It races like this that makes you wonder what took iR so long (to be the first game, even) to add THE car that has been the stepping stone for many a budding young hotshoe looking to make the step up from karts to cars… Well done 👏🏽
I agree. But the developers will always make what is popular and sells. That is a consumer problem. I've always said if you want to see good, close exciting racing go watch a go cart race, or formula v, f- Ford , Mazda cup etc. I can't stand F-1 because of the politics, immoral amount of money spent, and boring races. Indy cars is a little better. Nice job Dave keeping it clean.

Very exciting… With those 5 races, you have your own season of Drive to survive. Racing pack action, drama and returning racers. Even in this one, we saw Oier finishing last, he was also taken out by Damien in race #1 when he was refusing to do the “skippy” train with you to distance the rest of the field… Great stuff!
I yearn for battles like these when I hop on iRacing… awesome stuff! As someone who has worked as a flagger while a pack of these ran around the track in real life, it truly is magical to watch!
I ve also been racing the ray already the whole week because its so much fun, especially on this track, amazing combo ❤ good stuff
My very occasional irating of 1800 lower split races don't quite go this smooth lol! I wish! I can wish in one hand and crap in the other to see which one gets filled first, or go back to irating farming 😆

IMHO, these smaller cars at Summit Point consistently provide some of the best racing on the service. 😁

This is not just a car. The Formula Ford is THE magnificent beast and always provides great racing. I am still very slow, but even then I have great races on it. I can't have enough racing with it.

All races on iRacing are great, I have a new setup in boxes for years but due to house restoration and stuff, can't be setup. But hopefully later this year. But every race is fun, because it's as close to real racing one can get on a PC.

Feel bad for Oier in this series. First one he gets stripped of a win from a racing incident he had no chance of avoiding, and here we see him connect after the first lap is done presumably from a connection issue.

I usually defend Jim but he is "Captain Obvious" when he says "He's all over you"....it is a formula Ford race in the top split. All over someone is the way things will roll.....
What a terrific race. The Ford's, like the Skippys and Sports Racers provide us with great racing and entertainment ....even if Jim is oblivious

What a fantastic race Dave! I've been sim racing since the first formula 1 and Nascar games were released and just upgraded my rig from a playseat evolution with the g29 up to the fanatec dd pro, with the v2 pedals and the formula 2.5 rim attachedto the trak racer tr80 profile rig. My question is this,... I am nearly 5 seconds per lap SLOWER on this rig that the playseat with the g29. Is this a regular occurrence for folks moving up to direct drive from g29 type wheels?
Yes it will take you a little time to adjust but I'm surprised how much slower you are. You have the pedals setup as load cell pedals?
Pretty sure I discovered Dario’s second account as I raced against him on Barcelona. Looked at his history and he has a total of 8 races with 4 wins already.
nope, not me sorry :D I do have a second acct but it's been inactive for a bit and has maybe 30 races in it - definitely not buying content on my smurf either!

Dave how does this car go without the H-shifter, is it just a preference?
The real car has a h pattern so I'll use mine. Same with every car tbh, if it has a shifter I'll use it. You can run it just fine with paddles though and still use the same shifting technique 👍

Is this with an open setup or the fixed setup series? I tried the fixed setup yesterday but the gearing seem to be much longer and the car is really twitchy especially in T2 over the crest, I really can't keep the car there for 10 laps without wrecking it. Great car great series probably the best racing at this moment în iRacing!

Really what are you doing that car set to wise? Break bias? I've been trying for hours and my laps looks identical to yours but cant get any lower the. 1.18 per lap
You can see my brake bias on the bottom left of my relative. 53.5 for T1 then pretty much 55.5 the rest of the lap. This is fixed setup 👍
@@davecamyt nice I set my breaks like yours and cracked 17.5 just need to be a little smoother and cleaner lines I think
