you want a dog that will kill you, don't also have kids.
They are actually recommended for families lol please educate yourself 😊
@IsomerMashups pitbulls are actually family dogs, please educate yourself 😊
@@natasharobinson2008 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣You're funny
@@natasharobinson2008 oh please. My hubby had two pit bull dogs that were raised together. They were never fighting dogs and they were inside dogs. Not only did they bite his niece and nephew, but one of them attacked the other viciously over a fcking toy. A toy… poor dog had to have stitches, had a massive hematoma, and couldn’t walk or eat or drink for days. Smh. It’s just not safe. They’re so unpredictable it’s grotesque.
Omg what if it was a child. Dogs don't think like humans. So dad
Those vet's were money hungry!
Exactly. No one else will agree, but as a doctor myself, the vet should have said this was too much for an animal already at end of life. This was about MONEY.
@@stratfordbabylol….vets are about money but doctors aren’t? Is that why a two our visit with one X-ray costs $25,000?
@@stratfordbabyso as a doctor you deny care to the elderly bc it's not worth the money??
@@lylee97192did you purposely reach for this ridiculous comment?? Cause wow
@@stratfordbaby GOOD POINT! I was looking at the pics like wow!!! I cannot believe he is still alive. Money hungry is correct!
Omg that poor dog! If that were my dog, the other dogs owner better watch out!!!
Hopefully other pit owners will take notes.
I bet she keep the dog in now. Pit bull owners always some of the most irresponsible.
The pit bull was put to sleep.
Maybe if it was a genetically modified giant gerbil!
Nope. It would still just want to munch on fruit and vegetables lol.
Im sorry, maybe she'll be back with her babies. Your a very kind man!💗
I feel really bad for the plaintiff.
Ya your dog is friendly...to you! Not to others! People get a clue with your animals.
We had our pitbull put down
Got her as a pup. She turned 2 , and she snapped. Killed 2 dogs, snd turned on us. They're unprecedented. No matter how you raise em.
To answer the Judge's question, "It's always a pitbull because that is what pitbulls do."
This is the prime example of bad dog ownership. Pitbulls aren’t the problem folks-it’s the owner!
This video needs a warning for those pictures 😬
So Heartbreaking
Got out 4-5 times and she learned absolutely nothing. Far too many people out there like this woman
That poor dachshund was ripped to shreds
I know there are some sweet pitties out there, my sister had one who was just a darling. However, one pit bull ripped the face off the child of a former neighbor. If I remember correctly, the pit was owned by a relative or close friend. Some people should nout own any kind of animal.
Omg poor Milo what happened to him and how much he must have suffered… I can’t even 😢
I hate pitbulls...why do the most irresponsible people Always have the most vicious dogs?? It never fails...
Owners usually have anti-social traits.
Yeah, bad owners put a bad name on pitties. It’s so sad.
All bull dogs hate other dogs even if bull dog is not mean towards people
Poor dog, living to such an old age to be mauled by another dog. Could've been a kid.
Pets are seen as property.
How much value does an Very ill elderly dog have?
She ruled this off emotions. I’ve seen JM talk about dogs being property and she has the base the value of the dog as such. JM was upset because of the dismissive attitude about what happened and she made her ruling off that alone. So sorry that the dog passed but this was a ruling of “I’ll teach her a lesson”
That pit bull ensured those last couple of days that little dog lived was horrible.
JJ would never have let this fly
The price you pay for getting a dangerous creature like a pit bull they should ban those dogs
I agree 💯
Reason 7,658 as to why no one should have a pit bull. Period. Point blank. I said what I said.
Well said
This is one of those cases where no one really wins.
I wonder if the defendant thinks that way about her mother. What an insensitive hag.
I actually teared up❤
This is a sad case all around.
That defendant is the worst!
5:14 LMFAOOOO ’well actually Chihuahuas a kinda nasty dog that was a bad example ’. JM is so unintentionally funny 😂.
Yeah the lady owed some but 5k. Why Judge didn't yell depreciated value like she always does if she considering the dog as property. It was 16 years old.
That poor baby.😢
Why is no one mentioning the fact that she has the Pitbull destroyed, instead of a shelter?
Its always a pitbull 100%
I have a Pitbull mixed and I will and I have cats and I will never ever put her in the situation along with the cats now she's going to be 16 years old she's almost blind she can't hear very good now she can't hurt my cats, and I trust her trust her
People ahould have to get permits to own large breeds fr, they should have to take a course about safety and training. They should have to get the dog trained and pass a test every so often. Its wild that just because its a "domesticated" animal, regardless of being highly specialized breeds, anyone can own them.
poor dog. he looks like my baby, he's half dachshund but looks dachshund, his name is also Milo.
Doug is such such a jerk sometimes. Lol
I thought the amount you could win in court couldn’t exceed the depreciated value of the property lost… can anyone explain.
Defendant: You wanted to euthanize your dog to get off the hook. Your dog didn’t need to die. You were irresponsible. You learned nothing and made two dogs suffer horribly and die. Milian: in terms of reasonable person status, the photos speak for themselves.
Im not a dog person, i especially hate more aggressive dog breeds like pitbulls, boxers, bulky breeds, poodles, dalmations, german shepherds etc. They need to start a policing who can own what dog breed
Always a pitbull
Only, the show pays the 5K not the defendant.
My goodness, poor little guy. He looks Sooo Sad in those pictures. I love all dogs including pits , however they are super powerful dogs, HUMANS need to be BETTER OWNERS!!!
