lmao Rod, you ok buddy?
To be fair, he seems like the type of person who has zero understanding of "just going with the joke", he probably would have had it much easier had he learned to embrace his meme status.
Ruined his childhood? Yes. But life? Not really. He did become a president of a law company.
That's the rule, not the exception, bubby.
I served with General Star Wars Kid during the Clone Wars he was second only to General Skywalker.
Pardon your French, literally lol
@Oggy it was ok lol. Sounded more spanish when saying rivers but hey theyre related languages lol
Daniel Broome He is American, so He pronouces it The English way ;)
il prononce ghyslain guy slain lol
6:58 I'm from Belgium and I speak french
"Trois Rivières" was pronounced almost perfectly if you put the accent asside.
The only mistake was that the "s" from "rivières" is slient.
We are not offended, you may live another day
I'm from France and i agree 100%
if he was in public school he probably would have been praised
I'm from Quebec and your pronunciation makes me mad moist.
Did he change his name to Darth Maul?
Just kidding. This it is an inspiration. I'm so glad he's doing good things now.
Dude, Whang! You're awesome man! I've been binging on your videos for hours!
These Tales From the Internet videos give me liiiiiife! Not proud but kinda proud to say I put off work too often when I know you’ve uploaded 😅
Work will be there when you're done
Whang! I’ll try to keep that in mind lol 💙
Ok after finding you some time ago. I have now seen all your work. I am so glad that this was the the last one to pop up. But i must say plz keep up all your fantastic work.
im just here for the mustache.
The Starwars Kid doesn't have a mustache tho
As a guy who was born and raised in Trois-Rivières, this is probably the worst pronunciation I've ever heard of the name of the city.
Side note, I only heard about the whole thing when it was brought up on TV and in the newspapers. Finding out he ended up in Pavillon Arc-En-Ciel hit really close from home because I actually went there until I was five.
We prononce it ''jeeslain''. Love from Québec daddy !
Jtzkb it dors
I’m so happy I found this channel!
I relate on a spiritual level to star wars kid lmao
PapaTimmy the lmao ruined a perfectly funny comment
PapaTimmy Why make fun of the weird animator guy by saying he uses his gf when you’re gf gave you 40k subs, just a little criticism
Bro you remind me of dude wheres my car, jessie
Same
Miss u papa
You are surprisingly good at finding info on things that are so obscure
*the legendary star wars wars*
Lol I read that Pavillon Arc en Ciel part and instantly thinks about L'arc en Ciel, and then their picture pops up. Caught me off guard.
You honestly didn't pronounce the French names that badly! Keep up the good work, man!
Awesome channel! Very informative and a big dose of nostalgia from the internet of old.
7:01 Holy Shit I am Honored to say that I have been in the same town of the Legend Star Wars Kid. This is now the happiest day of my life.
I love this guy's pronunciations. Huge fan of the channel. Bon Courage!
"Hey dude, thanks for the hours of internet entertainment. Heres an iPod and some money we raised to show our appreciation" :)
Aww *notices the video is only halfway done*...now how does it go horribly wrong?
Awesome video. I wouldn't mind seeing you deep dive into Fredryk Phox. If you could bag an interview with him where he's at today...that would be amazing!
The internet is brutal... or rather some people who use it. Cyberbullying has become a problem we have to talk about with education and awareness.
As a guy from Quebec, you're forgiven for the misprononunciations because your videos are so instructive. Continue ton bon travail! 😉
As someone who’s had their fair share of “being memed”, I get that kid’s misery. It really doesn’t feel good.
Love all your content. You should have millions of views.
Hey Whang!
As a native Francophone from Québec (the place where all this started), I wish to applaud you for trying very hard to pronounce those names and places.
Speaking French when you don't know how to is a difficult thing. There are accents there that just don't really exist in English.
Kudos to you, my man. Well done.
Great video - I especially loved the way you said MacLean's. I've never heard it said like that! Thanks for the content.
I can’t believe I’m this early on a samuraiguitarist video!
Just kidding I love your content
Great shitpost
DZAP 194 hahahaaa Dude..
This is not samuraiguitarrist, this is Mike from Become the Knight
This is not the Ultimate Warrior, brother. This is the Renegade.
As a french guy. I was quite entertained buy your pronunciation of french word, name and place. Especially Guyslain.
You did your best.
I want a shirt that says “ when I’m bored I watch Whang! on the internet “
“When I’m bored I get my whang out”
Whang! I really enjoy your energy and personality, brother! Keep on kicking ass!
Oh yeah, i live in Québec, and they told us that story in school , to show us to not post things on the internet and cyber intimidation xD
Awesome! You should try to investigate the fat Kid falling off the slingshot video. I remember it was on America’s Funniest Videos like 15 years ago, but I think many people would be curious to find out who and what happened to that kid.
No need to apologize to your French viewers. They’re French, they deserve it.
We hate French people too you know
What did we do to deserve it :(
For real man, he went full soy boy. Tbh, all you dumb ass French would be speaking German if it weren’t for us so I think y’all owe us a big sorry.
I went to France once, it was okay.
3/10 would fly directly to Vienna next time
@@latenightkrew1963 And the United States of America would be part of the British Empire if it were not for the French, would it not? Atleast the French had the stomach to fight the war instead of huddling away on an island and pretending it did not exist.
Im so happy I found this channel Awesome content.
What a classic
Love the videos man. Keep them going. Great research and very Thorough in your research
Congrats on the silver button, i had work so i couldn't watch your stream.
Stars wars kid. We love you and your video. You may have never wanted this but we are so glad its there.
Loved the video, but coming from QC myself, damn that pronounciation of that name x)
Guy Slain! Badass level 9000! Par contre, patrimoine de Trois-Rivières... ouch!
It's good to hear that things eventually turned out okay, and that he was hopefully able to help other people get support. He sounds like a generally good guy.
I love this channel. Also F Kazaa lol
Nothing was ever what it said it was
You were unwillingly one of the first people to feel the essence of haters gonna hate. Whatever shit you had to suffer from those kind of people is by definition false. Something we have now learned some 15 years later. In fact you seem to be the exact opposite. So on behalf of all the good guys on the internet (those who are not wrong):
We love you StarWars kid!
This is so embarrassing.
His entire school made fun of him yet became more successful and got a great job better than most of the people lmao.
Karma’s a bitch
Gotta say, as a French speaking Quebecker, seeing you trying to say French words, that gave me a good laugh :)
That being said, until now, I had no idea the Star Wars Kid was a Quebecker from Trois-Rivières (which is more pronounced like Troha-Riviere). Good to know, I guess
