I joined mylittleremix recently and the members there have some mad (pony) music skills. And I've been consumed with the idea of Solar Empire vs. Lunar Republic too and when I heard Not A Clever Pony's "For The New Lunar Republic" I just can't help about thinking some ode to add up.

After so many years this song is magnificient. When I listen, it seems to me that I find myself in a completely different time, I don’t know, in a parallel universe or something. I love this mesmerizing voice.
This is an example of how pony music should be. No trashy remixes or hammy lyrics that mash in pony words to suit a criteria. Just excellent music that you could play to a non-fan and they'd like it.

OR now that I'm out of the army, I have NO life, and make just above a C on classes that aren't super easy just to bribe my conscious into accepting my otherwise frivolous (but not abominable) hobbies...*cough cough*addictions*cough cough. To cut myself a little slack, my fat self hasn't been in school for 6 years, so I'm disappointed, but it wasn't WORSE case scenario.
And I meditated on these things while I was finishing up my contract. While I was working, but not in a way that stopped me from working.

This...this is amazing! Somehow, it reminds me of some of the opener tracks from goth/symphonic metal bands like Epica, Within Temptation, Sirenia or Nightwish. Luna is deffinately great source material for any female-fronted Symphonic Metal Opera.
The vocals and orchestration are breath-taking, and the mix of latin and english strikes a particular chord of brilliance with me. Beautiful beyond measure, and I cannot express enough how much I adore this!

I really don't have a problem with Celestia, but by God I must say the NLR has some of the best fan music I've ever seen! Of over a thousand songs in my itunes, I possess only four fandom songs: one is a Yoshi's Island cave music remix, and the other three are NLR songs. Well done, you guys! :)

thats how it starts man, you may not like it yet but give it a chance. the worste part is watching the opening. Also if you look around at the remixes of MLP music youll find some really amazing songs.

This shit is a time capsule, I remember when all the pony hype was around and all you could do was role your eyes when you scrolled down the comment section of anything NLR related and daw full on heated arguments about *inhales* pony... politics... Bro i just liked the music, i didn't ask for a sideshow. However, I won't lie, it was really damn funny to scroll down any comment section on UA-cam/Facebook where there was lunar vs solar stuff just to see Trump vs Hilary level arguments, some of them were really entertaining.

There's a reason why I use stings, there are brass instruments but I focus more on the strings. String instruments have more dramatic yet mysterious character. It's elegant. This captures Luna's character. If you focus on brass, it will be too brave and intense. Well, for wind instruments, totally out of question. Wind instruments give a shill and tranquil feeling, you may use it for songs like this, but only for accent.

In terms of heading up the Republic, I like the title "Premier" for Luna. It still sounds stately and elegant, but it can still be conducive to a republic.

@PurpleNinjaCJ It's a song created by NotACleverPony (For the New Lunar Republic, this song is remixing it). Im not sure the idea existed before that song, but it is basically now an idea created by bronies that Luna has her army and rebels against Celestia, who is portrayed as a tyrant here. Everything else is open to interpretation. There's absolutely nothing in the show that suggests this, but its a fun thing to imagine.

At first, I told them that Luna was my once and only name, but the idea of the Nightmare who lurks at the edge of the Solar domain held too strongly. They wanted a fearsome champion, not a brave and patient advocate.
So fearsome is what I became. I was no longer a symbol of justice and hope, but a glowering visage printed on war banners.
