I've only got 110 volt available now, but I'd be curious to see what the 110V process looks like compared to the 220V process. Timing and settings and whatever. Glad to see someone else post about this. I just got mine out for the first time a few days ago. The feed worried me too so good to know it is normal. However I wouldn't recommend using it on 120 volt. It welds but not well enough to recommend to anyone who only has access to 120.
Hi Ray. I'm welding sheet metal on 110 without and issue. Says it'll do 1/4" on 110. But I haven't tried it. On 220, properly prepped I've done 7/8" bar stock.
Just purchased one for a camp/driveway/backup welder burning flux core wire (already have a Lincoln Power Mig 180 DUAL in the garage on 75/25 gas) I'm pretty excited to see what this cheap lil inverter machine can do.
I can see your a straight forward kinda guy . Much like myself . Don't pull any punches tell it like it is . I just purchased an Eastwood 180 and mine did as yours did when loading the wire . Slow then take off speeding . It went away also after welding with it . I believe the 180 gonna hold up . I haven't had any problems as yet . Solid welder
@@jeffreybenevengo5237 Yeah my 180 is holding up great ! Use it just about everyday . It is a solid welder for sure . I have had no issues with the Eastwood .
I used to teach Welding. I have had three MIGs myself, as well as others at school. I just got a 180 for myself. I was curious about the feed when loading wire too .
Is your regualtor ok? Is the line kinked? Tank full? If so, when you press the trigger can you hear the relay to open the valve? If so make sure the hose connection at rhe torch connection is good. If you can hear the relay, you should be able to hear and possibly smell the leak. Hope this helps.
Great information but… This video really starts at 2:32 that’s probably why the algorithm has not been kind to the view count. Also ditch that useless intro. Do you internet a favor and go into UA-cam studio and use the clip tool and cut away the first 2 minutes and 31 seconds.

Anyone can judge me, it dont matter to me. There's way more positive comments on my channel than negative. I don't always get it right, but who does? I use it everyday in my shop. Still haven't used the spool gun yet. But it's a solid piece. That and my AHP Alpha are my 2 welders.
I'm thinking about buying the eastwood 180. Could you guys tell me how they are holding up after a year.

With the spool gun it's a regular hookup I believe. Haven't used the spool gun yet. I have a dedicated AHP machine for aluminum.
