I was just doing sync offset and it wasn't quite right. Adding in the extra filter to your exact specs ended up working perfectly for my Canon t3i. Thank you so much! Saved me a lot of trial and error.
It was the timestamps that did it for me! Thank you so much, the delays in my audio in my videos were getting really annoying to deal with.

SOLID dude, I was so confused cuz I had the ms delay on my cam synced with my mic and was still wondering why the hell it was off sync. After watching this video it's all synced up. Thanks a lot! FYI: My ms for my webcam was 633 and my mic delay is 733ms. Hope this helps!

Thanks for this. Really helped me fix my problem. I was trying to record a short video with QuickTime but the audio delay was making it impossible. Works way better with your method in OBS.

ANYONE watching this video, FIRST you have to note is which is the most delayed thing you have out of the 4. Video input, Audio input : GAME Video Input and GAME Audio Input. Then work your way down from there. You cannot speed up anything to match, so you have to slow down the faster inputs. Once you recognize the slowest input, start delaying the other inputs little by little till its flawless. Use increments of 100 mms. YOU'RE WELCOME 😁. How can I delay my game capture? I don't see an option for that, but it is the fastest out of everything.

Wow... Great... I am literally 15 minutes into using the program for the first time and this just saved me so much BS... Great tutorial. I am following this channel in the hopes I see other great tech tutorials. @@CoachGobotch Sadly, I jumped the gun and did a 50 minute session with no audio lol. I got it sorted. My equipment is old and cannot do it live with my current config but I can do it prerecorded and then upload it later, which is fine because I will likely start adding graphics and audio cues, stills and such.

Thank you!! I couldn't figure out why it wasn't syncing and the thought that maybe my computer wasn't powerful enough to keep up with each other crossed my mind too. This fixed the delay! My mic offset was 740 if it helps anyone else.

I am so excited to try this out. I really hope it works. I have a good feeling though. I use my Sony A6400 as my video but I started to notice a significant lag between the video and the audio. Everybody keeps on talking about having to post process the video/audio and I've been trying to find a "quick-fix". I don't know how many videos I've searched through and I don't remember how I got here, but I have a good feeling that this is it.

Polo 3000 in the end, I didn’t need to use the “async” filter on my camera. I just altered the “sync offset” in my audio properties.
What would happen if im on a stream and like watching a video with chat will everything be in sync with these settings or will i have to change filters on window capture?

2:05 How to adjust the delay:
Right Click Advanced Properties on Mic: 715ms Mic Delay (to match Elgato Game Capture)
Right Click Filters on WebCam, Add Audio/Video Filters, Video Delay: 400ms WebCam (slower than mic, matched to Elgato)
Play around with the values, YMMV

The Async is only needed if you capture video faster for some reason. But my webcam feed is a bit delayed after the game, so adding desync will just make it more out of sync. But the mic adjustments should fix it

It's months I'm trying to solve the desync problem between Wave 1 and Obs Studio. The cam is always a little late, the problem is only when I open a game and go to the right. The Milliseconds offset with me didn't work. How did you solve? I'm going crazy, I don't know what to do anymore

Thanks for this. Using two cameras and a scarlett for audio. I synced the main camera. Having issues syncing the other. Dont want to mess with the offset. Which means If the video is ahead of audio. We use the vid delay sync to delay video ?
Any reason you can’t just delay the mic by 315ms? Or are the camera and mic both delayed to sync up to your gameplay? Thanks for the video!

Is it the same steps if its the actual video from Elgato that is delayed rather than the mic & cam?
So I have the orignal elgato capture card but I use a elgato cam link 4k (attached a canon 5d MKIV) and when i test it out the mic/ webcam are in synch but kinda confused about getting the gameplay in synch as well. Any tips would be appreicated

I'm having a weird problem where the my microphone and webcam go in and out of sync many times over the course of a stream. Initially they are in sync, but then quickly, over the course of about a second, the webcam will fall behind the audio and stay there for a minute or so, then the webcam video will speed up for a second and catch up with the audio and stay there for a minute or so, and then the process repeats many times over the course of the stream. Any ideas on this?
I’m not sure... I usually in break points in my streams I re input the ms delays on my cam and mic and it keeps it all in sync.

They changed the SLOBS interface. I have a weird setup. My PC is Windows, Interface is Thunderbolt so I have to use a separate out from my interface into into my PC's line in/mic input on the MOBO. But randomly i started getting a delay on the video, like my video and audio are off-set. ANd I cannot figure out why. This is really annoying especially because I play music and record videos of me playing and singing. It looks fake. Any suggestions??
Perhaps you can help me! But I noticed I experience random spikes of lag from my webcam display only while I stream. It is completely random and I get no errors coming from slobs. It's like the cam display will lag then speed up really quickly to catch up with audio and I am at a loss on how to fix it. No gameplay lags at all, just the camera.

So I found the number that works for me on the webcam delay but for whatever reason, after a while the webcam desynchronizes. Then I have to adjust the webcam delay again and again. Any ideas?
make sure the timestamp option is off. Also, what I do before I stream or record I reset the numbers for the delay and then put them back in. Works every time for me.
Gobotch yea, I noticed when you reset the numbers it fixes the issue. I just unchecked the time stamps too. Sometimes I do long streams so it would randomly desync and I would just reset it. Was hoping there was a way to avoid that since it gets annoying

How can I delay my game capture? My webcam and webcam audio are lagging behind the actual game play. The game play and game audio are synced and so are the webcam and mic audio... but the game and webcam are not synced together. SO lost.

what if that doesn't work? I've tried 100, 5000, and every number in between and there is still a huge delay.
hmmm I guess you need to see what is delayed and match the ms offset with that delay to fix it. I would record a segment and import to some editing software to see what ms the delay is and match that in SLOBS.
Any idea if this works with Streamlabs console like no cap card.

I need help after done streaming on twitch the past broadcast videos are delayed. I fixed the quality of it but the sound for it is like 1-2 seconds off. Much help would be appreciated
Okay but... what if you're using a GoPro and capture card with it, which means you need to delay your game capture (playing on PC, so the GoPro/Cap Card creates about a 1 second delay between when I move and when it shows up on the viewer in SLOBS). There's no option to add a delay filter to game capture.

You’d need to test record to see what delay you have in MS. And go from there. My delay was about 315 ms but that will vary for each person

BUT! Unfortunately, I have a problem that I do not know how to fix.
At first everything flows on in the stream, but then I start to notice that the sound and the camera will not be in sync.
I do not know how to do this ..
Is it possible to change the settings while I stream? : S
When you start your OBS make sure to right click the app and start as admin. Sometimes that can fix it.
Also while in stream you can change the delay. Sometimes let’s say my delay offset is 200 ms. And I see it’s going wonky then I quickly go to the mixer and change it to 0 and then back to 200 and it fixes.
