That video was the first video or song i have ever seen or heard of them and it was the one that got me hooked

This whole Live at the LBC show was AMAZING and it was so fun when they got a fan to come up and sing a cover of Walk by Pantera. I have seen them live and I stand by the statement they are just as good in person. RIP The Rev

"Beast and the Harlot" is another good one by A7X.
I'll second this. If you want amazing transitions, key change, and incredible drums all under something Stupidly catchy, beast & the harlot live from the same show is just fucking wonderful

I've seen A7X live, and can confirm they are without a shadow of a doubt one of the best live performers out there. Most of the time you get one aspect at the detriment of the other; either the band is great at playing their songs as they sound on the record, but they're pretty static and boring in their performance, or their stage presence is amazing, but they're sloppy and don't sound too great... Avenged Sevenfold are one of those rare bands that give both an amazing performance, interacting with the audience, having fun and messing about, but also perform 99% of their songs perfectly. If you haven't seen them live you're missing out, it's seriously one of the most incredible experiences you will ever have.
You need to do Gunsliger, especially as a vet. It’s a great song and it conveys at great message! The album version is great but the live version from the same concert is even better. 10/10 would recommended every single time!

The album City of Evil to me is absolutely perfect from start to finish, any song off it is worth checking out. I wasn't at this show in particular but I did go to this tour in 08 and waited for hours to get barricade. Incredible show!!
Such a fuckin good album, I brought that shit everywhere with me in a Walkman when I was a little kid, played that shit to death. Fuckin classic album, not a single skipable track.
Avenged Sevenfold aka A7X is a great band, my faves are Shepherd of Fire, Nightmare and Hail to the King.
This live performance is from their best period, they've never really gotten over the tragic loss of Jimmy. Still a great band though.
Oh man... you dipped your toes into A7X with a great reaction, you’ll probably get bombarded with a whole lot of more request and if you can do keep them coming, LBC is definitely a masterpiece... I suggest Critical Acclaim and Unholy Confessions... and pretty much every other song in here lol but Second Heartbeat please do original or Live in Ventura

No idea how I this got thrown across my recommendeds MONTHS after the fact, but as a longtime fan of A7X I say you were bang on with your assessment of just why they have such a huge appeal - infectious melodies, lyrics that bounce between badass and bizarre, and surprisingly complex music to back it all up, plus a killer live show that's only gotten bigger and flashier in recent years.
Also points for loving Zacky V's "50's soda jerk" outfit, I loved that one and I wish he'd bring it back! Nothing says metal like a good bow tie.
He will always be one of the best in the world. The detail in his playing is unmatched.
i have a feeling one of m shadows vocal inspirations is bruce dickinson because he is running back and forth on the stage similarly to how bruce does

Just found your channel its great! This band has some songs about war M.I.A. or Dangerline! Should check them. Also the song So Far Away that was written for their drummer when he died.

I have seen avenged live 2 times and its a amazing experience well worth paying for and they have not passed their prime yet belive me the stage album was a prog space metal masterpiece album listen to it
They are great live. One of the concerts I was at they caught some curtains on fire. Guess the stage was too small for the fire. One of my favorite bands.

The Rev was known as a one take drummer, because in the studio he'd always get his part In one take. He was the best
Yess! A7X has been my favorite band for years, this is definitely my favorite song and means a lot to me. This was the song I sang when I applied to a music-centered class in junior high(I guess that's what it is over there? School years 7-9). It had an entrance exam that included music theory, playing an instrument and singing.
And the music teacher we had was the one who got me into singing, I mean it had been a dream of mine but I thought I wasn't any good, but he saw the potential in me. And even after school ended and I ran into him years later, one of the first things he asked me was "you're still singing, right?" and I was happy to tell him that I'm fronting my own band, and when we started out and played covers we actually covered this one as well!
I actually have a lyric tattoo from this song, the only lyric tattoo I have. This band got me through tough times, helped me be myself and brought so many awesome experiences.

When this album came out, it was literally the only thing I listened to for months. I’ve seen them live several times, but I didn’t like anything new after this save for a few tracks. The next album had a couple good ones, but to me, it was a major letdown. For a real wild ride, try SECOND HEARTBEAT by Avenged Sevenfold.
It’s a bummer to hear that, as a fellow A7X fan from back in the day it’s so easy to see how each album really varied from the previous one and how they slowly progressed to what they are now but that’s actually part of what I love about the band, it’s so dynamic... I do believe the Rev was the main foundation for what they had at the time and after their loss it seems as if something was just missing...
If you haven’t yet please do check out Crossroads, it’s in the diamonds in the rough album, song made around this time but didn’t make it to an officially released album... brought me right back to this time
@@SgtJuls My first A7X song was Chapter Four on the Freddy vs. Jason soundtrack and I was hooked. The entire album was masterful and Second Heartbeat remains my favorite song of all time. Seeing them with Bullet for my Valentine in the Scream Aim Fire days was the best concert I’ve ever been to.
It feels like later albums after City of Evil lost the drive and power. I listen to bands like Unleash the Archers because they scratch the itch these guys seem to have lost over the years. Which is fine... bands change and evolve as do our musical tastes. I just couldn’t connect to much of anything after City of Evil.
