Been into iracing now for about 3 months. Have only done AI races and learning tracks, cars and practicing. Did my very first race last night. FF 1600 at summit. Started 6th ended up taking the win with 0 incidents. Thanks for all the track guides and tutorials.
At first i got so sad when i heard you say you wasnt gonna go to the expo, so was really surprised and happy when i saw you there, was awesome meeting you in person, love what you do, keep racing mate 🚘
Unfortunately I did not catch you at the Expo, maybe next time. I love your content. In this video I loved that you said at some point "Simracing is Awesome" a couple of times. I hope to get that enthusiasm back tbh. Been stuck on the learning curve for a long time and got to the point where I no longer enjoy being on the Sim.
Always a lot of fun these things but can be tricky, so much lateral movement in the braking zone and when going side by side. Very easy to get hooked up with each other. Nice race thru the field there too, good recovery drive 👌
Nice recovery after quali. Very satisfying to see you cut through the pack after that. I hope one day I can see you at an expo, and tell you that I watch your videos.
Great video as always Dave! Do you need to calibrate your brake? Or perhaps keep your foot off it? Check the trace at 15:46, it seems to hover around 1%.
640 miles to the Sim Expo isn't bad at all! It's a bit far to walk but that's almost cycling distance. ;D You'd still be in the same state in many of the largest US states by area.
Great content as always, Dave! I would very much like to see your FPS displayed in your videos. Always interested in how many frames fellow iRacers are getting with their machines.

Hi Dave, Great video as usual. Can I ask a technical question regarding your setup? I notice you seem to get great surround sound. You can hear the cars in front, beside and behind you. What are your iracing sound settings and are you using a separate sound card on your PC or the onboard sound?
Hi coach Dave Cam! Did you Assetto Corsa EVO at the Expo? What's your take on it? So far, I've heard that it's not the best for those looking for more of a hardcore simracing experience, but is more towards the simcade side of things while still being a sim.
Yes I did and I would agree. But, it may have just been setup with lots of assists so people could actually get around without crashing. If the final 'game' is like it was at the Expo it's not for me 🫤
Hey Dave have you thought about letting PC Specialist check your PC stutter out ?? Do you think it could be something with Racelabs i know i had some thing similar maybe try not useing Racelabs for a race just use iracing to see if it fixes it
Yes I did indeed. Felt good, very easy to drive almost to the point of it being arcade like. I'm sure they made it that way for the expo so people just didn't kill themselves. Hopefully it's a bit more sim like. Nothing we haven't seen before though at this stage 👍

He took his family to Spain instead so that meant we were free. All very last minute so trying to get accommodation in Dortmund was a challenge 😳
