This song was inspired by Gary Rossington (one of the guitarist) taking his brand new car and wrapping it around an oak tree while fd up on liquor and qualludes, his injuries caused the band to have to delay the start of their tour. It's just another great song by the boys from Jacksonville, Florida, and much appreciated. Ronnie didnt try to sing lyrics with hidden meanings except for maybe " Gimme Back my Bullets " which meant bullets on the music charts. He was strait foward but had a wisdom in songwriting well beyond his years. Never be another like him....or his " Mules"
