Short to say, one of my favorite latest pony tracks. I decide to cover it and put my own spin, inspired by those "When They Cry" series OSTs and a little sanity slippage.
Okay, when I say "When They Cry", I mean both Higurashi and Umineko. Coarse sounding voices and whispers are present in Higurashi while dramatic soprano and choir are totally Umineko.

This as a remix works perfectly, as peoples minds will automatically expect the want it, need it in the chorus, when they hear the faint words, they fill in the sounds in their heads. :D

This is at least 30 times as good as the original. All the critique I left on the original does not apply to this, except some of the lyrics which you manage to make fit far better than the original. And your additions are perfect! You managed to capture the greatness that was in the original and left behind the mistakes. Great job!

I ADORE this primarily because most girl singers are focused on sounding "pretty" and "feminine," yet you capture the seduction, exhaustion, and disparity of the lyrics in your voice.

I dig Higurashi. This is a little too bouncy to be a direct influence, but it's still good.
music takes me far back... to a time when my heart wasnt cold, to when my life was sweet. then when it all became hell. then the present. where i don't know where i'll end up, or if i go insane. personally, i already am insane... i just dont show it because it's called illegal in some states... main point is, it reminds me of the moment. of when my life. snapped. collapsed. ended. when i was reborn as an image of darkness and depression...

Creepy-tastic songs don't usually attract me. I'm a passive/aggressive sort of guy when it comes to music. Power metal, lonely piano, dynamic grand orchestras with Latin chanting, somber post rock, and other stuff that either sets my soul on fire or extinguishes it is what I usually seek; there's no room for in betweens. But this song... I want it... I need it...

Not only does the song reflect an eerie and chilling/thrilling aspect, but your addition of crazy Twilight Sparkle was such a MAGNIFICENT addition that it really is a captive song. Amazing. Truly, it is. Both this and the original version are very good and have their own pluses and minuses. This cover adds the 'creepiness' of the background vocals and the female voice, but I dunno, I just didn't like how it was sung is the best way I can describe it. The original has all the same creepiness but lacks that haunting background and the male voice fits better.
But, as I said, very good cover!

Out of all the different covers of this song, yours is the best, you add more vocals, more beat, more effort in general that in the end makes it sound so much better. Not only that but you used different tones for the chorus and the main singing itself, very well done.

My OH MY! this is one incredible cover! Ill be honest I like it better than the original, it does sound it was meant to have a female singer helping correlate not only to the cartoon, but also the common stuff on witches and the like. You make it sound sound sexy, captivating and mad at the same time and that breathing sound is like you were trying to seduce someone into whatever the character is trying to achieve with it.

@Ryralane Actually, Umineko as well. Higurashi focuses on the eerie, distorted kind of music. Umineko has this classical-dramatic kind of creepy music. The soprano solo and choir are actually characteristics from Umineko soundtracks :D

Yes, I do have trouble with this one actually. The thing is my microphone doesn't do well with whispering kind of sound it's very faint. I tried double the track actually, and some people say they still can't hear it. So yeah :/

@Seofangurl Yes it is. I actually explained it on past comments that I try to combine the eerie-coarse sounding singing like those you can hear on Higurashi soundtracks and operatic chanting like Umineko.So it's both. (:
