Thanks for watching! Today I wanted to talk about difficulty spikes in video games. Sometimes when playing a game, the difficulty will increase way more than you expected. This can lead to some frustrating experiences when you’ve been enjoying the game throughout. Let me know in the comments how you feel about difficulty spikes and what games have them. I had almost forgotten about the M&L:SS final boss. With FF7 Remake, I have not played it for quite some time - maybe need to go back to it - but I'm not sure how much trouble I had with that house.
M&L SS final boss was something else. I just remember the first time playing FF7 Remake and the house just being frustrating to me. Other bosses were fine but that one I found tough

And yeah any Star Ocean game here is warranted, as they all have difficulty spikes
Yep possibly the worst level across all Halo games. And for sure Star Ocean games have that difficulty spike. I just remember the 4th game giving me the most trouble with it
Oh god, I remember that dreadful Halo 3 flood level. It's always the flood infested stages that suck ass 🤣 I got stuck at the end of Bravely Default, could never beat the final boss because I was under-leveled and grinding on the abysmal enemy types made it impossible to get stronger, so my whole playthrough was ruined 😭
Yep that Halo 3 level still gives me nightmares haha. I really need to play Bravely Default one of these days, but yes I've done that for some games which sucks when you pretty much have to start over to level up
I remember kingdom hearts would kick your ass if you weren't prepared. Even the first boss in wonderland could be tricky it was ridiculous 😂
True, especially when you get them to about half health and they destroy the table. Makes it hard to hit them after that
FFX I didn’t find to be difficult because I used Yojimbo’s ultimate attack which one shots bosses…..I may have leant on that tactic a lot 😅 I beat Kingdom Hearts on the PS2, I guess I must had done some grinding 😂
@@bundjohn I keep forgetting Yojimbo can do that. Of course I didn't use him that much so even if I paid him a lot he wouldn't use Zanomato most of the time. Fought Penance the very long way lol. KH I beat multiple times, but the end of the game is such a gauntlet
@@TotalLevelYT from memory you need to pay him more the more times you use him so if you don’t use him much he shouldn’t be that expensive. But this was 20 years ago that I last played it 😅
I hate when they throw in a unexpected difficulty spike. That halo level sucks especially on the harder difficulties and yea man the hell house fight in remake was bs
Yeah it's frustrating when that happens and all of a sudden, you have to grind your way through that part. Halo 3 is such a fantastic game, but that level was awful as back in my high school days, I definitely played it on legendary, and hell house was so dumb
