After cutting and coloring this piece, I felt it needed something poetic. It felt very "The Tree of Life" so.... I hope you enjoy. #sony #supertakumar #vintage #flare #alanwatts
I have this lens and it's my favorite of the Takumar series. I'm a fan of the 28mm focal length but the character of this lens is amazing. Great video!
Fan. Tastic. Great color and holy shit. The bokeh for a 28mm is beyond desirable....that's my next lens. Very moving what these images evoke...well done. Soul moved. Thank you ... The universe provides beauty if we are lucky enough to see it let alone share.
Thank you! This is the older “Super Takumar” version one. It has a convex front element and larger front filter thread diameter. Version two I believe was also “Super Takumar” but they redesigned the lens. Flat front element and thinner body. The. Third generation was the “Super Multi Coated” with same flat element and thin body.
Congrats Lance! It’s a great camera. So I shoot everything on HLG3 picture profile. The S log profiles on the 8-bit Sony cameras are really hard to work with. Based on my research and personal shooting, HLG3 has the best dynamic range and is much, MUCH easier to color grade in post. However some people do get good results with S-Log. Just shoot as much as you can and see what works for you.

I just bought this lens, can't wait to try it myself. The bokeh looks impressive for a 3.5 lens!
It's a good image that expresses the difficult-to-handle lens flare well!
I really like the tone of this video 😍
Much thanks!!
Inspired work...
Awesome 😎

Thank you for watching! More to come in the near future!
@@shadowcultur i sub'd in anticipation of the future 😀😎
This is my default lens for my Pocket 4K. Never look back for it's sharpness and character among my collection! 😊
Amazing work 👌 Is this the super takumar or the super multi coated takumar?

Which is better, 24mm or 28mm glare
“Better” is subjective but I prefer the flare from the 24mm. It’s I little more pronounced
😊Thanks
Hey, I live in the Tulsa area too!
Hey Logan! Beautiful footage and sound!! Is this the 1st gen version with the 58mm front element you used here?
Yes this is the early generation 28mm with the large front element and fully exposed distance scale.
@@shadowcultur Awesome! I figured. The beautiful flare looks very similar to my 1st gen Takumar 50mm. Thank you!
@@Hemimod yes of course! Thanks for watching!
