So do I and I love it. The Touchscreen is great and the menus are easy to use. Really tempted to get the bigger one to gain an hour when preparing to go fly...😂
The earlier T240 version of this charger has been my go to charger for both bench and field for over a year now. And then only niggle I have is that charge end beeper is too quiet even in a quiet room.
I purchased the same charger as what you reviewed. For checking power level plugging in balance and discharge lead was more accurate. Not the best charger but my isdt charger died within two months of use. Best charger I have is hitec x2. Bought it 5 years ago and still running strong.
my t400 is flawless and my ht 206 TS is sweet , tried the htrc TS 150 when my isdt died , none have had the issue with monitor cell issue. default values need adj but so far no issues at all. the deans connectors is odd all mine xt 60 and i've got better balance boards. the 206 works well
Great and honest review, Lee! Thanks a lot! 😊 But yeah... They could've avoided issues by simply using XT60 connectors on the charger instead of the banana plugs. After all, it's a charger, not a power supply. 😬 Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊 BTW, do you have any filter on the e-mail that prevents you from receiving an e-mail with a link? The e-mail I've sent you had a link to a video about a few more momentary switches on the TX16S.
It looks pretty decent, IF the connected leads are chucked away! A small selection of XT60 and XT30 parallel boards would allow parallel charging as well as avoiding the need to solder the crap they supply. My chargers are in a field case that can be powered from an integrated PC power supply or external 12V lead acid. It's great but unwieldy for office use, where I mainly charge so I'm considering one of these T400s. The quality and fan noise seem to be the main concern so perhaps I should look to spend a bit more ...
I'm sorry out of topics, but can you explain what openHD is? I saw many people on Facebook group starting to use it. And as always your explanation is the best explanation ever on the planet! Thanks
It's an 'opensource' way to get HD video FPV working. It's something that I've been looking at but I understand the docs are being updated at the moment so I may do a series on it when they are sorted.
Hello I purchased the t240 duo charger and I'm quite pleased with it, m I truly love your review on the 400 model.. I was wondering if you answer questions concerning this charger let me know please. Some people don't reply. Keith in the USA
Interesting that you prefer XT's to Deans. I've found that XT's can give a false sense of security, because the casing can be a tight fit when you join the M and F, but it doesn't necessarily mean that the PINS are a good fit! Our club has had a few model losses by power failure in flight through this. On testing, on the ground, it was found that the pins/sockets were getting mad-hot because they were arcing, although the casing was a really tight jam-fit. Deans, on the other hand, are only held together by the pins, and have no external friction. - - -- - - Have you seen my query direct to you re the Taranis S6R and the altimeter/vario?
I ordered this and discovered it is Max 160 Watts Ch1 and Max 40 Watts Ch2?! This was the most important info to know upfront that this is not an Equal Channel Charger on AC Power?! I now need return and look for something else.
Its max 200w on AC 400w on DC, you can adjust the split of that 200 or 400 however you want across the 2 channels, e.g. you could have adjusted it to 100w each side, or if running off dc then 200w each side
How come its gone up £4 since you posted this earlier this morning? I know you wont be making £4 from it, but strange how BG has upped the price - nice looking charger though. I wonder if prices on BG changes from person to person?
What are the largest batteries you have Lee? Would be interesting to know if it really can supply the high amps it says it can. I have had many chargers in the past that say they can output 10amps, when in reality they never pumped more than 4 or 5 amps into a pack. Though I will say that my trusty ISDT Q8 is an exception, it easily pumps out a full 12amps into my large 12000mah 6s packs. So nice being able to charge such large packs in about 40 minutes with the ISDT, compared to the 2 or 3 hours it was taking with my other chargers. So would be very interesting to see if this T400 really can output it's rated power - especially from the built in AC adaptor. I run my ISDT Q8 from two old 12v 50amp server power supplies, run in series - they don't even get warm outputting 12amps. Maybe i am just skeptical, but i have my doubts about the built in AC adapter in that T400 being able to handle a 12amp draw.
I have the previous model. it has never been accurate and cannot be calibrated. Support was poor to say the least I would not consider buying another HTRC product
Do you have any experience with the HOTA D6+ charger (from banggood). Looks interesting to me. Metal case, Dual channel and with AC 300W the highest that i could find.
I have various chargers - 3 different ISDT's, Turnigy etc. and the Hota D6 pro (with inbuilt power supply). The Hota is absolutely brilliant - 2 channels for charging different batteries / chemistries and even a USB output so I can charge my phone or radio transmitter - very well built too and a great GUI
@@conradtaggart9959 i asked experience with the PLUS the HOTA D6+. It is a totally different charger from the same manufacturer. With a higher AC Wattage and not wireless phone charger but with a bad app if i believe the one review i have seen. But i don't care about that app so i want to know if it is a good one from more than one or two reviews.
Where else could they have taken a shortcut ? Unbelieveable how stupid these manufacturers are to present us their weak points right on the table like "Who needs isolation ?" for a grid connected device that can easily burn down your house. Thx for pointing these things out cause if I had bought it and then complained about missing security things would have become a mess.
My experience of ISDT has been awful. Two chargers one of which was a D2 and both failed within 18 months. I tried contacting ISDT directly but with no joy. My view is it’s rubbish kit over marketed by a company that has no interest in long term customer service.
BANGGOOD, maybe time to listen and take care how poorly protected shippings arrive, not always, but quite often, better too often for the most of us cause in case of our, the customer complain, a nightmare of back and forth kicks in. At least west european experience 1 out of 4 arrive heavily beaten due to missing protection.
you need to plug the main lead and balance lead for it to real voltage correctly same with my t240duo for cell check
I got the 200 series and is the best charger I own , from hitech to lore expensive, so far so good for me.
So do I and I love it. The Touchscreen is great and the menus are easy to use. Really tempted to get the bigger one to gain an hour when preparing to go fly...😂

For AC powered chargers in that price range I prefer the Thunder series and a parallel board. Metal construction. I have had mine for years.

Polite, well written questions will almost always get an answer here... Happy flying!
naaah, 400w only on DC input but 0nly 4s voltage allowed, without the pretty screen it wouldn't get a second look.

I have the t240 and it only puts out 7.7 amps running off DC power
Hello sir, I own agriculture drone for spraying, my battery is lipo with 16000mAh and 44.4 V. Pls. Suggest me good charger

If i wanted to parallel charge with this charger using 3s 2200 charging at 1.5c at AC configuration. How much battery can I charge at the same time?
Did you get any weird sounds when charging (fan is on)?
Not that I recall. If I had I'd have mentioned it in the video.. Best of luck!

For the price of $88.99 at BG and the quality from CN, I wouldn't waste the $ or my time, there's better chargers on the market..! =)
