- My first time experiencing Lapland. A short travel vlog visiting Santa Park and driving around Rovaniemi.
Unfortunately I had to replace the song in the original video and once I deleted it, it cut all the other sounds from the video as well :(

Lapland comes from Finnish language, "lappi" is Finnish and means a remote, secluded wilderness place. There are many Lappi-named places all over Finland. Lappalainen (person from Lappi) means someone who lives in such a place. It didn't mean an ethnic group originally, nor a province either.
It reminds me of Montana. Cold and snowy winter, but still very beautiful.

We had rather good snowy winter this year. I'm living south-central Finland and we had 1 meter snow depth spring-winter. Road sides and yards had many meters high snow hills piled plough-trucks and bulldozers.

Thanks for watching! It actually wasn't too cold, l think it was around -6 degrees which is very tolerable!
Absolute perfection and the landscape is beautiful too! Too bad most of the old city was flattened by the germans during the Lappland War (1944-45). I would have liked to have seen the architecture. And anyone who doesn't know that Joulupukki lives in Rovaniemi is a bloody twit lol.

I know I'm sorry, though the track that I used wasn't copy righted material they claimed this video. So I had to remove the original song and tried to edit the video and add the new song it didn't really work for the whole video and I was spending way too much time trying to fix it and in the end gave up 😞
