Hello, very good video, I would like to ask you,? If I disconnect the battery terminals to do this job, is there to register my battery? Why did I remove the terminals from the battery? or is it not necessary?
Sticky EGR valves can cause odd hesitation, easy to check is by removing the plastic cap on the electrically operated type. To check whether the inlet and EGR port is restricted on N47 or N57 engines, take the main plastic engine cover off, on the inlet manifold there is a sensor fixed with either a 10mm bolt or T30 torx, take that out and see if the hole is blocked and if it is, your manifold/egr needs cleaning. Caustic soda is by far the best way, use PPE, soak and jetwash, repeat until perfectly clean.
@@Adrian-zc4jq From 100.000 km up. I had 165.000 km when I removed the inlet manifold, EGR cooler, EGR valve (which was completely stuck closed). Car is 318d E90 LCI (07.2010 build date). All inlet elements had big carbon buildup.
to clean the EGR / throttle body once a year? or waiting for a warning indication on the dashboard, I am new to using modern diesel engines, previously using conventional diesel
Great video, just done my one bmw 320d e92 135kw 184hp 2011 , a lot of dirty grease. Next manifold
Very Useful! Great job!
Thanks, very useful, but that's not the EGR - it shows cleaning the throttle body and the venturi.
Very usefull, thanks
Could the symptom of such a defect be a slight throttling when adding gas? Thx for your vid.
Yes
Yes.
What cleaner do you use for that job
I use a device for cleaning parts with pressure

What are the symptoms of a dirty intake / EGR flap?
yellow engine mark on you dashboard, real pain in ass.

vizintini: Engine has rpm fluctuations at idle and can hesitate when lightly acceleratin. The check engine light can also light up.

if you drive minimum 10km at any engine start is not necessary to clean this parts.

Ma è una x1 e84 ciao grazie per i video
I have 290900 error flow too high and 258400 exhaust temperature too high can this be the culprit?
in your case it may be a faulty temperature sensor
