A dad-of-two has shared his £10k collection of Action Men - some of which he made from scratch.
Richard Gamble, 57, has 500 of his favourite figurines - some of which date back to the 60s.
He showcases his impressive collection in his dining room which is stacked from floor to ceiling with Action Men in their original packaging.
The former industrial designer bagged himself his dream job at Hasbro a decade ago which also means he helped design 150 figurines.

I miss the good old days .. Action Man is by far the toyline I have played with the most (and the longest ... Almost 10 years!).
Seeing this wonderful collection makes me sooo nostalgic x)
If you like Action Man I've been making lots of short films using them, including Batman & King Kong
I loved Action Man, sadly he seems to be forgotten now
No, cause I’m 14 and I have like 17% of all his action man collection ? Like my dad had action man, and I have played with them and it was soooooo cool that’s why I got them :)
Yeah because they don’t want to raise children with such masculinity ideals. Action man represents patriarchy. Besides they would all go mad nowdays due to why action man is white and not black. Times have changed unfortunately.
Not by me he ain't, I still got my collection. ❤❤😃😃
I absolutely adored 90s action man. Countless hours of fun.
Really don’t understand why the wife would have such a problem when it was his job, she should embrace his love and passion
Thats women for you
@@Marco_Saitama well that’s stupid. I’m female and I collect Barbie dolls, action figures and Horror memorabilia. I’d love to be with another collector

