The thing that has really resonated and helped me recently was from a Trottie video where he was getting help with his short game from Max Homa’s coach.
The coach said ‘what was it like as a kid when you were chipping on your lawn with your dad?’ or something similar.
Fun. Fun and fearless is what it was like. And I was better at chipping because of it.
Getting those feelings back along with understanding that using the wrists (as you did as a kid) is OK has made a WORLD of difference for me.
I’m not scared any more.

The dead arm stuff comes from TV banging on about Jason Day and his wonderful short game, he is an outlier rather than copying him folk should keep things simple. Finishing so that you can drop the club in a holster works for me, can’t do that without releasing the club.
