Then he did the ice thing with the copper and I was happy again. Lol. I especially loved the parts where he pokes the fan, hammers the metal brackets to his work bench and then knocks over his own aluminium bar stack with the draws stick (sp?). Anyway this video hit my asmr fix good. I thought for a moment he might make more nordic gold but was happy as is with what was presented. These videos are so awesome man I love them so much. Thank you for making this content 🙌🙌🙌
Hi from Greece I enjoyed all your videos!
from 6:40 to 7:30: It is amazing, how brittle Aluminium is, compared to copper or steel. It's almost like glass.
That's is the nature of cast aluminum. (And iron) Forged aluminum is much more durable.
Gotta say, having a big TV in the shop is a great idea. Makes sense to watch something while doing tedious work.
Ok I wasn't expecting the steel angles to make great table corner protectors! That's pretty damn awesome. Ingenuity at work!
I love watching these videos at night to relax, they are very enjoyable. I'm a big fan of the organization and cleanliness. And yay for doggies!
Always remember to remind us that the cardboard keep the crucible from sticking to the fire brick or I'll know it's an imposter bigstackD
Ahh... The hot block melting through the ice... always so satisfying.
I'm interested in the take-apart selection process. How'd you know what is what, goes where, and which is trash?
Is it all experience or do you have testing methods? Trial-and-error?
Or even googling the parts, perhaps?
very nice - the attention to detail, and not too easily letting anything go to waste is very enjoyable to observe.
Ya know, I've been watching your videos for quite awhile now and I've been loving every second of them. But I have just one burning question to ask ... What got you started into doing the whole smelting deal in the first place?
These videos relax my soul I think. Idk what it is but watching the slag be scraped makes me so happy...lol, it's the little things I guess. Anyway, I love these videos and keep it up...
hey bigstackD, longtime viewer here. before you were at 200k subs. love your work, curious about your friend who gets the steel from you, what does he do with it?
He doesn’t have a channel mate all he does is when he gets about 2000kgs Of steel he takes it to the scrapyard cashes it in then grabs beers and comes back to my house👍🏻
@@bigstackD I thought it was 1000kg 🤔
I love your doggo's. I watch for them just as much as your melt's.
One question I've always had: Do you need to do anything special with your camera to protect it from the heat? Seems like you would. Love your videos. Keep 'em coming! :)
Probably zoom lenses
Actually I have 3 iPhones i film on and they always overheat so I put the overheated one aside and use the next one then that overheats and I just keep swapping them over 👍🏻.
@@bigstackD I’d never guess . Pretty cool though
@@bigstackD 👍🇵🇱,tnx.
I hope you are planning a big haul like this one or maybe a couple to put you at the one ton mark!
How old are the boys now? Ingot is so mellow compared to his little brother you'd think he was an old man
My favor part is that he loves the dogs, enjoys ice cream, and is doing something he loves! Keep it going!
Goyen you keep cylinder block top bottom for the wall. It is priceless.
When I first began watching, that "thump" when the propane goes from rising flames to a hot torch inside the can was unexpected and interesting. Now I find the sound is a signal to relax, because the melt has begun.
Congratulations on your beautiful stack. I love watching your video clips. I just settle down watch and enjoy. Love that vault
You surely love your metal! Thank you for sharing your work. Recycling is the way to go, I hate waste in any form and you have turned that idea into a masterpiece. Kudos.
Awesome clip as always Big D. I love the long ones.... longer the better. The melt and creating the movie must have taken ages. Fabulous sequence of the boys at the beach, then back to the workshop and the push rod at the end made me snort coffee out my nose. I get all excited Friday arvo... can't wait to see what you've got for us. Thanks so much 🤍
That is a GREAT Furnace! No HEAT radiates out of that thing! Plastic container would have warped if so. BIGSTACK, you're TOO COOL!
4:10 - whenever we get there i always think THERE’sS MA BOYZ! I think I’m addicted to your channel. 🤣👍🏻
I started doing this myself and I love it the only thing is I’m not that good at it
I like the metal cream puffs you scrape off the top. I love watching you, although those pups steal the show.
Lining the edge of the workbench with the steel peices was such a cool idea. Cheers 🍻
Hey big stack! Another amazing video! Iv been a long term fan on my other channel. Not sure if you remember me but I told you months ago you inspired me to progress towards creating my own smelting channel. Well I was finally able to do it!! Thank you for teaching me everything about smelting! I plan to do a tribute video to you in the future!
I am really loving your channel and what you do. I am a surrogate dad in the UK with degrees in metallurgy and applied physics and the dad of my daughter, deals in scrap metals. He currently is not doing what you do, but I really like the way you operate. mention friends, but not names.. That is good. We are in the UK, England. My daughter only knew about me because of corvid. (She hated maths) so asked me to tutor her
. Long story short, I really could do with your help... by the way not competition, but we rather reclaim than landfill
Also love the backgroung sound of the birds 😍
Honestly some days they are almost deafening they are so active and loud. But they’re quite quiet at the moment except for this little black bird dancing around near the shed as it just started to rain.
The rain right now is really annoying as I was just about to do this week‘s melt🤦🏻♂️
@@bigstackD cant wait for the next video😍
No idea why this video came up as recommended to me but I'm glad it did. Fascinating process to watch. Thank you - you have a new subscriber!
I will never undertake this type of thing, but your videos are very interesting and relaxing. Love watching you take time to give your little pups a treat too! Great videos!
Awww the poochers love the beach and those were some great pours
I appreciate the effort. I remember my time&effort spent doing my pricier forgings. Then I added up all the time&effort&cost of doing so.
Now I just take them back to the scrap yard as needed. Lol
I don't care man or woman, who wouldn't enjoy watching this?? So satisfying
Cheers Tim👊🏻😁
That sledge hammer part with the green painted covers suuuper satisfying lol
Your dogs could melt a person's heart they are absolutely adorable
I'm glad the boys are happy to get a walk in the morning
Definitely one of my favourite melts. Very organised and tidy as always. Trash to bars are the best content
Love how aluminium comes out once melted and polished
Can't believe I almost missed this video - that was an awesome melt! I never would have guessed you'd get that much aluminum and copper out of those innocuous looking green boxes from the dumpster. The triple molds are pretty cool - I really liked the jenga stack of aluminum ingots and yeah that is a cool looking copper ingot as well. Great video!!! 👍
Another great melt and beautiful pups as always. Thanks bigstackD u rule
What a nice stack of ally. Great vid. Loved the sillyness, mixed in with the layers of wisdom and safety. 10/10
I always enjoy your videos. Outstanding. Love the pups too.
I grew up not far from Lakewood, NJ. Cool to see something with my home state on it in your video!
Excelente amigo me inspirar a seguite en ese hobby GRACIAS
I like how ya go and be real careful and safe with all this stuff, and at the end, you stick your finger in a fan! cheers!