You're an exception
As someone who grow up with action man as a child in the 90s, this is such an honor to watch. Action man ruled my childhood, I had so many Action man toys and I had 2 Dr x toys haha.
My favourite Action man, had to definitely be the ninja one with the moving eyes hahaha. I remember in 1997 on Christmas, my mum got me the Action man Vehicle set. I got a Tank and a Helicopter, and a Truck and a Jeep.
I actually have a picture back in 1997, with a Action man in the Tank back in 1997 on Christmas day.
Great memories, I had so many much fun with them.
ACTION MAN, THE GREATEST HERO OF EM ALL!!!.
So much nostalgia right now, Action Man was such a big part of my life only shared with Lego up until I left primary school
Action Man should come back for sale!
My childhood, I used to go to supermarkets in goa to look at the action man toys 😍
They got sold in Goa too?!
@@RoyalKnightVIII yea buddy, in plenty.
I had the camera action man as a kid, really cool
I still have my actionman that came out the year I was born. He came with a dirt bike, helmet with goggles, boots that clip onto the bike and shoulder pads and a dvd aswell.
I would actually visit this place, pay to enter and treat it as sacred ground because I love action man so much 💟
I may have 1 I dident see in connection, it was a ww2 action man in a modern-day box, but also had the old box inside that box I remember when I was 5-6 1994-1995 getting it in Argos it’s still on my mums loft
I have a similar collection of boxed action man figures!
It's nice to see one of the creators of many happy childhood memories still has such a fondness and appreciation for his work.
My first Action Man was the Sport Extreme, my favourite was the Polar Mission and the ones that got away either because of availability or my own ignorance were the Abseil Kit for Sport Extreme, Crimebuster & Raid, Street Commander, Goldeneye and the Amazon Tracker 4x4.
It was such a fun time to be a child in the 90s UK. I had Action Man, Toy Story, WWF, WCW, Cartoon Network, CITV, SM:TV Live, the Sega Megadrive and the Playstation to occupy my free time.
I want them to go back to the shops !
Action man was such a huge part of my childhood in the 90s. I'm so surprised there are almost no UA-cam videos about Dr X and the brand last the 70s!
Action Man was a BIG HIT in my homecountry of Greece back in the 90s and i actually owned a lot of these figures.😀
Let’s take it back to the 90s
This used to be huge, but for some reason no one seems to remember it!
I loved my Action Men.. I had like 40 of them and I spent so many happy years of my life playing with them... I played with them so much the paint started to wear.. So many happy years I had playing with them... I wish I had a time machine.. )`:
My childhood hero 😊😊😊
The figures that are made with Action features just limits the amount of play you can have with that particular figure and there are so many that have them its a real shame they did that, children have enough imagination they really didn't need them.
One that really baffles me is the Action Man Surfer, a quite well articulated figure but for some reason he has one arm permanently stuck out in a surfing position taking away the opportunity to dress him up and use him as anything else but a surfer!
I would love to see a making of of those commercials. They really put effort in it and made real props and equipment for the actors like diving masks that actually match the toys. The cutters also did an amazing job to make them action packed.
Anyone got insights here?
That roller extreme was one of my favorites... Ohh good ol'days....
I am freakin' jelaous, i also want to have so many action man figures
I had so many fun hours with gen 2 Action man. I was honestly shocked when i stopped seeing him in the stores.
I prefer the old style Action Man , far superior
It was my dream to collect all the figures of Action Man…
I loved mine. Played with them for hours on end. Mostly inspired by films like ‘Where Eagles Dare” and “The Great Escape” Still got them in the loft if I’m not mistaken. Just a request though. Why the absolutely annoying overly loud background music? It’s an interview for goodness sake…. 🙄
I remember those action man adverts when I was a kid and the cartoons.
I had a few.of.these figures and the red Street Racer car! I loved the animated series and the 3D animated show that came out later. Great times!
AMAZING COLLECTION LOVE IT
I loved action man. Sad my collection is left in Donetsk :(
Had 1973 Action man green Beret. Beret was material. Had it for years then early 2000s got rid of it along with chieftain tank cannon and boat Can kick myself. Years later wanted to get another action man. Then early months of last year I picked up a 1982 action man talking commander with eagle eye unboxed. Last week I called into a vintage toy shop thinking I pick up one but came back with 2. A 1973 Field commander and field radio boxed and a 1992 G.I. Joe. Duke. US army soldier unboxed. Both perfect condition and saved money. G. I Joe missing a few items backpack pistol knife and case
Beautiful collection!😍
But what is that book with all the action man toys?
This guy MADE my childhood. That Nineties-Early '00s run of Action Man was insane. Sadly they got too gimmicky and the ability to dress and swap accessories fell by the wayside. They became lumps of plastic that lacked the imagination of before.
Thats a good way to hide his hidden room lol
Hermosa colección yo estoy empezando la mía también de action man
Why were there so many different adaptations?
Hello, while searching I found your UA-cam channel by chance. I see that you are an amateur and specialist in man actions. I am Belgian and
while rummaging in my attic, I found an Action Man Sailor (1977). I know it's a collector's item. Can you tell me how much this figurine can be valued? Where can I find a site to sell it ?
Thank you for your help. Sincerely
Does anybody know the book he’s looking at in the video? It look like a figure guide book, there’s plenty of these on the original action man palitoy line, but I can’t find any for the hasbro line which most of his collection is from. Thanks
Hé probably will have it in his collection but I miss a Space mission Actionman that I have
What’s the album catalogue in this video? Where can I get it?
This was when toys where made properly
Anyone know which book is shown that has pictures of all the action man sets?
Yes
@@mcgardenmaintenance3354 what book?
@@J.sacados action man the real story 1966-1996
@@mcgardenmaintenance3354 thank you
Action Man was THE Man back in the day, the brother & I would create many a battle scene around the house and garden, fighting DR Gangrene or just hitting the brother around the head with one if we fell out!
Other day I thought. They should have brought a steam locomotive and train driver action man.
Is it posaunte to get this reference catalogue somehow?
It is sad that tv for kids nowadays are less action packed. I think my kids will be seeing action man 1995, action man 2000 and atom before he or she knows how to talk hahaha. To me these kind of shows taught me more principles and wisdom than school. I think such environments would help more than stuff like paw patrol
Why did it stop I thort it could be like barbie keep going
I saved all my money as a kid to buy the helicopter for myself and it was worth it!
Awesome!!!!😎🥳
Where can I get the PTSD ACTION MAN figure?
From the top toys for kids....i grow up with action man jijoe transformers lego playmobil

I did this morning
@@mcgardenmaintenance3354 really. I wonder if there’s contact info
@@Tweet_Wrestling I’ve managed to secure Natalie off him
Hello
WOW!
Daddy stronger
With the most respect possible, you know you destroyed the greatest boys toy brand ever in the UK right!? Fathers bought them for the name and kids didn’t like them. Using the word ‘articulation’ along with these modern figures is - ironic surely!?
Yo
can i have one of each
sad me when i see
I like action man dol end to play
